Avatar m tn I am 20 years old and i have big lower lip.Even my upper lip is a little bit big and is there any possibility that my lips can be augmented without any side effects?
Avatar n tn He just had to get a shot last week b/c he had sores all over his belly from biting and scratching. Now he has a fat bottom lip. He had the same thing in February, got a shot and it went away. I read that fish based foods can cause allergies. He only eats chicken flavored food but I had just given him a salmon flavored treat a day or so before the lip flare up. Anyway, I know that the vet will not want to give him another steroid shot so soon after the other one.
11538743 tn?1419151329 Veterinary supervision is required because this is considered a pre-cancerous condition, and Early vigorous treatment is required. Sometimes this is an indication of a compromised immune system and your cat should be tested for the Leukemia virus. Don't worry though this is not a definitive sign of the virus , but to be safe the test should be preformed. The Depro Injections are long lasting and are given at two week interval, usually three courses are needed.
Avatar m tn Hello, For lip lines, Options such as a prescription vitamin A cream (such as Retin-A) have been shown to improve the appearance of fine lines around the lips. Other treatment options include miscrodermabriasion, botox injections and laser resurfacing. For those willing to receive injections, deep lip lines are best treated with a substance known as a filler.
Avatar n tn I am 44 yrs young and don't have any wrinkles on my face except under my bottom lip. I dn't smoke and find it strange that I have them in the area only. What can I do to plump up that area to get rid of these wrinkes. Can't afford injections of botox or collegan. Any suggestions of things that would actual work?
Avatar m tn Hello, Without examination,it is difficult to confirm a diagnosis, but from your description it looks like a mucocele or a small hematoma under the skin. Treatment includes corticosteroid injections and surgical removal by scalpel or laser which are done by a dermatologist. It then has to be differentiated from other mucocutaneous lesions also. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn I also have shown some irritation to products with petrolatum. Neosporin daily lip treatment, Palmers lip balm, Aquaphor, and Blistex lip renewal seem to help but don't completely alleviate the symptoms. Neosporin night treatment, carmex, vasoline, chapstick, burts bees, other blistex have all made the symptoms worse! With all of those products I have experienced the red swollen, peeling lips. Please keep posting anything that you've tried that helps!
Avatar f tn If the wrinkles persist then botox injections and collagen filling or laser treatment may have to be tried. For this I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar f tn I would urge you to consider all of the consequences of stopping treatment now and, if at all possible, try to finish treatment. I know treatment is very difficult, but End Stage Liver Disease is far, far worse. If you develop End Stage Liver Disease, not only will you be extremely ill physically, you also won't be able to work or live a normal life.
Avatar n tn On a recent trip home (I live quite far away and only get home every couple years or so) I noticed her upper lip is completely swollen and covered in what looks like tumors of some sort. My parents haven't had the money to take her to a vet so they have been simply keeping them clean and taking care of her as best they could. She's very old, going on 13, but has been an indoor animal her life. She still eats and is perfectly healthy and happy, but I'm worried about her health.
Avatar m tn A few years ago I was swimming in a crowded pool and got elbowed in the face, which caused one of my teeth to puncture my lip. Ever since, I have this condensed ball in my lip that sort of has a white stripe. I recently got fed up with it, and was wondering if there is a way to get rid of it?
547836 tn?1302836432 all kinds of things are happening nearing the end of tx, i've got 9 more weeks to go after 39 injections of Pegasys so far. just 4 days ago, i was eating some cereal and a flake cut between my gum and tooth in the back of my mouth, it hurt for about 3 days and stopped hurting today, didn't want to take any antibiotics bc those give me terrible diarrhea, so i thought i'd skip if i could bc i'm already having enough bloating troubles.
1853014 tn?1340042175 Started treatment yesterday. Took my first 2 pills that morning (Riba); Dried out my mouth and sinus pretty bad and upset stomache. Drank water after water and got some nostril spray to moisturize my nose. Alittle after 6pm took my shot without a hitch. Took my other 2 pills a little after 7pm. By 10:30pm getting tired so went to bed. Around 11:30pm woke up with flu like symptons. Felt like crap all night but the symptons finally went away just after 9am. Started 2nd day of meds.
1323976 tn?1279581232 so besides feeling like my whole word has been turned upside down ( obviously the break up was not what I wanted) now I'm debating even starting treatment at all, or at least until I get some sort of stable house hold again, whatever that means. Actually my guidance counselor agrees that I should start until i get a few things in order and break this miserable depression.
