My husband has pain on the right side of his jaw (upper) and when he get this pain he also get's headache and pain behind my right eye. This has been going on for years. Sometimes it's on his left sidebut notas severe. He has seen a Neurologist intoronto for Tramilgia Neuraligia andthat was ruled out. then he seen another specialist for TMJ and that was rules out...help....
Pain in this area always alerts a physician to first check the Gallbladder. The Gallbladder also refers pain to the right shoulder. If the shoulder and jaw pain was on the LEFT side of the body, the heart and cardiovascular system should be evaluated and clinical correlation is required. Other less likely considerations would be accute myocardial infarction, gas, indigestion, intercostal neuritis, and diverticulitis.
It occurs in my cheek around the needle area from the anesthesia and my jaw (in the back right, both upper and lower jaw). The pain gives me headaches and pain on the right side from my neck up to around my ear.
Any idea on what's happening or possible treatments if the pain doesn't subside on its own?
t think I was having a heart attack, as most people will tell you signs for a hear t attack in a woman take place on their left side and I only had sever symptoms on my right side as well as numbness ONLY on my right side. My jaw hurts more now, which causes me to believe I might have TMJD. I am seeing a dentist on Tuesday. Hopefully everything goes away, and this all gets figured out!

For the part 2 weeks, I have been experiening pain when I open my mouth wide on the right side. The pain is right in front of my ear (upper jaw area). The pain is not there when I talk, chew, laugh..etc. Only when I open wide like to brush my teeth, or bite down on an apple...etc.
I don't hear any popping, clicking when I chew, talk o laugh. I am really worried to if I am developing an issue with my TMJ joint? Or something else all together.
I had my lower left side wisdom tooth removed about a week and five days ago and I am slowly experiencing more and more pain in my upper jaw area. I am having diffculties opening my mouth because of the pain and soreness. What I need to know is this normal to have pain in the jaw area after a wisdom tooth extraction? And if so, how long should I expect to experience this pain?
I feel it in my lower back, right groin area, upper right abnomin, right flank, and in my side. I also have some aching pain in my right buttock, hip, and upper thigh area. If it where not for the abdominal pain, I would be almost certain that this was coming from my lower back. It seems to bother me more when sitting. I have to admit that I am a little scared that this might be coming from an organ. I do not have any changes in my bowels or urination.
Eventually the pain came back, now stretching closer to my front teeth and also on the bottom teeth but still no pain whatsoever on the right side. The pain on my palate started to feel more like a burning feeling.
Also, my jaw is a little sore, and slightly swollen but nothing visible. If I press on the space between my ear and jaw it hurts. When I open my mouth super wide, I hear/feel the slightest pop/crack noise on the left side of my jaw.
Back pain won't cause neck/jaw pain, but neck/jaw pain can cause back pain. The effects of gravity apply forces downward. It sounds to me like it could be a problem in the upper cervical area (top of the neck), just beneath the skull.

everytime I open my mouth to eat, yawn, whatever, my jaw pops. I mostly feel it on my right side. Esp when I yawn, it feels like it gets stuck when I go to close it, and it always makes this huge popping sound and it hurts. Any idea what this is or what causes it? And do I need to see someone for this? Any help would be great. Thanks!!
I have exactly what is being didcussed under jaw pain tooth pain. I can't hardly stand the pain. A month ago it was on the other side of my jaw. Had it xrayed & got 2nd opinion. They said it could be a sinus infection. I can believe the pain can possibly be that bad. It left. Now I have exactly the same thing on the other side of my mouth. It is in the lower jaw/ bone/tooth. They said it normally is in the upper teeth. Has anyone got any answers?
I am pleased to say the pain in my lower right side has more or less gone however the pain in my upper right side is persisting. It sometimes feels like a stinging pain inside, it hurts when I breath and I am always aware of something under my right rib. It doesn’t respond well to exercise but I have put weight on with the pill and would rather the pain than put more weight on which I don’t imagine is helping. I have had unexplained diarrhoea, nausea and heartburn.
Then suddenly one day I began to feel right side eye pressure, also around the eye, forehead, ear, jaw, teeth, even the top of my head and neck...still no discharges at all but occasional facial swelling especially noticed in my mouth upper jaw line where my wisdom tooth would have been and very tender to chew. This may last a day or two at the most changing throughout the day with varying intensity and locations but always on the right side only.
I AM GIVEN ABOUT 30 SMALL INJECTIONS EACH TIME IN MY UPPER BACK, SHOULDER AND JAW AREA - ON BOTH SIDES - RIGHT (WHERE THE PAIN IS), AND LEFT. I AM STILL BEING SEEN BY THIS DOCTOR. I SAW SOME RELIEF AT FIRST, BUT NOW THE PAIN HAS RETURNED WORSE THAN EVER! I WEAR A BITE GUARD EVERY NIGHT, AND HAVE FOR YEARS. I DO STRETCHING EXERCISES AS PRESCRIBED BY THE DOCTOR. I HAVE TRIED TRAMADOL, TYLENOL, ADVIL, ALEVE, AND VICODIN, AND NOTHINIG RELIEVES THE PAIN.
I have a big impacted upper wisdom tooth on the side of the pain also. The right side upper wisdom tooth was removed two years ago. My bottom bite is misaligned. And sometimes the area of my sideburn in front of the ear on that left side is painful. But that pain isnt as bad. The dentist tells me that TMJ can cause all that. I rarely get headaches from this pain. And when i dont get headaches they are minor left side headaches with pain behind the eye.
Pain in the back right side of my head.Feels like a nerve stinger. For the most part it is fine in the day while I'm standing up straight, but when I lay down it triggers the pain. Also have noticed that when I yawn it will trigger the pain (at any point of the day). Not when I open my mouth big though....only when I actually yawn.But sleeping or laying my head down is what really causes these pains, when I have been lying my head and neck down in the same position for periods of time.
I have been experiencing pain in my right side at the bottom of my rib cage for the past several months. The pain gets worse after I eat certain foods, and worse when I am sitting down or lying on the right side. When I am sitting it feels like something is squeezing my rib cage very tightly. The pain sometimes radiates to my back and up to my shoulder blade. When I lay on my back I sometimes feel a squeezing, contracting,sensation. The pain is almost always present it just varies in severity.
Anyway, the pain came back again yeasterday with a vengence! My lower jaw on my left side has severe pain that lasts several minutes then subsides for a while. The upper jaw on the left side is also effected but isn't as severe. Sometimes there is stabbing pain to my ear. The pain is bad enough to wake me up at night. It almost feels like a "charly horse" in my jaw. I use a splint at night. I do have an implant in my lower jaw on that side and see a dentist regularly.
ve been experiencing intermittent pain in my jaw around my upper molar area. The pain radiates from my ear to right above my upper molar. It, also, extends to my lower jaw on the same side. I have had an ongoing problem with sinus congestion, but as of late, it seems to have gotten much better. However, in the past couple of days, I've become congested, again. Could this have anything to do with what's going on?
3) Heart attack pain is not always on the left side. It can be left side, right side, arm, elbow, jaw, neck or elsewhere.
4) Could be gallbladder or something else.
5) Could be anything in the abdomen because pain can radiate.
If it was me, I would go to the emergency room. You need to find out the cause and obtain treatment because any of those possibilities could be serious.
