I have tried lamotrigine 25mg once daily and so far it hasn't helped at all. I've been reading endless forums and can't seem to find anyone who has found a treatment that works for them, if anyone has found something that works please let me know, I'm desperate for answers.
Unfortunately very little is known about this condition and it is a good thing that you will be seeing a migraine specialist shortly. Medications like anticonvulsants like lamotrigine, Topiramate and Valproate are usually prescribed for relief.

I have been taking lamotrigine now for 2 months gradually titrating the dose. It hasn't made any noticeable difference to my symptoms only giving me wierd dreams and broken sleep. Spoke to my neuro earlier this week he says if meds didn't work then my symptoms can't be related to seizure activity! I haven't had an EEG tho so don't know how he can tell this. I have had 2 MRI scans which have both been reported raising the possibility of a ganglioglioma.

Only a few interactions between lamotrigine and other drugs have been identified. Lamotrigine increases the plasma level of carbamazepine and its metabolites. Carbamazepine lowers the concentration of lamotrigine in the blood.
Lamotrigine (Lamictal) seems to be missing from your list. It is weight-neutral, but of course it, too, has a list of possible side effects. In my case, I really liked it as a mood stabilizer, but over time it caused pronounced hand tremors. The big one to watch out for is the risk of a severe and potentially dangerous rash. If Lamotrigine is ramped up very slowly, that risk is greatly diminished.

After reviewing the medications I was already taking (to avoid any conflicts) she recommended Lamotrigine for my intense anxiety. I am VERY familiar with off-label drug uses, but I can find no information re: the use of this drug for my situation. It is a drug used for bi-polar disorder and seizures. I thought that Atavan would be the drug of choice, and after reading more about Lamotrigine, I have become actually quite shocked about this recommendation.
I think they're confused. If you read the full prescribing information, it's the PILL that screws with the lamotrigine, not the other way around. It's not like a lot of other anticonvulsants. I am from malaysia age 21 and was and am under various psyciatrict drugs. Many times I was misdiagnosed and was given the wrong medication for my pasyciatric condition. These are the list of medications I was on for the past 5 years

Overall, there are reports for and against Lamotrigine in pregnancy. The treatment has to be individualized for each patient.
You will need a regular monitoring of the fetal growth.
I have been suffering from major depression and chronic pain for over 10 years. I am currently taking Wellbutrin XL 300mg, Lamotrigine 25 mg, Zyrtec, Levothyroxine 75mg, and Atenolol 50mg.
I started Lamotrigine (lamictal generic) 2 weeks ago. On day 9, I developed severe diarrhea and cramps. It was slowed down with 1 pill of Immodium, but after 2 days I decided to eat a "regular" meal and got diarrhea again.

Hi, my niece is 20 years old and this week had suicidal thoughts and was hospitalized for 3 days in a MH unit. She's been suffering from some moderate depression/anxiety for some time, but specifically connected to her period, her PMS was terrible! Anyway, she'd been taking a BCP which they changed and Prozac to help the PMDD, but now after the hospitalization, they've put her on Geodon 20, Lamotrigine 25 then increase eventually to 100, and Bupropion 37.5 to increase to 75 daily!!
