Avatar m tn After a couple of days I started feeling pain in my upper chest, shoulder, down my right arm and right underarm. The pain feels like a needle is jabbing me. Sometimes the pain will go away and somtimes it is very bad and lasts for weeks at a time. I also have some musle pain in these areas. Can you please help me figure out what to do about this.
793305 tn?1493925518 I would trust the pharmacist. I have had levaquin and synthroid and it has been fine. They have website that you can search the reaction of medications with each other. Just google it. Good luck!
Avatar f tn There is nothing much you can do for the pain, except take pain killers. Maybe you should discuss this with your doctor and see how best you can arrange an earlier treatment and diagnosis. Do let me know if there is any thing else you want to know and please keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar n tn m still experiencing full body tendonitis, joint pain, muscle pain and weakness, tingling and burning sensations, stabbing pains, and more. The insomnia went away after about 6 weeks for me. I am a 36 year old female, and was very active and physically fit. There are some great forums you can check out on Yahoo that will be helpful to you. All I can tell you is do not take any steroid that is prescribed to you, or it will make it worse.
168348 tn?1379357075 Just wondering bcz I am on the Levaquin 500mgs 1X day for 7 days for a pretty bad urinary tract infection / small stone that passed (kidney) and along with normal side effects like gas, and feeling some tired/dizzy which I usually get from Levaquin I keep getting chills and more tired than normal but it comes and goes and yet my clinical symptoms for the UTI/stone passing are cleared up I do not think the chills are related to the medical problem and really wondering if after 5 days my TSH is
798555 tn?1292787551 Yes, I have taken Cipro this past year more than any person should, but it was for documented --potentially life threatening -- UTI or kidney stone related infections including hydronephrosis. I stay away from any of the fluro's at all cost and beg for an alternative antibiotic because of the warning above. But some of my infections have been so serious there's the risk/benefit.
Avatar n tn I think that I have had a severe drug reaction and do you think the shooting pain is Levaquin related? I took Ibuprofen for the tendon pain for 2 years starting the day after I finished the Levaquin 3 years ago. Did this increase the nerve damage? I have no balance or muscular strength problems.
Avatar m tn Hello, I'm 23 male. I posted here a few days ago. http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Undiagnosed-Symptoms/Undiagnosed-Testicular-Pain---UTI/show/1754043#post_8050908 But it seems like the symptoms changed a bit, now I have lower abdomen pain (around 3 inches below the belly button, the pain is usually on the left side but sometimes on the right too). It is somewhat dull but it almost always is apparent.
Avatar f tn Next, I was bent over in pain and screaming because of stomach pain and hospitalized for both but results were un-conclusive other than constipation for the stomach which eventually went away. The following thanksgiving, I spiked again to an 103 fever and was so tired all day everyday. My head hurt extremely bad and I felt confused and disoriented. We figured most of this was a levaquin side effect, but according to my doctors it is not.
Avatar f tn I ahve had stones with terrible pain and stones with little or no pain.......that kind of pain was only maneable for me with morphine....so I don't envy you. I was only clearly diagnosed the first time because I pass them at the hospital and they were large enough to see....but I have also had them many times where I must have passed them without even noticing.
Avatar n tn Ok so i went to the doctors for because i had kidney pain and i my urethra itches constantly my tongue is a whitish color and i have dry mouth, at night i sweat alot in my sleep, my tests for gonorrhea and chlamydia came back negative i also have ahad headaches im worried any ideas what it could be?
Avatar f tn You need to write a letter and send it certified mail. Pain in the joints and elsewhere are common side effects of Levaquin. Most times this wears off (the good news), but there are instances of long-term damage from this particular antibiotic (that's the bad news). Statistics are on your side.
Avatar f tn -( My Lyme doc has refused to prescribe either matronidazole or Levaquin as he says they are too heavy on the liver and have to many potential side effects. Yet I keep reading they are great for treating bart as well as lyme. I wonder if I should insist a bit more and keep on at him. What do you think?
Avatar f tn One of my many side effects early on was severe lower back pain, flu-like symtoms that included sweats, achiness, joint pain, abdominal pain, rash on legs and a ton of other symptoms.. I only took it for 3 1/2 days, but paid for it for 5 wks after taking it. In my opinion it is a horrible drug. I could barely get out of bed during those 5wks the joint pain was so horrible. A website you could look at is http://briandeer.com/septrin/bactrim-pdr.
Avatar m tn Stopped taking Levaquin on Monday and is now Wednesay and pain is still unbelievable. Does anyone know how long the pain will last and is there any way to get the pain to go away sooner? My doctor said I should feel better in a couple of days.
Avatar m tn I was on levaquin a couple years ago, it made me very sick to my stomach and gave me some joint pain. I didn't realize until after I took it that it can damage tendons and I read it can also cause hernias. I would never take it again. That's just my opinion, I would also ask for something else.
Avatar f tn Hi, Usually, the signs and symptoms of kidney infection begin to clear up within a few days of treatment. Take the entire course of antibiotics recommended by your doctor to ensure that the infection is completely eradicated. Recurrent kidney infections may result from an underlying medical problem, such as a structural abnormality.
Avatar n tn The typical symptoms of prostatitis are fever, pelvic, testicle, or rectal pain, frequent and painful urination and ejaculation and incomplete emptying of bladder. In addition to the antibiotics, use medications to help relieve bothersome symptoms, such as alpha blockers to relieve urinary symptoms and anti-inflammatory medications for pain. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn My symptoms are pain/pressure in the perinium, burning after urinating and some redness/pain on end of penis when I have the burning, intermittent pain in right testicle, general dull intermittent pain in the pelvis low/back, dribbling after urinating and frequent/urgent need to urinate. Sometimes I have had pain in the testicles after ejaculation.
Avatar f tn I did find that taking 3 mg of boron a day (purchased at a health food store) inactivates the fluoride and got rid of the joint pain and burning in about a week. However to this day 4 years later the tightness in my leg remains. I worked with a trainer and my muscles are fine now. These drugs should be avoided at all cost!
Avatar n tn If you have been taking levaquin, do not have a urine chlamydia test. Levaquin cures chlamydia and would make the test negative, even if you were infected recently. At this point, there is no point in having any more chlamydia testing at all.
Avatar f tn The doctor I saw thought I may have a kidney stone or a ruptured ovarian cyst, and sent me home to rest with some pain medication. To make a long story short, after four ER visits, multiple visits to my PCM, a referral to a gastroenterologist and surgeon, I still have no answers. My pain is so severe yet sporadic that I cannot work, because I have had to leave so often due to the pain, going to the ER straight from work. Any sort of physical activity makes it worse, especially the back pain.
Avatar n tn I had an 11mm stone removed and it was located in my pelvic kidney. The stent giving me more pain then the stones. I had been to 6 urologist and finally was looking forward to not having pain. But this is the most pain I have ever had in my life. After 3 days I told the doctor I could not stand the pain not to even say days of urine over flowing diapers and pads and change clothes and sheets. The nurse in the outpatient asked the doctor to order a B & O supository.
Avatar f tn A few months ago I started to have pain in my left kidney. It came out of no where. I researched online and was 100% sure I had a kidney infection. I was tight on money so I got Cipro from a friend. On day five of the antibiotic I still felt ill. I went to the ER for same day tests. They said my urine was "contaminated" since I was already on antibiotics. They said to keep taking it and maybe slept wrong. I took it for seven days.
