Avatar f tn Ok lets get to my question. My doctor has put me on celebrex, lyrica, gabopentin and tylenol 3. for the past two months she put me on percoset. I was supposed to take two a day but went up to 4 or 5 a day not just to releive the pain but for the feeling it gave me. I went into the hospital 2 weeks ago with pnemonia. I was released after 3 days. Thesecond day I was home I overdid it again with thepercoset. My husband went to bed and about 10 mins after that he heard a bang. I had passed out.

Avatar f tn I take about 18 Lyrica a day. Please help me. I will die from overdose or severe depression. I have no one to talk to. My teenage daughters are suffering with me.
634733 tn?1316625992 Pat, I have taken both and neither one caused me to gain weight although the Lyrica caused an increase in cog fog and had to discontinue. On the plus side, the Lyrica was excellent at relieving neuropathic pain. I know everyone is different...I hope your experience is a positive one!
669241 tn?1236264344 i took them along side lyrica and requip and clonazapam and diazapam but they dont mix well with some drugs make you tired.
Avatar m tn This was an excellent choice, as it helps with my anxiety, I use less clonazepam and I feel less drowsy. Lyrica did give me blurred vision and extra paranoia at the start, and that was indeed awful for the first couple weeks as I upped my dosage! After the initial troubles, I found that it really was better than gabapentin for me now. I have not gained weight, but remain the same weight I call my meds weight. I just try to remain active and not pig out.
740593 tn?1232488304 Hi and welcome. I'm sorry you've had such a bad time. I had read where some form of patches were recalled a while back, due to the release of too much pain med. (resulting in overdose). If the patches did help, maybe as you said...try a lower dosage for a while. If you want to read more about it the recall you can do so at the FDA Recall site. If the Lyrica is not helping then it doesn't benefit you to take it.
Avatar f tn I do take Magnesium, on 100 mg Lyrica twice a day. Topamax had overdose and how petrified of it, pharmacist error started me on 200 mg then went up to 400 mg instead of 50. Very bad results. Use to be on Neurontin but didn't help with he burning I have. Had problems with Cymbalta when I originally tried it but everyone is telling me how much better I'm doing. I can't tell what should be happening or what is side effects. Voltaren didn't help much so take Napracin.
335728 tn?1331414412 Well I saw my gp today again and she is going to wean me off of the Lyrica and start me on Elavil which used to be used as a depressant but is now used for pain or sleep issues. She may then try me on Cesamet later which is a THC derivative med that they used to use for nausea but now use mostly for pain.
Avatar f tn Hello I am sorry to hear your daughter is have so many problems with her new med and pain. I have never taken what she is on. I take Lyrica. When I first started it only took a day or two for my little side effects to stop. Everyone is different so they may start to clear up soon or she may not be able to take this med. She should talk to her doctor and see what they say. That would be the best thing to do. Have her get in to contact with them ASAP She may be having a reaction!!!
Avatar m tn My Dr was going to prescribe me lyrica for shingles pain but I was hesitant and refused at the time. I did some research on it when I got home and actually found that lyrica is approved in eroupe for anxiety. I also read reviews of people taking it for other things and found that it helped with their anxiety. Glad to know it is working for you. What dosage are you on?Where your prescribed the lyrcia for anxiety or something else? Hope it continues to help you.
Avatar f tn Sometimes pins and needles in the hands and/or feet is a sign of B12 deficiency
394774 tn?1235070839 You can get addicted to lyrica, it is a controlled substance. but if they work for you and take away the pain and you know you are gonna have to take them the rest of your life, who care.
Avatar n tn I am in the same position with my husband. He is taking Lyrica and we would like to try having our first child. I know this was two years ago, but did your husband end up going off the Lyrica before you conceived?
Avatar f tn Ive been on lyrica and nuvigil fro fibro pain and fatigue, and just found out I'm pregnant. I'm just wondering if anyone else has taken either one of those while pregnant. I've stopped them for i was on only 50 mg of lyrica and about 100 of nuvigil. but I'm still worried, and i feel like I've been hit by a train once again, the pain is almost unbearable, i know my doc personally, have an appt. with him for the 12th.
483733 tn?1326798446 I am taking 300 mg of Lyrica a day. I am having heavy swelling in my hands, feet and ankles and doctor put me on Lasix. It is helping a bit but still uncomfortable and pain. I've put a lot of weight on and am also having bad memory problems (can't find my words) and blurry vision. Is there anything that can be done that doesn't require me to get off of Lyrica? it really helps my pain. If I have to get off of it what is the best way to do so?
1985289 tn?1328579594 my question is the dr. prescribed lyrica for me and yesterday when i took it, i was feeling pretty weird and didn't really have the feeling of needing to take my methadone (35mg.), but i took it. Today i thought i might try not to take it. has anyone ever heard of lyrica for methadone withdrawel. it is very expensive at 300.00 a month, but i pay 420.00 month for the clininc. if anyone has heard is lyrica addciting?
1396846 tn?1332459510 I have been on lyrica for a while now. My doctor has increased the doseage and I am gaining weight in my stomach like crazy. Not sure what is going on with that, I don't want to gain any more weight than I am already carrying, which is alot. Next week I will be starting a heart healthy diet, my mom lives with me and has been seeing a cardiologist, so I figure that may help. If the diet doesn't help I may have to stop taking the lyrica.
617141 tn?1225706428 Transfer was postponed till I get better. Doctor gave me Lasix 40 mg to be taken once and Neo-K (potassium chloride) 500 mg twice daily for 5 days for now. My concern is that I ate two potatoes, one banana, a cup of yogurt, and tomato, all potassium sources today.
478403 tn?1266546009 Hi, I take 75mg when needed for RLS and neuropothy, and it lays me out! I mean, a full on sleep. I was prescribed 75mg twice a day, but just couldnt take it and even come close to functioning. I keep it around now to help with W/D's and use it when i get spastic pain in my feet. It works great for that. Im sorry, but I dont get w/d from Lyrica and cant really help you with kinda dose. Im a big guy too, 6'2" and 220 pounds and that stuff layes me out!
Avatar f tn d also need to note that I did not intend to overdose. It was sort of a forgetful and panic moment for me and I acknowledge that mistake.
Avatar f tn While I was undiagnosed, I was on Neurontin for a couple of months and then tried Lyrica. I do think Lyrica relieved more pain, but it did cause me more side effects and in the end, I was not happy with the balance of relief vs. complications. Lyrica made me feel more dizzy and confused. For example, I would take my dose, and within minutes I wouldn't remember if I had taken it yet or not. That made me uncomfortable.
