After month of thinking i am clear of this ****, i was not and i again developed tyhpid when i started to have fever on and off again, i went for typhoid test it came back positive. The doctor wrote a stool culture and sensitivity test. CULTURE : Growth of salmonella spp. obtained after 24 hours of incubation at 37 degree c. Antimicrobial sensitivity.

Secondly i dont know how i got typhoid.. Anyways i got typhoid positive from two labs. and totaly negative from one.... even i gave my blood the same day before medication to all of them.. The third one which gave negative results, they used elisa for typhoid. please help me in this matter. thanks.

Hello, i have symptoms of fever, headache, body pain and last june 24, after two wks i was diagnose of typhoid fever, after a wk of medication and test its negatve and i start drinking alcohol, then i feel again the symptoms, i was admit to hospital and treated for iv antibiotics, all cbc are normal but i am positive for dengue igg. After 3 days i was discharge and continue oral antibiotic until now but i still suffering headache, low fever every afternoon, and nausea.

t stop there, I also experienced fever, shivering within, sweats in the afternoon, Diarrhoea, dryness of mouth, sour mouth. I went to a doctor, test for malaria and typhoid were carried and it read that i had typhoid fever. I was given injections for about 5days. Didn't experience those symptoms again, untill in June. They came back again. I started taking pain killers like ibuprofen, daclofenac and amoxyl(antibiotics) tablets to ease the pain. I also started coughing.

In summer 2009 i suffered from typhoid twice in 4 months the second attack of typhoid proved to be very expensive for me and probably i will remember it for my rest of life because it became the cause of my left varicocele surgery.

i noticed a lot of hair falling(during the 15 days tenure of typhoid).even though i did not have that much severe typhoid..i shaved off my head and now i find that the density of hair has reduced...at the back of my head i have some patches which are small and are like slots...whenever i apply oil to that portion or something watery falls on it i have mild itching..and this is the same area where i see bald patches..

Typhoid is rare in developed countries...just out of curiosity do you know how you contracted it? People with typhoid Are normally hospitalized...especially pregnant women. I don't mean to sound rude but my goodness what is your doctor thinking?! I also don't know where you live (not everyone on this site is from US). Guys, I'd been having an upset stomach for four or five days until I finally had full-blown diarrhea since yesterday. Today I called my doc and she called me in immediately for a stool sample and a blood test. They both turned out positive for typhoid and I'm 3 weeks along, almost. (Took a pregnancy test on 25th June and it was positive.) Anyway, my doc says I shouldn't be worried because it's a fairly common epidemic. Esp.

That is an excellent question, since both antibiotics are fluoroquinalones, the same class of drugs. It is not a good idea to take a "lot of these drugs". Tendon rupture and horrible aches and pains for months can result. People have different genetic tolerances. I can tolerate Cipro, for example, however Levofloxacin caused me terrible problems for almost eight months. Getting back to your question the answer is "probably", but not absolutely positively. .

Careful with Levofloxacin. Sometimes the side effects aren't worth the benefits. I took Levofloxacin to cure a bout of pneumonia. Sure enough, the infection cleared up, but my joints ached so bad I could not raise my arms to take a shower, put my clothes on, bend to tie my shoes, get in and out of a car quickly. Strength training and jogging was out of the question for a month.

2 weeks after the last injection the microbioligal sample was negative, but DNA showed gardnerella vaginalis and I took 7 days Levofloxacin. Symptoms persist. I tested for gonorrhea, chlamydia, and HIV and all tests have been negative and I do not have any discharge...just aching. Is Levofloxacin prescribed for NGU and epidimitis? I apologize for so many questions, but I've always been a healthy person so I'm pretty concerned. Also, with all my blood work being normal is it still possible to have an infection? Thanks!
