I have never missed a pill, but I guess I could just be being paranoid. Loestrin gives me VERY VERY light periods anyway, and I've heard that even skipping a period on Loestrin is normal. I have taken my first inactive pill today so I guess I just need to wait it out instead of jumping the gun with paranoia. Thanks so much for your reply!
I've been on my bc (loestrin fe) for about 7 months now. I've never missed a pill but occasionally take it at a different time. Between 7:10 and 7:30. I know that that's alright but I go on and off with periods. Sometimes it starts with the white pills and sometimes the red and sometimes not at all. I also have bleeding during my second week for about 3 days. Is this normal? Could I be pregnant? Should I be worried?
I missed 1 pill last week (2nd week of the pack) and I did take 2 the next day however I've been having darn brown/red ever since. Today is the 8th day. I am worried. Is this ever going to end someday? Should I finish the current pack and continue the next pack? I am taking ultra-low dose BCP. Lo Loestrin.
Hi! Loestrin is a very low dose pill, and sometimes after you have been on it for awhile, the lining of the uterus gets very thin and bleeding becomes irregular.
OR this could be a one time only thing, especially if you missed a pill or took one late.
I would tell my patient to wait and see and if it happens regularly, you may need to swtich pills for awhile.

I am on Loestrin also. Assuming it is the same one, which is the 24 day pill (so only 4 days of the "period" part of the pill). I missed my period also. According to the doctor that is normal with this type of pill. I don't like it, it worries me too much. I was cramping a lot so he had me stop the pill 2 days early. I ended up finally getting my period and it only lasted for 2 days. So like I said, this is aparently normal when on Loestrin.
However, I just finished my placebo pills (inactive pills) for the month and I have not gotten my period. I only missed one pill, but took it the next day as soon as I remembered and I did not have sex that day or the next. Also, my boyfriend and I do not use condoms but he always pulls out. I took a pregnancy test and it is negative. Is there a chance that I could be pregnant??? Could this just be the result of me delaying my period for a week??
Everything I read said the pill is very effective if taken correctly and no pills are missed or skipped. I havent skipped any, but since I took 3 extra pills, this is technically not taking the pills "correctly" either. I've been very bloated and have been having terrible back aches since the sex. Could I be pregnant?
In your first post you said you were 2 hours late with your pill. That's okay. You have a certain window in which to take it which I think is 12 hours for a combined pill (of which loestrin is).
But in your next post you said you missed a pill. If it's just the one white pill then that's okay. If you've missed two in week 1 or 2 then you may have a problem but hopefully not.
It's likely what you've had is breakthrough bleeding, especially with the missed/late pills.
s crazy that BCP fails some people even faithful, on-time, pill takers. I was not good at taking Loestrin on time sometimes but I doubled up to make up for missed doses. So far with this pill I've had LOTS OF CRAMPING and POOPING. (TMI) I just hope I don't have crazy side effects like I did with Loestrin 24 (made me feel pregnant EVERY month).

Hi, I am on Loestrin 20 pill and 5 days ago I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. And 4 days later I forgot one pill and then the next night I was 5 hours late taking the next one, so I took the 2 together. But ive been hearing if you forget 2 pills your supposed to take them when you remember and the take another 2 the next day... but I am unsure if I am considered to have missed 2 pills cos I really only missed one cos the second one was just a few hours late??

It is written that lo loestrin fe is protecting you from the first day if u are starting on the first day of your period. Thats how i did. But why is my period not coming?
I was on Lo Loestrin Fe for 10 months, and had to stop for 6 weeks because I had surgery and was required to take blood thinners. I got back on my birth control, and ended up not having a period at all. Usually I have light bleeding for 2 days on my pills, and I'm concerned I could be pregnant. My partner and I used condoms while I was off the pill, but I know accidents happen.
Has anyone ever switched from Loestrin 24 to Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo? Anybody ever gotten pregnant while on the "lo estrogen" pills? I switched from Loestrin to Ortho because I started not having periods AT ALL on the Loestrin and I had CRAZY PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS. I got a blood test but it was negative. Now I am on Ortho and am a little nervous because I've heard and read that some people have gotten pregnant on this pill. Any advice????
