A week after doxy dosage I took a std test for gonorrhoea chlamydia and ureaplasma. All negative. I was worried about herpes all along and Borge the urologist and venrealogist said unlikely. I shave my pubic region and I got razor sores and some isolated growth on my thighs- not burning. The soreness in my penis goes away for days and then returns. Why were the medications which include azithromycin 1g OD, doxy 100 mg. for 5-7 days and levofloxacin 500 mg for 10 days failed to cure us? Thanks for all the support. God bless.

I’m not sexually active it started at my left testicle first antibiotic is levofloxacin for 10 days after that naproxen for 5 days thought I’m getting better then 2 days later pain and swelling went back. My doctor suggested me to a urologist but it’s been 3 weeks and never got a call. I went to emergency for another antibiotic refferal.
One week later I was tested for uti and kidney/bladder infection. This test was also negative. My symptoms are mild and have included irritation in my urithra and occasional instances of having to pee in the middle of the night. I was prescribed an antibiotic levofloxacin and have finished the course about three days ago. These symptoms still persist. Headaces with antibiotics?
I been on two types of antibiotics for 6 days now for my UTI. At 1st I was on Sulfameth/ Trimethoprim for 5 days and now I'm on Levoflaxacin. I been having headaces ever since I started them. I also been having this pain on my left side of my head. Can this be a side effect? I never get headaches. I'm very worried. I'll call dr tmrw.

I am uncircumcised, 28 year old and i had protected(2 condoms) vaginal sex for not more than 5 minutes with a prostitute 25 days back, but i did not cum inside - later i masturbated for 2 or 3 minutes without removing that condom. then I ejaculated and removed condom as carefully as i can.

I went back for a re-test on the last day of the doxycycline, but still came back positive for chlamydia. So currently I’m taking a 14 day prescription for Levofloxacin. I’m on my 6th day. Still no symptoms. No pain after urination, no discharge, and no testicular pain.
My questions are:
1.) Should I be concerned since this is my third antibiotic treatment for chlamydia?
2.) Am I able to drink coffee? I read on some sites that I shouldn’t drink coffee.

I was diagnosed with a UTI based on the micro results and given 1.0gm of Azithoromycin and 5 days of Levofloxacin (think this was 0.2gm 3 times a day)
Things seemed to improve but after about a week or so things seemed the same.
So then went to the local hospital and they repeated the Urinalysis

0 gram dose of azithromycin or doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for 7 days are recommended therapy for NGU. Levofloxacin will probably work however and is a good drug for prostatitis.
