I started the birth control le loestrin fe at the beginning of August (but I didn't wait until after my period came to begin taking the pills) I haven't had my period in those last four months. I had some weird symptoms like nausea and breast tenderness and discharge from late September to late October but not so much anymore. Is it normal to miss your period for that long after starting birth control or specifically lo loestrin fe?
if you've been taking the same kind of birth control for a longer period of time, sometimes you won't bleed for a month. Depending on how old you are, your hormones might be skyrocketed and no withdrawal bleeding will occur when this happens. Also, stressing out about it or being stressed in general can cause you to have light to literally no period. I was on Loestrin for 1 1/2 years and I didn't get a period for 3 months one time.
I had my period September 21..and recently changed to Junel 3 months ago. I did not have a period in October and have taken several pregnancy tests. Then this past week when i was supposed to have my november period, i only had some brown discharge and its not consistent..just at some point everyday. I have not taken a pregnancy test since this has occurred. Not sure if im pregnant or not, because i know you can somewhat "psych" yourself out.
I started Lo Loestrin Fe oral birth control pill on January 14, 2014 after being off of it since Thanksgiving of 2013. Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. I switched to Microgestin and that made me so sick I stopped, and then restarted Lo Loestrin Fe.
I have taken it everyday and have never missed a pill.
Thanks! I'm really trying to get this breakthrough bleeding under control, as it is very annoying. I feel like I can't live a normal life...that is why I went on the pill. The loestrin was great for my period (just spotting), but I would spot from day 14 on! I will start FemCon when I finish this pack. Thanks for your thoughts!
Hi! I'm traveling across the country to see my boyfriend this weekend, after not having seen him for two whole months. We're in a long distance relationship and we usually only get to see each other once a month for a few days at a time. Needless to say, this is a really special occasion for us! Im six days late for my period. Im on the birth control LoEstrin and my boyfriend and I use condoms so I didnt think I was pregnant. I took a test two days ago to be sure and it came out negative. Is there another reason that Im so late? Is it okay to be this late even on birth control? Could I actually be pregnant and the test was just a false negative?
I was prescribed Loestrin 20 two months ago after asking for a 'weaker' pill. The first month was pretty bad with immediate mood swings, fatigue and swollen breasts. The bleeding kept going through the whole month and stopped when my period was due! Has anyone ever switched from Loestrin 24 to Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo? Anybody ever gotten pregnant while on the "lo estrogen" pills? I switched from Loestrin to Ortho because I started not having periods AT ALL on the Loestrin and I had CRAZY PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS. I got a blood test but it was negative. Now I am on Ortho and am a little nervous because I've heard and read that some people have gotten pregnant on this pill. Any advice????

The first month that I was on Lo Loestrin I got my period, very short and very light for about 2-3 days. This month I delayed my period by a week because I was going on vacation. So when it got to the placebo pill I just took a week of "active pills" from another pack. However, I just finished my placebo pills (inactive pills) for the month and I have not gotten my period.
Ok so I wasn't sure where to ask this or where to even begin to research this question. I've been on loestrin fe for i'd say the last 2 1/2 years. As of Oct. 9th, I stopped taking my birth control completely. Soo here is my question, how am I supposed to know when i'm suppose to get my period now? Should I get it around the same time of the month that I use to take the inactive pills?
Hello I started Loestrin 24Fe on March 9, 2008 the Sunday after my period started, but since I have not had a menstrual cycle and I am freaking out! I hear all of this stories regarding blood clogs in your brain because of no menstrual cycles with the pills, is this true?? I've also noticed that my sexual drive has decreased a bit and I've been a bit moody but not as bad as other's I guess!! I am also getting a lot of headaches....
