Kariva to azurette

Common Questions and Answers about Kariva to azurette

mircette

Avatar n tn I had been on Junel fe for years, and was on Azurette before as well. I decided to switch back to Azurette because it helps my acne. However, I was advised to use a backup method for a month when exchanging. I finished my Junel Fe and got my period, then started Azurette on the Sunday after my period. I had the condom break the following Sunday after.(so I had 8 Azurette pills in my system when it broke, all taken on time).
Avatar f tn I was orginally on Depo-Provera for 1 1/2 years (never had a period), switched to Seasonale (major nausea), then switched to Tri-Sprintec (my chest got huge on this pill), and then to Kariva (was great!). I was on Kariva for 10 months. I never took the placebo week, so I never had a 'period'. However, if and when I missed a pill or took it a little late, I always had spotting for a day or two.
Avatar f tn II am trying to pin-point which of my female hormones is out of whack and causing, or at least contributing, to such terrible weekly Migraine headaches. Anyone know a good BC pill for individuals with severe, chronic Migraine headaches during ovulation AND menstruation? I am 29 yrs old, average weight, in fair health, have never been pregnant, and started my period at age 11.
Avatar n tn I started taking Azurette birth control 3 weeks ago when my period first started and it hasn't stopped ever since. Something doesn't sit right with me about this. The only reason I'm taking birth control is to stop my heavy flow and irregular cycle, so this shouldn't be happening. My current flow isn't too heavy, but definitely not spotting. My GYN says it's normal but Idk...please help.
Avatar m tn For the past 10 days I have had light brown discharge non-stop, bloating, and bad stomach cramps. I was on Azurette birth control for about a year and then I switched to Mircette(this is my first pack); so I was wondering if the switch could have anything to do with it even though they are basically the same birth control. I am due for my period on Tuesday the 29th. I am very confused as to why this is happening so I'm wondering if you have any ideas or explanations!
Avatar f tn Hi- I am a 17 year old girl and I have been on birth control pills for a little over a year and a half now. I was originally prescribed Ortho-Tricyclen Lo but was switched to Kariva in May of this year because it was said to be the "less expensive generic brand" of Tricyclen Lo. I always felt a little more irritable and noticed my skin got a little more sensitive when I originally started taking the pill, but nothing too bad.
Avatar f tn i was on Azurette.
Avatar m tn I am on Kariva birth control. I missed 2 or 3 pills the week that i had sex. We used protection everytime except penetration once for like 30 but he did not ejaculate. I took plan b (the one pill version) between th 48 and 72 hour mark. It has been 2 weeks since and my period has been a couple days late and very very light (dark brown). I know that the plan b causes disruptions in menstrating and so does missing pills but id like to lnow if im just overly paranoid.
Dinosaur I am on birth control pills and continued from one pack to the next skipping the placebo and reduced hormone pills that are normally taken for 5-7 days. I did this for 4 months straight. I'm not sure how concerned I should be.
Avatar m tn m a 21 year old who just stopped the pill after 5 years of being on it consistently. In October I was switched from Azzurette to Kariva, just a generic brand switch. I hated it and decided to go natural and stop the pill all-together around November 13. I got my "withdrawal period" right after.
Avatar f tn Hi, I've been taking birth control pills for years. I've been on Kariva for about 2 years. I forgot my pill tuesday and wednesday... had sex with my fiance last night (thursday) and then realized I missed those two pills so took them and my usual pill for that night (3 pills total). I realize I probably should not have done this and today I feel bloated and almost nauseous and out of it.
1063764 tn?1272821064 I started taking thyroid hormone levothyroxine 50mcg (smallest dose) on March 15, almost a two months now. I noticed about 4 weeks after I started taking it that my acne was beginning to flare up. I had it under control for many months by that point, and I'm trying to figure out if the levothyroxine is the cause. My endocrinologist told me that my thyroid function was normal without the medication but I am taking it because I have nodules (the medication slows down their growth.
Avatar f tn Okay, so I am a seventeen year old girl and I recently started the Yasmin Birth Control Pill. My doctor told me to start taking the Yellow pill (hormone pill) on the first day of my period which I found a little confusing as it is meant to stop your period.
11728532 tn?1451774466 Hi there, I'm an 18 y/o female and I have taken birth control ( Kariva -- to be specific) since I was 15 to treat PCOS. About a month ago, I had intercourse and afterwards I bled heavily and had cramps for a week. I should not have gotten my period for another two weeks according to my pills. When I took the pills that started my period, It was very light and ended two days early. We used a condom but I'm scared.
