Careful with Levofloxacin. Sometimes the side effects aren't worth the benefits. I took Levofloxacin to cure a bout of pneumonia. Sure enough, the infection cleared up, but my joints ached so bad I could not raise my arms to take a shower, put my clothes on, bend to tie my shoes, get in and out of a car quickly. Strength training and jogging was out of the question for a month.
Is 500 mg of Levofloxacin every 48 hours suppose to make a 70 year old diabetic dialysis patient drowsy, fatigued, emotionally disturbed, and delirious?
Is it okay to stop the continuing dosage after seeing the affects of the first dose?
d like to ask the question in the title. I know that levaquin is for killing bacteria and that HIV is a virus. Yet, can levaquin indirectly prevent ars symptoms from showing up? I ask because I don't know if ars symptoms are directly related to the virus and seroconversion or if it's a byproduct of it.

Hi, probably this is sinusitis. Pressure or headache while bending is seen in sinusitis. Accumulation of mucus in sinuses behind cheeks, eyes etc.causes these kind of symptoms. Try steam inhalation, anti inflammatory drugs along with anti histaminics and antibiotics (amoxicillin, levofloxacin etc) for a week or so. Sinus drainage is also done but only after confirmation of diagnosis.

I now understand that levofloxacin can cure E. I thought it had to cure C or G, which would in turn cure my E. But it seems, though I'd like someone to confirm it if you have any knowledge, that levofloxacin directly cures E.

Epididymitis was cured by levofloxacin in 2 days but why and what caused my E in the first place?

Maybe my scrotum skin was weak during sex and it got infected during the sex process, but not by any STD.
my scrotum is not itchy, but i have some not so pleasant tingling , and a burning sensation , happened imediately afer i had sex . for 3 weeks i dont feel getting any better after i tried levofloxacin , applying Methylprednisolone aceponate gel , metronidazole, antifungal (containing nystatin , neomycin sulfate, triamcinolone acetonide) gel. my sack looks very loose.

I had the symptoms for 5 months with all urine and semen tests negative and left the infection untreated. Until 5 months when a urethral swab showed staphylococcus pneumoniae. I was given 3 injections of penicilin with long absorbation, but the symptoms persist. 2 weeks after the last injection the microbioligal sample was negative, but DNA showed gardnerella vaginalis and I took 7 days Levofloxacin. Symptoms persist.
On the 9th of July I woke up with redness in both eyes, feeling of grit and occasional watering (minimal to almost no discharge) and burning sensation during urination.
I went to see an urologist, who did not take any tests but directly prescribed me:-
1.Ceftrioxone 1g I.V. injection

So a new question here is, two days ago I started getting this weird, dull ache in my right testicle. It's a rather minimal ache when unprovoked, but when I gently squeeze it I get this dull ache which radiates to my right flank (normal).
The reactivity of 13 quinolones (levofloxacin, ofloxacin, pefloxacin, enoxacin, moxifloxacin, gatifloxacin, trovafloxacin, sparfloxacin, lomefloxacin, ciprofloxacin, clinafloxacin, norfloxacin, and nalidixic acid) was tested in 5 commercial opiate screening assays from September 1998 to March 1999. In 6 healthy volunteers, we confirmed the cross-reactivity of levofloxacin or ofloxacin with these opiate screening assays.
They gave me 4 pills to take all at once (azithromicin) i believe and 1 pill for gonorreha just in case. Symptoms did not go away. Got retested a month after, chlamydia tested positive again. They prescribed me Levofloxacin for 7 days, 1 pill a day, of which i took the last pill monday. Today we are wednesday. Now one of the symptoms i was having was a slight sticky clear discharge at the tip of my penis. This symptom was not present during the whole 7 days i took the levofloxacin.

I was infected by Mycoplasma genitalium 2 weeks ago by a woman in China, Guangzhou. In panic i took first 200mg Levofloxacin x 3 days. Then Azithromycin 500mg x1day then 250mg for 5 days, and also 200mg Minocycline x5 days mixed with the Azi.
Im now on the day after my last medication day, and i still feel a small burning feeling in my right thigh, near the blatter. It is not a stinging burning pain. Just a small burning. Not really a pain.
Last night I ordered food sent to my hotel room. I ate some, then put the leftovers -- covered in the plastic container -- in the refrigerator. This morning I ate them and then realized I'd used the same plastic fork that was left in the container last night, alongside the food. How worried should be I be about food poisoning? I went back to the doctor and he gave me levofloxacin for tonsillitis but my throat is still sore on the 8th day on levofloxacin. In september i had a lung infection which i used levofloxacin for and i was coughing up greenish phlegm and it worked for that. I did smoke blunts for that time in september but I've stopped smoking weed for about a month now, and everytime i would smoke weed i would get itchy.
This of course amped up my nerves and so I watched like a hawk for discharge over the next 4 days until I could get in to see the doctor. night sweats. My doctor diagnosed me with pneumonia and prescribed levofloxacin. Levofloxacin was taken from 02/24 to 03/02. I was supposed to be ovulating from 02/23 to 03/01, peak time being around the 28th. My period was due on 03/14 and it still has not arrived. I have taken two pregnancy tests which came out negative.
I haven't had sex since March of 2013 but my significant other and I messed around on 03/05 and I grinded naked along his private area where there was some pre-***.
