Okay I am wanting to start birth control not for the usual reason. I want to start it to lighten my periods and help my acne clear up. I've already talked to my mom about it and she supports me on it. I just don't know exactly which pill to look into. Anybody have suggestions? I'll of course do more research but I need some ideas. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!
I was orginally on Depo-Provera for 1 1/2 years (never had a period), switched to Seasonale (major nausea), then switched to Tri-Sprintec (my chest got huge on this pill), and then to Kariva (was great!). I was on Kariva for 10 months. I never took the placebo week, so I never had a 'period'. However, if and when I missed a pill or took it a little late, I always had spotting for a day or two.
I am on Kariva birth control. I missed 2 or 3 pills the week that i had sex. We used protection everytime except penetration once for like 30 but he did not ejaculate. I took plan b (the one pill version) between th 48 and 72 hour mark. It has been 2 weeks since and my period has been a couple days late and very very light (dark brown). I know that the plan b causes disruptions in menstrating and so does missing pills but id like to lnow if im just overly paranoid.
To whoever can help, it'd mean a lot. I'm a 21 year old who just stopped the pill after 5 years of being on it consistently. In October I was switched from Azzurette to Kariva, just a generic brand switch. I hated it and decided to go natural and stop the pill all-together around November 13. I got my "withdrawal period" right after.
In Aug 2007 I started taking Kariva 28 day and stayed on it until Aug 2009. A few months before this, I began having issues with my cycle. I wasn’t getting my period, I got my period early plus the full week I was supposed to, and then I was spotting several days a month. I then found out I had Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and started treatment hoping that would help. I didn't. I went on Portia 28 for 5 months, Junel 1.5 30 tab for 3 months and now I’m on Junel 1/20.
He also told me that my uterus was tilted back, told me to keep taking my progestin only birth control pill and and sent me home. The progestin only pill caused me terrible migraine headaches and irregular bleeding. I discontinued the pill in February 2011.
In April 2011 I had the sharp pain in my ovary again and began bleeding light pinkish blood a few hours later... This occurred two weeks before my period was due. The pain was accompanied by mild back pain but no nausea.
ve been on Mircette (a.k.a Kariva). Before I started Mircette I stopped my pills about 3 days before I was supposed to right before I was to start my cycle. Anyway, long story short, with this pill all I've had are bad gas and gas pains, some cramping but other than that I don't feel like I'm on bcp. Well yesterday I was supposed to have my period but when I thought it was here, I had mucus like cm and then some pinkish brownish discharge with it.
I checked and the levoxly is not a generic and I do not take any other drugs (except Kariva at night). I would not know why my hair is falling out or what to ask the doctor to check. I am so worried that I will be the only bald one in my family.
6 which is above the norm. I also take Kariva as a birth control. What I am worried about is whether I really need to take this thyroid medication. I am not an anti-medicine person, but I certainly don't want to be taking something I don't need to take. Please, advise.

i'm on the pill and I'm thinking of stopping it... I heard it has a lot of side effects.. I think it changes my mood a lot even with my boyfriend .. It makes me more sensitive to things... and I also heard it affects your sexual arousal .. But if I stop it I would be risking .. Any suggestions or experience?
so my plan is to skip my inactive tablets in my pill pack and move onto the next pack immediately. however i missed a dose of my pill, is this still a feasible option??
After i have the baby i am thinking about getting on a pill instead of an IUD or the shot. What recommendations do you guys have for a pill to take? I would prefer a non hormonal birth control. If you have any other ideas they would be appreciated.
im on the combined pill and ive missed 12 of my pills due to forgetting to take them, i have now missed my period could i be pregnant?
Do you mean you're now in your pill free week and waiting for your period to arrive? If so, then if you're taking your pill correctly - same time every day etc then chances are slim. You should still be using condoms too as a back up if not trying to get pregnant. During your period is also not your most fertile time, so that lessens chances again.
I am meant to go on the sugar pill today but I dunno if I should take anther normal one cause I had otherwise unprotected sex yestdersay??
Those anyone know about the abortion pill? Im between 6/7 weeks can I still take the pill???
