4592444 tn?1362029703 I've never heard if lidocaine here do you get it?
1080181 tn?1425394866 It was the only thing that would work for me. You could try baby wipes with aloe in it but I felt that aloe made my skin too dry and felt like it was just ripping. Good luck mama hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Also, you really need to avoid getting burns like this in the future because they deplete the fluid from the area causing you to age prematurely, scar, and can cause you to get skin cancer as well. I know because I've been there, done that and wished I'd listened to my worry wart mom. I Hope This Helps!
Avatar f tn The itching by this point has subsided. So I started applying aloe gel with. 5% lidocaine. This is a miracle as it numbs very nicely. It is now day 7 and I have even more raw spots, and it now really hurts to pee. Like after giving birth. I am 36 yrs old 3 children 15-18 yrs old. I have experienced yeast infections previosly. Also by late in day 3 I had peeling of the exterior vulva skin. On day 2 the itchy was unbearable and I was dumb and tried a home remedy I read all over online.
Avatar f tn Is aloe vera gel with lidocaine oki to put on? If not does anyone have any remedies? I didnt think walking around the boardwalk in a tank top without sunscreen would burn me because i normally turn brown not red.
Avatar f tn s NP also prescribed a lidocaine ointment to reduce pain in that area. Good luck. Let us know what works.
Avatar f tn About 5 days ago I fell asleep on the beach for almost 4 hours. I am very fare skinned and I know this was VERY stupid. But now I need treatment advice. As you can imagine, I got incredibly sunburned. About 5 hours after sun exposure, I started to get light headed and nauseous. I fainted and then could not stand up without throwing up. The next few days I could not stand without severe pain in my legs (extremely sharp pains in my shins).
Avatar n tn ve read up on it an it appears to be a very minor procedure that can be done in the office with just some lidocaine gel. My Dr is a wonderful surgeon, but he likes General Anesthesia for EVERYTHING no matter how minor a procedure which drives me crazy. I'd prefer to be awake, I hate being sedated and have had some terrible reactions to the drug Versed...so bad that it's left me partially disabled with PTSD. I list it as an allergy on everything.
199882 tn?1310184542 We in Canada have a product called Banana Boat Soothe-a-Caine and it contains Lidocaine and is a spray which saves you having to spread it on! It works wonders for me as I get a burn every year with my fishing as does my hubby. If you can find it Carol, it is highly worth it cause you won't peel and the pain just disappears! Good luck and if I could I would send you some of mine honey!
Avatar n tn I Have applied the steroid cream Triamicinalone Acetone and Aloe jells with lidocaine, but lately I notice it breaks out much more when I get overly hot and sweat. I am not for sure what is causing this reaction, but the doctors don't seem to want to help. They just keep giving me the same creams over and over. Obviously it is not helping. I am low income and really don't know where else to turn for help.........
Avatar n tn I got a pretty bad sunburn on the 3rd of June. It cleared up with a little peeling on my shoulder (where the sunburn was the most severe). About a day after the peeling on my shoulder stopped (I'd say that was the 9th), I got a rash. I then noticed it was everywhere I had been sunburned or exposed to the sun, but not anywhere that my bathing suit was covering. The rash is terribly itchy and it's very small flesh colored bumps.
Avatar f tn ve never heard of that kind of aloe Vera lol. I always use it on my skin after a day in the sun.
Avatar n tn There isn't alot they can give you, antibiotics will make you break out in a rash (like it did me today). All you can really take is medicine to ease the symptoms, like tylenol for the fever and aches. They gave me lidocaine, it's a thick almost aloe vera like substance that you swish and swallow that pretty much just numbs your throat and mouth. The most important part is sleep, you need a lot of rest.....
Avatar f tn For nearly two years I have had experienced severe to chronic pain in my right eye. Over the past two years, I have seen 4 doctors, including opthamologists, optometrists, and I am currently seeing a neuro-ophthalmologist. I have had a multitude of tests including 2 MRI's. Recently I have been experiencing floaters when I have the pain. The pain is becoming more frequent and more severe. At times I also experience a sharp line of pain straight through my brain.
Avatar f tn I had a follow-up PM appointment today. I haven't seen her in a couple of months. We stopped my Cymbalta about a month ago and it made a HUGE difference in how I feel mentally and emotionally. Apparently that wasn't the drug for me, and it makes no difference in my pain, which was the point of going on it to begin with. I had a terrible fibromyalgia flare-up before Thanksgiving. The worst in a long time. To the point I had to crawl up the stairs and go down on my bum.
Avatar f tn So, as soon as I went in the morning, I made a decision from assessing the consistency of the stool, whether to take Loperimide or not. I took enough Loperimide to keep it firm (never more than recommended). I learned not to wait for the diarrhea to start or for very loose stools to start. Diarrhea is a recipe for 2-3 days of internal pain (shards of glass passing). If this is the same type of pain I had, I know it is internal.
Avatar m tn only 1/4 inch came out so a good 1/2 inch is still in there i can see it thru the nail. I attempted to cut and split the nail with razor blade but once i got part way thru nail it hurt bad. my co-worker gave me a new 10ml bottle of lidocaine, he uses it to give himself stitches. advice as to where to put the needle (i got from cvs insulin 31g-8mm),what to expect ie: will it burn- how long b4 its numb, and if i split the nail will it grow back? any advice will help..
1571533 tn?1322943509 Hey. I went to my PCP yesterday and he gave me a LIDODERM, a lidocaine patch, to try and help with the pain in my neck -he thinks if that calms down so will the migraines.. theyve been everyday constantly for well over a month and a half, and no meds help.. nor do therapeutic methods i have here at home.. Has anyone here used it before? And did it help? I tried to use it last night but it wouldnt stick to my neck.
Avatar f tn My daughter now 17.5 has been in severe pain for 4 years (as of 8/18). One day we were playing tennis, next day could not get out of bed and since has not been able to walk at all. They cannot see what's wrong on MRI, long story there, but now in MA the docs are going to give her lidocaine infusions and started her on nortriptyline 10 mg with increasing doses.
Avatar n tn Re: Lidocaine Enemas. I am warning everyone to be careful. My brother just died 3/31/12 from a lidocaine enema. He was only 28. (Lidocaine Intoxication) Lidocaine in liquid form. I don't want anyone elses loved ones to die like this. I hope everyone will be careful when dealing w/lidocaine. it is a dangerous substance when not used properly.
Avatar f tn Get a good stretch mark cream and aloe! Hang in there momma!
Avatar m tn Getting lidocaine for wisdom tooth extraction--felt the needle going in and woke up 45 minutes later in ER. I had had a seizure! Hundreds of shots for teeth over the years, never any such experience. Surgeon swore he found no blood in syringe and couldn't understand why I seized. Swore he did everything right, never heard of lidocaine causing a seizure this way. Apologized profusely. I'm now worried about completing the extraction, which has to be done.
