Hi i'm 21 years old overweight woman. I've been having a lump in my right armpit and it really hurts. The first time i found it was months ago and that time it burst and kinda gone but sometimes it would appear again in my armpit (but not on the same spot), sometimes in my left armpit. I've been using ichthyol cream and doesn't seem to make it all gone.
as for my breasts, I never felt any pain on my breast or find a lump.
should i be worried?

2 years back I has lump in my left armpit, and doctor said it's jst axillary tail of Spence and gave me evening primrose oil tablets.....initial one year,i Nvr had any pain.its just soft lump...from one year I'm suffering a lot wit grt discomfort in left arm for couple of days a mnth,nt alwys.and smetyms discomfort in lump also....and nw I'm 28 weeks pregnant n scared....the lump in soft n same size frm 2 yrs....
My 11 yr old son received 4 shots on Friday afternoon (Td/Tdap, Hep A, Varicella, Meningitis). After a shower 24 hours later he had a painful lump and swelling in his armpit. It is now just over 48 hours after getting the shot and it is not getting any better. I just want to check to see if this allergic reaction or pain and swelling is a common side effect of at least one of these shots. Because of the timing of the soreness my husband and I feel it is related but not sure if it needs a dr.

Hi im new to this, and im really worried, i found a lump in my armpit that hurts when i press it, i found it when i was nearly 6 months pregnant, i had an ultrasound scan on it and the doctor said that he thought it was just breast tissue that has develpoed under my armpit and that because i have no lumps in my breast i shouldnt worry and that it will more than likly go when im breast feeding or when ive given birth.
because breast pain isnt normally in ur armpit because the lymph nodes are usually only on the edge of the armpit and if it was a breast related problem that was giving u armpit pain then ur lymph nodes would probably be swollen. has ur actual breast been hurting? if it has regularly, then go back to the docs and say your still worried. but at ur age breasts may get more tender at certain times of the month etc, usually before periods. it may be muscular, certain sports can cause muscular pain.
Found a lump in armpit pea sized dosen't hurt. But right breast has been feeling tender should I be worried I am only 16.
The most prevalent cause of a lump in the armpit is infection. An infection can be localized to the armpit itself (perhaps a nick from shaving) or it can be more widespread.. you may also have a boil or abscess just under the skin.
If it's a swollen lymph node,this could be caused by an infection somewhere in the body.
It is more likely that you are just having some pain in your armpit and breast area from fluctuating hormones from monthly cycles. It is very common for women to get pain in this area one week before, during, and sometimes even a week after their periods because of the extreme changes in homromes. Sometimes, a hormonal balance can be made by taking birth control pills.
The lump definately needs to be checked out. Go to your general dr. explain your family history and your worries.
A little over a month ago, a lump started growing in my left armpit. It was hot, tender, painful, and eventually about the width of a quarter. About a week later, it started decreasing in size, until it shrunk to about the size of a dime. By then it was no longer hot or painful, barely noticeable. Then at about 3 weeks it began growing again, not painful, but noticeably larger. After a few days, it started shrinking again. As of right now, it is currently increasing in size, but not extremely.
I gave birth to my daughter 2 months ago and I stopped breastfeeding a month ago. I felt a lump in my right breast after a sudden rash all over my upper torso and fever like symptoms 2 weeks ago. I went to the er, no explanation for the rash and was sent to have an ultrasound done on my right breast where I felt the lump. I also told them about my bump in my armpit. They felt it and said it was a swollen lymph node and dismissed it.
So ive just noticed a lump in my right armpit. I know it can be glands etc and nothing to worry about. But people have told me it shouldnt hurt and it is. Not extremely painful but enough to irritate me and remember its there. You can also notice it by just looking. I will be making a doctors appointment for at the end of the week but just wanna know if I should worry or not.
I have a lump in my armpit and I don't really know what it is or where is came from. I went to my doctor and he said that it was just a lump and it would go away in a few days. That was 3 weeks ago. It is still here. I don't know what to do but I hope you people can help me out just a bit.

I woke up last week with a very painful, golf ball sized lump in my armpit. I went straight to the doctor and he said it isnt a lymph node, and he cut into it to test for staph. the staph test came back negative and he packed it full of gauze for 2 days. When i went back to have the guaze removed, it was still huge and painful, so he sent me to the hospital for an ultrasound.
Thank you for replying. The armpit area that has the lump in it is on my left side. The left side of my body has been giving me problems since about Thanksgiving. I get lots of dull aches and cramps in my arm, shoulder, ribs, back, neck an even my left jaw and left side of my head. It often runs down the back of my leg too. The lump made me immediately think of breast cancer but now I am wondering if all these pains are not common with breast cancer, then perhaps that not it.
