I think after 17 hours you would also be getting worse. Sepsis you would have Skin rash, low blood pressure, fever, rapid heart beat. So you don't sound like you have these things.
my 5 yr old daughter just got out of the hosp for meningitis........they could not give me a 100% answer but they are sure it was bacterial meningitis! no one told us how she got it, all they said was that i did the right thing by taking her to er asap! friday morning she told me her head hurt when she looked down and me being a nurse i thought meningitis but "what are the odds" so i took her to daycare and told them to call me if she got sick!
Have you been exposed to meningitis? I understand you are a college student, and meningitis can be more prevalent in close quarters such as when living in a dorm.
My honest thoughts are that you have a flu virus rather than meningitis, however, if you have been exposed to meningitis, you most definitely need to be checked. If you have been exposed to meningitis, by all means go to the ER and tell them you have been exposed and have been feeling somewhat sick.
You need to consult a physician though it is unlikely to be meningitis since it is not a live vaccine and cannot cause even a mild form of meningitis or septicemia. Hope this helps. Take care.

I now understand that levofloxacin can cure E. I thought it had to cure C or G, which would in turn cure my E. But it seems, though I'd like someone to confirm it if you have any knowledge, that levofloxacin directly cures E.

Epididymitis was cured by levofloxacin in 2 days but why and what caused my E in the first place?
Theory:
Maybe my scrotum skin was weak during sex and it got infected during the sex process, but not by any STD.
2 weeks after the last injection the microbioligal sample was negative, but DNA showed gardnerella vaginalis and I took 7 days Levofloxacin. Symptoms persist. I was tested for:
* Urine DNA Chlamydia test negative
* Urethral swab DNA for Trichomonas, ureaplasma and micoplasa - negative
