Avatar n tn It feels as though my leg hairs and trying so hard to push their way through the skin on my legs. My next attempt at relief is to get laser hair removal to see if maybe it is mostly from my leg hairs. I'm not against trying anything and everything. As I stated I've lived with this for about 10 years and I am so ready to be done with it. I would love to wear shorts again, or go on water rides at amusement parks or SHOWER without fear.
Avatar f tn Is there a product on the market that can be purchased so that the white spots will even out with the rest of my skin? I also have a lot of age spots (brown spots) on my legs and arms; which I believe is also from the sun and tanning beds. Is there also a product for this available on the market?
Avatar f tn I have a child that is now 10 yrs old and he got cactus in his fingers when he was 3 yrs old in the desert(we live in AZ) . We though it was all removed at the time. Now throughout the years he has has bums all over the tops of his fingers that will occasionally fill with clear fluid and look like blisters. His hands will always look like he has tiny little popped blinder bumps on them. His Drs have all said it is noting it will go away.

Avatar n tn I'm getting lipodissolve done on Friday and am scheduled for a total of 4 sessions 8 weeks apart. They are also doing some skin tightening using a laser which will also help with the wavy appearance. This is my last resort and if this doesn't work, I give up! I'll keep you posted.
163305 tn?1333672171 Believe it or not, it is quite often the case that a Dermatologist is the first doctor to pick up on the possibility of HCV since often times the virus manifests itself in some type of skin condition at first (or eventually). Dr. Meffert is familiar with many of the side effects of HCV meds, HIV meds, Cancer meds and other medications that have Dermatological side effects.
948349 tn?1294383837 I would always touch myself and I couldn't believe how oily my skin would be. My skin is not oily anymore! It just looks like healthy skin! The root of the problem??? Is the oil... the bacteria thrive on the oily skin, the oily skin is some acne sufferers response to a lack of vitamin D... probably trying to make the precursor to vitamin D in the skin so it can be turned to vitamin D in the liver. But what happens when you have sufficient levels of vitamin D???
Avatar n tn I've had eczema in my ears for 15 yrs. It is very cyclical, starting w/intense uncontrollable itching, then clear fluid leaking from skin, followed by crusting over & flaking of skin in ears that is itchy in & of itself, leading to more scratching & picking at ears. The skin in my ears gets very damaged and ratty during outbreaks. I also have swelling of the ear canal after these itch/scratch episodes that are sometimes quite painful, & Motrin helps that. Avatar f tn What I realized Friday night is that since I have started LD I have been suffering from random breakouts of hives. I have sensitive skin, and I am allergic to a couple meds so I've had hives before, but usually you know right away what you did differently to cause them. This time I couldn't figure out what was breaking me out. I missed 2-1/2 days of work, had medical expenses, and took I don't know how much Benedryl for these crazy breakouts.
Avatar n tn also, my tummy is the thickest, but i have a lot of damage from an emergency c-section...and saggy skin. i'm wondering if it would be worth it there...the skin won't 'go back'. i'm in the kc area and have a great doc. is it okay to say the doc's name here?
472570 tn?1274689487 I have only experienced what I am now experiencing in southern california, near the river, and from someone I knew who came from southern az. the bugs I experience are like little stinging nettle bites. the sensation doesnt last long but it happens very frequently. I cannot see anything and I never see a mark from them but it feels like there should be. I dont exactly feel the crawling so much as a stingy presence.
Avatar n tn So is it the lip gloss I've been using that I had for a while or is it from dry skin? And I also had a dry patch of skin under my bottom lip. Any suggestions on what to do?? Should I use blistex to make sure my lips are not dry?
Avatar n tn Eat healthy, get rid of as many chemicals in the house and switch to more natural products (ie. cleaning, body care ect). I studied natural alternatives, essential oils, massage, yoga, meditation, Reiki. I finally quit taking my last and final medication… my anti depressant a few months ago. My doctor had a fit saying that all of the symptoms I am experiencing is because I have a chronic disease, hepc, and with chronic diseases you always have depression.
Avatar n tn I was told by two different neurosurgeons that fusion was my only option. WRONG! I had Laser surgery in May of this year and I can honestly say I now have NO PAIN and NO HARDWARE!! Plus I was back at my office less than one week after the surgery. The name of the facility is Laser Spine Institute : They also work on fusions gone bad. (I have never heard of a good fusion personally) The so called "Gold Standard" they told me.
Avatar f tn When I got pregnant it really got big and filled with milk my doctor said it was breaast tissue that traveled into my armpit and that as long as it didn't hurt it really wasn't anything to worry about. It just looks like extra baggy skin and as a result I can't wear sleeveless tops. I've never known anyone else who has this to ask what they think or feel. My husband thinks if it bothers me so much I shyould have it removed. I am scared and want to know what the health risks are.
Avatar f tn Placing permanent metal dental implants in allergic patients can provoke type IV or I reactions. Several symptoms have been described, from skin rashes and implant failure, to non-specific immune suppression. Objective: Our objective was to evaluate the presence of titanium allergy by the anamnesis and examination of patients, together with the selective use of cutaneous and epicutaneous testing, in patients treated with or intending to receive dental implants of such material.
Avatar f tn My grandmother survived the fire, but had a tracheoscapy and is home suffering with tracheal stenosis. My sister and I are taking care of her and looking for doctor's second opinion on whether or not she needs surgery. Yes, I have been under stress in the last year. I desire to get answers to begin correcting whatever is wrong with me. Not knowing is worse. Dragging on hurts as well.
940391 tn?1255758976 However I still have to continue with checks for all. Just had another skin biopsy three weeks ago and came back pre-cancerous (lentiginous junctional nevi with architechural disorder, moderate cytologic atypia (dysplastic nevus) according to shave biopsy. I hope that our Doctors are correct and these are nothing but I know how it feels to have to worry about it too. Good luck to both who post on here and God Bless!!!
Avatar n tn under the right conditions and ACDF is the gold standard of care. For the most part they are a slamdunk for the surgeon. What it comes down to is personal preference, donor bone, hip graft, or now ADR. Their is a greater benefit from a CERVICAL ADR, than a Lumbar ADR, the revision procedure. It is more complicated to revise a lumbar ADR, and as for right now, there is not a great implant out there.
Avatar n tn I know when it's going to happen - can feel pressure, then it pops and you see blood under the skin and then it itches like crazy. Sometimes it's a hard blue marble under the skin. I have 3 that are permanently there (two in the same finger). It's almost never caused by anything - just happens. Occasionally it's when I grip something.
Avatar n tn I have an eye doctor appointment this saturday to check my eyes out again and an appointment with my primary care in the beginning of January. I am really at the point where I want to tell the primary care to do whatever tests he has to do to figure this out. Whether it be another MRI, CT Scan, whatever. No one should feel this horrible from the time they wake up till the time they go to bed. It is so debilitating.
Avatar n tn My husband has been having constant headache pain for over 2 months--the doctor diagnosed him with carotid artery inflammation and we have been searching for more answers for which we're not having a lot of luck. Our primary care physican says he has only seen two cases of this and has prescribed anti inflammatories which haven't helped a lot other than make him nauseus. He has sweating episodes, cold extremeties also and wondering if anyone else is experiencing this at all?
Avatar n tn I don't have leg movement, just the skin on my legs has a burning or raw sensation when anything touches them, mainly at night. This past month I noticed the left foot vibrating and after becoming very aprehensive this evening decided to see if any one else has this problem. It is unnerving to stand and feel the floor vibrating. I can sure rest better tonight knowing I'm not alone. Now how do you get it to stop? I have felt some stressed this month also, but otherwise I feel fine.
