However, it's been more than 4 months and the holes are still visible and not completely gone even though they said in the beginning that it would go away in couple weeks. They kept bringin me back for microdermabrasion but I feel like they aren't being completely honest about it. What is your professional opinion?

Avatar n tn e. electrosurgery, C02 laser, PDL laser), that the PDL laser is likely the most innocuous? After having this thing for 2+ years and watching it slowly, but surely, grow and spread in its area, I've lose faith in the "wait and see" approach. Avatar f tn however, the skin on the upper lip is far too sensitive for laser hair removal, whatever your skin tone. I have spent a fortune on creams such as Clinique's dark spot corrector with little effect. The issue is that the damage caused by the laser is so deep no topical solution is effective. I fear that the hyperpigmention will worsen over time, which terrifies me as the situation is already distressing enough.

Avatar m tn I am really surprised that a dermatologist said laser treatment would damage your skin as it was a skin specialist (who also deals with skin cancer) that recommended I have a laser treatment course. Avatar m tn Do they put something on the skin to help them see potential affected areas? From what I read the laser treatments are more effective, and the Dr. did not even mention that option. Avatar n tn It is very unlikely that your rash is pityriasis rosea, although this would be a reassuring diagnosis, as the rash resolves on its own after 4 to 8 weeks and leaves no permanent marks on the skin. No treatment is necessary. Typically this is a rash of childhood and adolescents. It has rarely been described in adults. Typically it can be preceeded by symptoms of sore throat, lymph node swelling and headache, although you can have none of these systemic symptoms as well.
748543 tn?1463449675 For the past few weeks I have been throwing around ideas as to the best way to respond to this matter. You see a recent article ( Feb.3 , 2009 NY times) titled "Best treatment for TMJ May be Nothing" nearly made me clench my jaw to pieces. While well written, I found that the author, Ms. Brody, relied heavily on out dated and narrow perspective supplied to her by a small group of dentists.
Avatar f tn I'm bringing up the post treatment issue again. I went off of treatment back in the 3rd week of June. This time post treatment is affecting me more so, than the other times post treatment. I'm not sure exactly why, except that I was on higher doses of Riba my last treatment. I am still having a problem with the itching. It's more noticeable when I've exercised, taken a shower/bath, or gone outside & been exposed to a non-A/C environment.

Avatar n tn ) to see if I could get it taken care of. I had read online that using laser treatment to remove it was probably the easiest procedure as it keeps the bleeding to a minimum and healing is relatively quick. However, once I saw the doctor she told me that unless it was really large, swollen, painful and otherwise causing additional medical problems it wasn't big enough for her to recommend that it be removed.
Avatar f tn The good news is that he said it is not and will not become a tumor or cancer--the shin is just inflamed in response to the pigment.
