Patients were treated with NAs therapy (lamivudine, adefovir, telbivudine, entecavir and tenofovir) for at least 2 years. qHBsAg was performed every 6 months.
Results
Our results showed a significantly greater qHBsAg decline after 2 years in patients treated with tenofovir (0.45 logIU/ml) than in patients treated with telbivudine (0.12 logIU/ml; P < 0.001).
On AUGUST 19TH and AUGUST 20TH, I started taking ARVs which doctor prescribed. (Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate 300mg, Lamivudine USP 600mg, Efavirenz USP 200mg). ARVs made me dizzy, so I stoppped on AUGUST 21ST and AUGUST 22ND. After the viral load result, I started ARVs again. One pill everyday regularly.
4. On AUGUST 29th, I gave blood sample for PCR-HIV QUALITATIVE: (Performed using the Roche COBAS Ampliprep/COBAS Taqman HIV-1 Qualitative Version 2.0 assay.) It turned out negative.
I started PEP today, 18th Dec, 56 hrs 10mins after exposure, after a HIV test (negative), prescribed by the doctor, 1 tablet a day of Lamivudine USP 300mg and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate 300mg for 28 Days!
My questions are,
1) Do you think I'm at any risk?
2) Is the PEP dose correct and/or enough?
3) What should one eat while on PEP regimen?

Without taking any drugs, viral load was 22,000 in september 2009. 46,000 in december 2009. Doctor recommended lamivudine in January. Took lamivudine and by June 2010, viral load was undetected. have read in many forums that lam is not the best, approached my doctor with this concern and she sugessted tenofovir. Should i start tenofovir immediately, how should i start. Should i just abruptly stop lam and move on to tenofovir, should i use both and gradually stop lam after a few day/weeks.

I got lamivudine 100 mg /day vitamine E 4oo ui /day, orange juice everyday 50 cc/day ,and others fruits,2 months later my blood test showed DNA/HBV/PCR negative (<200 copies ),checked regularly every 3 months untill now still negative level. I have tested positive to Hbsag for more than a year now. I was placed on lamivudine, methionine and essential forte. d doctor never ask me to do viral load test anytime I see him he do ask me to do LFT and subject me to d early medications I listed. so a friend advice me to go teaching hospital were I can see a specialist. my question here is now that I have been on medication for a year without knowing my viral load what is d implication ?

1. I am HBV carrier, and I am also under treatment with taking lamivudine 100mg daily. Will this impact the result? Will lamivudine/HBV virus cause false negative?
2. Because I am taking lamivudine daily, will this cause the delay of seroconversion. I think the test was done about 18 months after events that I thought maybe risky.

I was examined by my first doctor and advice me that I am not qualified for medication but my employment requires to pass this Hepa B case so I look for another doctor that could give me something for medication.. The doctor and give me Lamivudine(Zeffix)..

Epivir=Lamivudine, said to be very safe for husband and wife who wish to have children. But do you have to choose Lamivudine as first-line treatment with its high resistance profile?
But in short, seroconversion from HBeAg to HBeAb COULD be an endpoint of lamivudine treatment. But no guarantee.
After treatment HBV, I took lamivudine 100 mg/day DNA/HBV is negative since May 2008. Successive (check blood DNA HBV Every 3 months).
Now after I stopped using lamivudine 2 months
-DNA/HBV: 280,000 Copies = 2,8 x 5log10.
-SGOT : 140 ui
-SGPT : 300 ui

s one taplet, with T for tenoforvir and L for Lamivudine on the other side of the taplet. two in one. the Lamivudine as my Dr says will help fight strains the a resistant to tenoforvir. Am worried bc if I start this combo i can't go back to tenoforvir alone. has anyone used this combo?
About one year ago when I conducted Hepatitis B profile, I had NON RELICATIVE INFECTION but about one year on lamivudine I am now REPLICATIVE. Please what does this suggest? I am planning to stop taking lamivudine because it gives me so much side effect ranging from stomach discomforts and back pains and general weakness. The doctor I met this time related all these complaints to lamivudine.