Avatar f tn Okay I am wanting to start birth control not for the usual reason. I want to start it to lighten my periods and help my acne clear up. I've already talked to my mom about it and she supports me on it. I just don't know exactly which pill to look into. Anybody have suggestions? I'll of course do more research but I need some ideas. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!
Avatar f tn I checked and the levoxly is not a generic and I do not take any other drugs (except Kariva at night). I would not know why my hair is falling out or what to ask the doctor to check. I am so worried that I will be the only bald one in my family.
Avatar n tn Hello, My endocrinologist diagnozed me with subclinical hypothyroidism and put me on Synthroid 0.25 mg two months ago. I consider myself healthy - 31 y.o., 5'10, 140 lbs, work out 3-4 times a week, eat right, have one child. I complained to the doctor about occasional fatigue, spells of dizziness, hair loss and my nails not growing. After 2 months on the medication I feel exactly the same way I felt before I started taking them which is pretty good for the most part.
Avatar m tn I have had a series of strange reproductive problems lately and have been able to get no definite answers (actually no answers at all) on what could be happening to me. I decided to post here to see if this sounds familiar to anyone. As I have had a lot of problems lately it's going to be a long post. Background: 25 year old female Never pregnant/no miscarriages etc...
Avatar f tn Before I started Mircette I stopped my pills about 3 days before I was supposed to right before I was to start my cycle. Anyway, long story short, with this pill all I've had are bad gas and gas pains, some cramping but other than that I don't feel like I'm on bcp. Well yesterday I was supposed to have my period but when I thought it was here, I had mucus like cm and then some pinkish brownish discharge with it.
Avatar f tn ) and my sister has had several abnormal pap’s where she has had to undergo a procedure to remove the cells. My mother and her mother both have/had uterine prolapse.I just don’t know if I should be concerned about all of this. Or if this is just a part of life I have to deal with. .
Avatar f tn I originally started seeing weird symptoms in mid-march but had never had bv symptoms before (though i did have bv when i was younger just didnt notice symptoms) and was living away from home out of state so I didn't have a doctor. I waited until late May to go get checked out where they diagnosed me with BV. I was prescribed Flagyl. I took the flagyl for 7 days and went back to make sure it went away, and they said the test came back negative.
508106 tn?1269959199 I'm a 17 year old female and for about a year now I've had severe problems with my period. I'm sent home every month from school when I pass out, go into a cold sweat and vomit from the pain of period cramps. Today once again it happened and I've been to the doctor several times trying 2 different types of painkillers that stop the bleeding quicker (can't remember the names) and have also been on the pill to no avail.
Avatar n tn For the last eight months I have been going through a lot of life changes. I graduated college, searched for a job, moved back in with my parents for four months, started a new & highly stressful job in which i work 60-70 hours per week, and decided to buy a house with my boyfriend of five years. Recently I developed a Strep Infection/Ear Infection which caused the Doctor's to put me on a Z-Pack. This was back in October (Oct. 27th to be exact).
Avatar f tn I think that you will be better able to find an answer to your question if you post it on the womens health forum. This is an ovarian cancer forum.
Avatar n tn I had a Thyroid storm early that month and my Endo began the process of trying to regulate me. He wanted to Radiate my Thyroid and I refused, instead opting to research the disease and fight this my way. After three months of PTU, I was regulated, but I'd began to gain weight and my numbers were borderline low. I'd been over-medicated. I went to see the Dr. armed with information and he agreed we could try my way until my numbers came back off.
1072361 tn?1256128455 t know what to do I try not to get upset and swear I will never do it again (to myself and to him) but then something he says or does or forgets to do annoys me and I say something. Anything I say is yelling and after awhile when he starts pouting and being mean I do yell. Then it becomes a full blown fight. He calls me names. I just say he is mean or being a jerk but I try so hard never to call him a name.
Avatar f tn finetilthree, do you have any memory of what brand or type of pill you were taking? it would be interesting to try to figure out if it's the estrogen or the progesterone that increases the arrhythmias. i know each pill has higher doses of one or the other. Your mom's story is comforting. I hope I get relief at menopause too, although sadly I probably have 25 years left before I get there.
