Went to the doctors yesterday he did a ultrasound of the prostate and said it did not look inlarged but he said there was some stones in there but that is not a problem. As of right now he gave me more levaquin 500mg this time for 3 weeks. Oh I forgot to add I did get the painful swap in the penis, but after taking antibiotics.They say u will never get a positive result after taking antibiotics.

I have been diagnosed with epdidymitis, octilis (sp), and prostatis. The doctor said my prostate felt a little infected. I've noticed some obvious red spots in my stool the last couple of times. Blood? Simutaneously, my left scrotum is sore and swollen for 1.5 weeks. I've been treating it with ice, ibuprofen, levaquin, and loratab for several days. Not really sure if the medicine's working after 3 days. May not be enough time.

I got symptoms that resemble chlamydia or gonorrhea (frequent urination, weird feelin in the tip of my penis) so I took levaquin 750mg tabs once a day for five days. What are your symptoms? Most likely the diarrhea is from the antibiotics. You should probably look into taking some probiotics to restore the flora that has been decimated by the antibiotics. Remember the antibiotics kill most bacteria, good and bad and without the good you can get intestinal issues, thus the diarrhea. Yes, prostatitis can be caused by sexually transmitted bacteria that is not necessarily chlamydia or gonorrhea (perhaps E. Coli or NGU or many others).

Had taken levaquin, cipro, doxycycline, azythromycin, and cef. None worked. Could I have gotten genito-urinary tuberculosis, or tuberculosis urethritis from a bloody blowjob?

With no improvement of my symptoms from the advice my urologist gave, 5 days ago I went to a doctor who specializes in STD treatment. He took 3 urethral swabs and so far only has results back for chlamydia and gonorreha which are both negative. At our initial appointment he started me on doxycycline 2 times per day for 2 weeks and same regimine for flagyl. With 5 days of these 2 meds and about 3 weeks of levaquin i don't feel any better. Still discomfort in my urethra with no discharge.
Is there a chance that the initial treatments for my girlfriend and I did not clear up the infection completely? Is Levaquin a treatment for these and would the extended course have cleared these up? I do not have the classic symptoms of either of these maladies but my urinary tract does not feel 100% right. Should I have a follow up STI screening?
I appreciate any help you can give.
t want to battle with my doctor (who is a huge advocate of levaquin), but it seems that levaquin is not the right direction for me (I am allergic to penicillin), even if I were to develop pneumonia, which, with the corticosteroids, is also an increasing possibility. Do you have any further insight on this for me? Thanks for your help.