Avatar f tn I am a 64 year old woman, a stroke victim & have had sinus surgery to correct a diviated septum about 2 years ago. Prior to my surgery I told my dentist that I discovered that I had a few pinholes on the roof of my palate & felt that my sinuses were draining from there, because on awakening in the morning, my mouth would be full of mucus discharge. So I went to an ENT, had the surgery.
Avatar m tn when it sweats and when she is wiping out the sweat on her upper lip,The entire area(upper lip) is becoming black. but it is getting disappeared automatically after an hour or more than that. This is happening only when it is sweating. She does the same when she is coming from bath, but nothing is happening in that area. Why is this happening? is this curable? Does it have any treatement? 748543 tn?1463449675 For the past few weeks I have been throwing around ideas as to the best way to respond to this matter. You see a recent article ( Feb.3 , 2009 NY times) titled "Best treatment for TMJ May be Nothing" nearly made me clench my jaw to pieces. While well written, I found that the author, Ms. Brody, relied heavily on out dated and narrow perspective supplied to her by a small group of dentists.
Avatar f tn Then the next morning they had small white dots all over the top lip to where they looked white but not overly noticeable unless I lifted my lip and saw the line where the white stopped and the red inside of my upper lip showed. In other words my husband would not have noticed this unless i pointed it all out to him. But of course I notice it since it is accompanied with the tingleing numb sensations.
Avatar m tn The neurologist treated me for the condition with Botox injections around the affected eye, While the treatment did little to help the condition it did leave me with a droopy upper lip below the affected eye. It has been nearly five months since the treatment and the drooping lip still persists to the point where if I am not careful I will bite myself. Should I be concerned or will the lip problem eventually go away.
Avatar f tn You’re probably experiencing pre-treatment jitters. Most of us in here have undergone treatment; while it’s not exactly fun, most of us find it doable. Try not to be frightened; although it’s normal to feel this way, you’ll probably find that this (the waiting) is the worst part! Others will join in with their experiences; I treated for a total of 152 weeks with minimal side effects; hopefully, you’ll do fine.
Avatar f tn You should talk to your Dr about extending out your treatment longer maybe if your progress isn't rapid enough...I'm on your same same treatment but I have type 2. I don't have too many side effects.I feel feverish and aches in my thighs every other day or so,but nothing tylenol doesn't help (strictly limited to 2 extra strength for a 12 hour peroid). I only do injections in my stomach and it stays red and itchy. I have a strange effect of dry flakey skin on and in my ears.
Avatar m tn I'm paying $1400 out of pocket for the treatment and am debating whether to have another two injections. Thank you.
Avatar f tn Hello, Hypertrophic scars are red bump like scars but do not grow beyond the boundaries of the original wound and they often improve in appearance after a few years. Treatment options include silicon gel sheeting, steroid injections, dermabrasion, collagen injections and laser resurfacing. You can discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist.
Avatar n tn I had juvederm injections 2 months ago in vertical lines from lip to nose and also my lips. Bruising was extremely bad and now I have quite a few spots of bluish discoloration between my nose and lips. Have you ever heard of this discoloration being permanent?
Avatar f tn The doctor didn't know what he was doing and I ended up with a top lip that looks like a duck bill. Is there any way I can get this stuff out of my lip and return it to the way is was? If so, about how much would that cost and would it be worth it?
Avatar m tn More pronounced though on the bottom lip. These infections have since passed but it seems now like my bottom lip is maintaining a slightly more swollen and saggy look to it. It has seemed to have lost its base structure and elasticity. The top lip also seems to have lost a bit of structure.
Avatar m tn The only non-surgical treatment would be steroid injections, but I would not recommend it for this area. If the lump does not resolve on its own in another four to six months, then I would consider re-excision.
Avatar f tn I had an angioma (red spot) removed from above my upper lip. They used a needle to cauterize the spot which was supposed to make it go away. It took a number of injections over several visits before the redness seemed to respond and fade a bit. But in it's place, I now have a triangular shaped divet about the size of the head of a pin where the skin is missing and no longer flush with the rest of my skin above my top lip.
Avatar n tn Nonetheless, I am very interested in considering the botox injections. What is the history and effectiveness, side effects of injections for this condition? Thank you, I want relief from these tics. They are exhausting.
