1080181 tn?1425394866 Go to the pharmacist and ask what they recommend...there are some really good remedies and most of them are pregnancy safe. General info on sun exposure during pregnancy: Avoid sunburn during pregnancy like you avoid alcohol!!! I'm not kidding! I'm not ragging on you, what's done is done, but I want everyone who comes across this to know that sunburn can and frequently does cause contractions. It can even send you into early labor. Sunburn is trauma, just like any other injury.

Avatar n tn I got a pretty bad sunburn on the 3rd of June. It cleared up with a little peeling on my shoulder (where the sunburn was the most severe). About a day after the peeling on my shoulder stopped (I'd say that was the 9th), I got a rash. I then noticed it was everywhere I had been sunburned or exposed to the sun, but not anywhere that my bathing suit was covering. The rash is terribly itchy and it's very small flesh colored bumps.
Avatar f tn I am hardly able to walk or stand without pain and can barely stretch my legs due to the skin tightness. I have used aloe with methanol, over the counter burn cream and 100% aloe. I also have been taking cold showers and trying to drink a little more water. It is only the second day after my sunburn. Is there a different treatment I can use.
Avatar f tn Is aloe vera gel with lidocaine oki to put on? If not does anyone have any remedies? I didnt think walking around the boardwalk in a tank top without sunscreen would burn me because i normally turn brown not red.
Avatar f tn I like using aloe vera lotion, it.keeps you from.
Avatar n tn Sounds like you have a severe burn. Is the aloe 100% pre aloe? It makes a difference. Also, take ibuprofen for the pain and drink lots of orange juice and use a good lotion. You probably should habe seen a doctor. A sunburn is just as bad as any other burn. Feel better.
Avatar f tn So I haven't ever gotten a sunburn in my life. But today, I was out in the sun for 10 hours in 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees in Fahrenheit). The skin on feet is red and so is the skin just below my knee. But only my left foot stings. I don't know if this is a sunburn but if it is, I was wondering how to treat it.
199882 tn?1310184542 If you have any vitamin E kicking around or better yet some aloe vera, they are the best for sunburn and will take the burn out fairly quick. If you use aloe vera though make sure you use some moisturizing lotion after as it will dry the skin somewhat. You shouldn't peel much after either using either one of them. I hope you feel better soon.

5059723 tn?1370474420 Yes you should be OK. And so should baby. loe can irritate some people. But they vinegar works! You'll smell like a pickle for a minor two lol.
Avatar f tn Tylenol helps. And aloe vera lotion/gel.
Avatar f tn t pop the blisters yourself, let them pop on their own. When they open you are at higher risk for infection. Keep with aloe and cool compresses. Feeling chilled is normal with sunburn but if you are concerned with fever check your temp.
Avatar f tn Is milk of magnesium face to apply to sunburn?
Avatar m tn ve tried cold and hot showers, aloe Vera, wet washcloths, baths, every remedy i could find for a sunburn and all of them just agitated it more. i cant hold still for more than 3 seconds and it is driving me absolutely insane, i have broken many bones in my past and i would gladly break them again to get some medication for this pain. so what exactly is going on with my sunburn and what can i do to fix it? this is my last resort before i go to the hospital.
Avatar f tn I had a bad sunburn on my legs and they swelled up. I went to the doctor and he said I had sun poisoning. I had to keep my legs elevated because my legs were so swollen they were cutting the circulation off to my feet. I suggest you go to your doctor or to Urgent Care to get your sunburn checked out.
Avatar f tn Blisters are bad. I grew and and live on an island. Wen my burns got bad we wld cut off a piece of aloe plant and rub the sap on the burn. If u don't have aloe, u should go to the drugstore and get some kind of sunburn cream; try to get one with aloe. If u can't go out get wash cloths and dampen then with cool water then put it gently over the burn. Whatever u do try not to pop them. Also, ur gonna itch like crazy in a day or two. B careful scratching.
Avatar f tn Aloe. Cut off a piece of the plant and either chill it and rub it on or just put it on.
Avatar n tn I applied cooling aloe vera gel with lidocaine for two days. However, it is extremely painful as the skin starts drying and when standing. On the third day I started applying lotion to hydrate my skin. Standing all day at work does not help either, so once I get home, I elevate my legs against the wall at a 90 degree angle to help relieve the swelling. It's been five days now, and the pain on the skin is subsiding. I have bought compression socks to help stop the swelling while at work.
916918 tn?1244091877 m not sure what it is, but to relieve the symptoms, your usual sunburn products would have a numbing effect... anything with lidocaine. Also, aloe relieves burning. Ice could also work wonders and would also take down swelling and stop the burning skin. I hope this helps.
Avatar n tn I also noticed some yellow stuff on my shirt where my sunburn was? I have been putting aloe on my sunburn, and also taking ibuprofen for the pain. But I've never been burned this bad, and I am not sure what I should do?
Avatar f tn automatically wanting to take a "pain pill" for a sunburn is addictive thinking.
Avatar n tn go to emerg! it sounds like you have more than 3rd degree burns especially if it's lasted for this long. I wouldn't doubt that you are still getting sunburn upon sunburn being out in the sun everyday, even if you are applying sunscreen. this requires medical help by now.
