Hello, I am on Levaquin for a sinus infection and I just found out that my sexual partner had gonnorhea. And I was wondering if the Levaquin would take care of the gonnorhea if I had it.
Given 2g of Flagyl over 2 days (4 pills each day) and 30 days of Levaquin 500 mg. Was told I probably had no std and the Flagyl would kill potential NGU / Clamydia if present and Levaquin would take care of Gonorrhea. Other risks he said were not valid with no apparent viral sores on mouth of partner. Took the Flagyl and 4 days of Levaquin and resumed contact with normal monogomous partner.
I asked before if could have gotten std from a blowjob and it seems that gonorreah is the only std possible as it lives in the mouth. however, while i have been treated with bactrim and levaquin with no results, the cdc says these drugs are not effective with gonorrhea. isn't ceftriaxine the most effective and shouldnt i be treated with this?
second, could i have passed gonnorhea to my wife while on levaquin and on bactrim?
I came home that day washed very well and started drinking a lot of fluids. I ended up starting to take antibiotics as well. I had a prescription for Levaquin 500 mg pills. I have 20 days worth. Will that kill anything that I could have contracted?
In persons below age 35, the most common causes of epididymitis are chlamydia and, less commonly, gonorrhea. At your age, most cases are not due to any STD. Prostatitis is not due to any STD either.
Despite your age, you should have been tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia. Was that done? If so and the tests were negative, then you can be sure no STD is responsible for the epididymitis or other symptoms. If not tested, the treatments you had should work against the likely STDs.
Will Levaquin take care of NGU? I have 750 mg prescription from a doctor for sinus? How long would I have to take it? I also have 500 mg prescription of Clarithromycin as well.
I got symptoms that resemble chlamydia or gonorrhea (frequent urination, weird feelin in the tip of my penis) so I took levaquin 750mg tabs once a day for five days. Is that enough levaquin to knock out either of those stds? I'm still gettin the urge to urinate frequently and now I'm wondering could it be some kind of bladder infection? Panacing i took 1g of Zpack orally then got tested two days later I took another 1g pack. the results came back negetive. Still having the same feeling I took 500mg of Levaquin. Then I read that it was no longer recommended for GC so i took a 250mg shot of Ceftriaxone. Is this enough to kill Chlamydia and Gonorrhea? Is there a chance that the initial treatments for my girlfriend and I did not clear up the infection completely? Is Levaquin a treatment for these and would the extended course have cleared these up?
i never saw her touch her vagina. i want to know if i am at rist for any type of std from this activity? also, it is possible that the outside of the bottle of lotion can be infected from her massaging previos customers and then speading to me?
Should I go to a urologist now (instead of a general practitioner)? Is it likely I have an std? Should I ask that all of the std tests be performed on me? Should I ask for a shot of penicillen? Any help or suggestions would be very helpful. I'm very stressed and worried right now. I have been totally celibate for 10 years and I screwed up a couple of times recently. OH, doctor gave me a PSA test and it is normal.
