I went back to the doctor and he gave me levofloxacin for tonsillitis but my throat is still sore on the 8th day on levofloxacin. In september i had a lung infection which i used levofloxacin for and i was coughing up greenish phlegm and it worked for that. I did smoke blunts for that time in september but I've stopped smoking weed for about a month now, and everytime i would smoke weed i would get itchy.
I now understand that levofloxacin can cure E. I thought it had to cure C or G, which would in turn cure my E. But it seems, though I'd like someone to confirm it if you have any knowledge, that levofloxacin directly cures E.

Epididymitis was cured by levofloxacin in 2 days but why and what caused my E in the first place?
Theory:
Maybe my scrotum skin was weak during sex and it got infected during the sex process, but not by any STD.

Around 4 months I had unprotected oral sex with a female. I'm a male and it was giving and receiving oral. I was test by PCR-DNA and Elisa around 7 weeks, then I did another Elisa at 12 1/2 weeks (88 days). I've been negative on all tests. My question is how accurate is the PCR-DNA test with an Elisa at 7 weeks?
It all started 5 months ago after receiving oral sex, from right next day I started having frquent urination and after one week of antibiotic (cipro and azithromycin) treatment all were normal. After three weeks I started having clear discharge and visited doctor few times and first doctor prescribed doxiciline for 15 days, second doctor prescribed Levofloxacin but nothing worked. It's been now five months and I am still suffering from clear discharge.
If you want to substitute Cipro for one of these other drugs Cipro is in the same drug class as Levofloxacin. Levofloxacin will have the similar side effect though. Strep group B is the problem allthough it depends on if the prostate sample was collected sterilily such as a biopsy. If so then the virudans strep could also be the problem and viridans strep are more resistant to antibiotics.

My main concern and cause of anxiety is could this have been caused by an STI? My only sexual encounter was 4 months previous in which I received unprotected oral sex. I had no symptoms until the epididymitis, or if I did there were so minor I did not notice. Is it likely that this epididymitis was caused by this oral encounter. I have read throat chlamydia is rare, and that transferring to a penis is even more unusual, but I still concerned this could be the cause.
So to start off this novel, I had brief mutual unprotected oral with another male 38 days ago. On day 8 after intercourse with my significant other I noticed irritation around my urethra and directly under the head of my penis where the foreskin joins. I and my husband received IV continous infusion Clindamycin treatment times 7 days and the followup testing showed we were both positive with clamydia. I still have pain in my right kidney that I usually have with chronic UTI. I am taking Cipro now for E. facelis but infection will not go away. It is too the point I don't want to have intercourse with my husband. Also did two months of oral macrobid and clarithomycin both I and my husband. Don't know what to do please advise.

Almost every std site and government info site says the m gen can be acquired though oral sex. However, if you read the scientific literature, it says that the have not been able to detect it in the throat of people. Most notably sex workers and men who have sex with men. I have also read on the expert forum on this website and in 2014 Dr Hunter Mansfiled has also said that oral transmission is not possible and has never been documented. Why would all the other websites say this.
Careful with Levofloxacin. Sometimes the side effects aren't worth the benefits. I took Levofloxacin to cure a bout of pneumonia. Sure enough, the infection cleared up, but my joints ached so bad I could not raise my arms to take a shower, put my clothes on, bend to tie my shoes, get in and out of a car quickly. Strength training and jogging was out of the question for a month.

I have had 3 sinus infections in the last 8 weeks. I'm on my third antibiotic (levofloxacin) and i'm still experiencing problems. Most of the problem is on my left side. I had a CT scan and it showed a deviated septum but the ENT was not too concerned. Any body else ever have sypmtons like these? The symptons get better when I'm on the meds but return again when I stop taking them. Headaches as well.

I've had a terrible headache that comes and goes, but has been burning throughout my face, top and sides of head for over a month and nausea for the past two weeks. I had unprotected oral and vaginal sex with a 24 year old female about 6 weeks ago. I noticed mild itching and irritation in my urithra 1 to 2 days after the encounter. I have since been tested 4 weeks after exposure with a 10 panel test all results were nagative. One week later I was tested for uti and kidney/bladder infection. This test was also negative. My symptoms are mild and have included irritation in my urithra and occasional instances of having to pee in the middle of the night.

He said there is a chance for me to acquire chlamydia, gu, other ngu and herpes. He gave me some antibiotics (Levofloxacin 250mg x 2 for 7 days) to take care of any potential UTI and told me to monitor my penis in the coming time (didn't say for how long) for any herpes symptoms.
I was kind of relieved after seeing your posts here. But since I have been told I am at risk it will be nice to get a second opinion from an expert.
