lyrica overdose signs

My Dad was recently put on oxycontin- short term- for hip pain. He is having surgery next week. My Mom called telling me that Dad was having to concentrate on his breathing, was dizzy and having problems concentrating. I told her to bring him to the hospital. I will be leaving to meet them but I thought that these were all signs of a overdose. I really haven't had these signs when I was abusing so I am not sure. Can anyone enlighten me?

Lyrica is the one medication that I know of that is made to help with the pain of Fibromyalgia. I am on Lyrica myself for Fibro and it has helped me but I must say that although it doesn't completely take the pain away, it does take away a lot of the pain. It allows me to function like a "normal" person although I really do have to watch what and how much I do. I cannot do things that I used to do, unfortunately but at least I can function. :) For this, I am thankful.

Ok lets get to my question. My doctor has put me on celebrex, lyrica, gabopentin and tylenol 3. for the past two months she put me on percoset. I was supposed to take two a day but went up to 4 or 5 a day not just to releive the pain but for the feeling it gave me. I went into the hospital 2 weeks ago with pnemonia. I was released after 3 days. Thesecond day I was home I overdid it again with thepercoset. My husband went to bed and about 10 mins after that he heard a bang. I had passed out.

after doing so much cocaine and i start getting a headache is the the begining of a overdose

I take about 18 Lyrica a day. Please help me. I will die from overdose or severe depression. I have no one to talk to. My teenage daughters are suffering with me.

I have heard that Lyrica actually worse that Gabapentin for the weight gain. I have gained a bit on the gabapentin too, but my mother was on Lyric and gained 30 lbs. in a VERY short time. you might want to reconsider it. I donèt know if it is a body type and condition that causes the weight gain, but I have heard it alot from people on Lyrica. Just check it out Pat, and see what your Dr.

What are your current thyroid hormone levels? Be sure to post reference ranges with results, since ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report. You should be getting tested periodically for TSH, Free T3 and Free T4. Do you have other symptoms of over medication, such as weight loss, diarrhea, tremors, etc. Do you have Hashimoto's?

I was taking both Lyrica and Ultram. I found that should I miss a dose of the Lyrica the pain was intensified and I didn't like the cognitive difficulty that it caused. I recently discontinued the Ultram after being on it for 3 yrs. Honestly, I am still achy and in pain, but I now see that the Ultram did little to begin with. I never had the dosage increased during the time I was taking it. Take care.

So i come back to get him, he signs release forms and i take him home. He randomly with have a hard time breathing just for a few seconds and keeps grinding his teeth, and hasnt slept all night on top of still recoverying from the drinking. He had a rather bummer ecounter regarding his ex and stuff that same night which im sure added to the total situtation.

hi everyone, my Neuro gave me some Lyrica to use for my pain in my legs, I took my first pill around noon today...75mg..he said to take it for a week..then go up to 150mg..two pills. well, not long after I took it, I felt horrible...like I was drunk or stoned or something strange...I didn't make sense.. felt horrible.. then I fell asleep on the couch for a few hours. I didn't even notice my legs..didn't care either..strange feeling....

what do you mean took, swallowed it, dude that's 7 grams of coke it will kill him. are you serious about this.

so can i take 20 mg of paxil er day and 60 mg of cymbalta and i also have diabeties so the cymbalta helps the place od lyrica because i cant afford lyrica so can i stay on both im very very very depressed

Hi, I take lyrica 225mg 2 x a day. I have been and still am where you are. I have had a few bad days where I was looking at that option. I was able to get help from here which was great. I have not talked to any of my Dr's about this due to problems I already have at work and did not want anything like this to help my work mess with me any more than they already are. I am on alot of different drugs so I can not say that it was the lyrica.

Have you had a follow up blood test to monitor your dosage change to 50mcg? It certainly sounds like hyper symptoms to me, but you should be monitored closely and tested with any dosage change. Call your doc and describe your symptoms and ask why you haven't been tested to check the effectiveness of your new dosage change. You should have been tested at 6 weeks!

Hey guys, I was takin 40-50 pills of coricidin (the OTC cough med for people with high blood pressure), and cuz i couldnt get them one day I over dosed on xanax and ambien and lyrica. I take Lyrica for my fibromyalgia on a regular basis, was hospitalized and not detoxed medically was not given anything to help with the detox symptoms. Drank last night (10-30-10) 2 drinks and am a WRECK today (Halloween) going to a party tonight and taking my children trick or treating. I'm a mess.

Hi and welcome From what you described, it does sound like fibromyalgia. The most important thing with fibro is sleep. Try to get a solid night of sleep every night. I take a benadryl and 3mg. of melatonin to help me sleep through the night. That one thing has really helped me. There are also exercises that help relive the muscle pain. A therapist could show you. Also, check out your local library for any books on fibro. Honestly, it is not wise for drs.

our four year old husky/shepard mix is reacting to an overdose of ivermectin. we are living in the dominican republic and are losing faith in our veterinarians. he has been there for over a week. we were seeing small signs of improvement (an effort to get up, recognition) but he seems to have slipped back into a comatose state. he makes no attempts at getting up. his symptoms started on a monday--we are now on friday of the next week.

someone i know had a drug overdose on tylenol she is currently in the hospital they gave her medicine but it was passed 10 hours so they said it probaly wouldn't work. I do take Magnesium, on 100 mg Lyrica twice a day. Topamax had overdose and how petrified of it, pharmacist error started me on 200 mg then went up to 400 mg instead of 50. Very bad results. Use to be on Neurontin but didn't help with he burning I have. Had problems with Cymbalta when I originally tried it but everyone is telling me how much better I'm doing. I can't tell what should be happening or what is side effects. Voltaren didn't help much so take Napracin.

Well I saw my gp today again and she is going to wean me off of the Lyrica and start me on Elavil which used to be used as a depressant but is now used for pain or sleep issues. She may then try me on Cesamet later which is a THC derivative med that they used to use for nausea but now use mostly for pain.
