Avatar f tn If the wrinkles persist then botox injections and collagen filling or laser treatment may have to be tried. For this I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar n tn I also have shown some irritation to products with petrolatum. Neosporin daily lip treatment, Palmers lip balm, Aquaphor, and Blistex lip renewal seem to help but don't completely alleviate the symptoms. Neosporin night treatment, carmex, vasoline, chapstick, burts bees, other blistex have all made the symptoms worse! With all of those products I have experienced the red swollen, peeling lips. Please keep posting anything that you've tried that helps!

Avatar f tn Hello, Unfortunately you have got depigmentation and sunken scars after cautery which are side effects of this procedure. There is no topical treatment for this and I would suggest collagen or hyaluronic filling or laser resurfacing. Please discuss these treatment options with your cosmetologist. I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts.
Avatar n tn There are a multitude of techniques for treatment of upper lip lines. Each has advantages and problems associated with the particular technique used. These range from injection of fillers (hyaluronic acids or collagen) to laser resurfacing to dermabrasion to chemical peels. Fillers work immediately but have limited duration. Laser resurfacing and dermabrasion may result in limited improvement depending on the depth and severity of the lines.
Avatar n tn My question concerns receiving a non-invasive laser treatment while on accutane. I have sent questions regarding atrophy from intralesional cortisone injections. My last experience resulted in an 1/2 inch indented line that is 3/8 inch wide. I have decided never to get cortisone again. I can not imagine looking at an indent for five months. My doctor suggested that he could run the Cynosure PhotoGenica V Pulsed Dye Laser over that area to stimulate collagen production.
Avatar f tn My difficulty in getting a straight answer from these doctors, who have in so far as yet recommended sun block and over the counter hydroquinone, has prevented me from getting treatment for this weird wrinkling. What is this wrinkling? Is it collagen loss? Is it fibrous tissue that replaced collagen that has attached itself to underlying muscle? What could cause pitting and what could cause pitting to turn into wrinkles? Can you give me a medical description of what happened to my skin?
Avatar n tn If the indented scar is fairly shallow, then dermabrasion or an ablative laser treatment might reduce the edges of the crater to produce less shadowing. Attempting to fill the area with collagen or a hyaluronic acid filler (Restylane or Juvederm) might help a little, but would require repeated injections. To completely eliminate the depression, assuming the scar is small enough, then complete surgical resection of the depressed area would be appropriate.
Avatar f tn I am uncertain whether all women may want to consider that as treatment, but that is what I'm using now. Topicals and stuff don't work, since it is a hormonal issue, they will keep coming back unless I have the medication. As for guys, I'm not sure what the problem may be. You may want to visit your doctor and mention cystic acne as a possibility.
Avatar m tn Prior research indicates that it has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-tumor properties. Hepatic stellate cells produce extracellular matrix proteins such as collagen that are responsible for liver fibrosis.
Avatar n tn They have come and gone over the years. I would like to find a treatment but don't have the time to go on a wild goose chase with doctors. If any of you have found a way to treat this, please respond!
Avatar n tn I have been seeing an Endocrinologist since that time and am not secure in his diagnosis or his treatment. I have had 4 neck surgeries: 2 cervical fusions, and 2 cervical foramanotomy's (one on each side). About 1 month prior to the initial flare up I had started drinking C2 (The first time I've ever had any type of diet drink). I am a voicewriter by profession, which means I repeat everything I hear into a recording device.
211940 tn?1267884866 Said I have insignificant arthritis and need to see an orthopedic doc for injections. I hate being just blown off like that! What about the pain in my elbows, wrists and shoulder blades? It has been suggested to me by my PT and several others that the root of all the problem may be my neck. I carry all my stress in my neck and since I have to do a lot of lifting (disabled child) it makes my neck hurt too.
