3240950 tn?1351539258 For the last two days I've been having pain in my back molar. I believe the filling could be becoming loose. I want to know if anyone has had any experience with this while being pregnant and how did you deal with it. The pain is unbearable! And I don't have a dentist appointment until 4 more days. Im dying! Please help!
Avatar f tn Hello! I'm seeing my dentist on Monday so I'll ask him this but in the meantime, I thought I'd ask here! After a long time without going to the dentist due to a mental issue (agoraphobia), I got a filling done on a cavity that I've had for a while. The cavity was deep, but not so deep that I needed a root canal. My dentist told me it'd be sensitive for a week or so, but to talk to him if it gets worse or if there's any throbbing pain.
Avatar m tn if your problems developed after cavity filling, the possible cause is occlusal interference, although you feel bite is correct.
Avatar f tn Even though if you still having pain then you can use jaw strengthening exercises or jaw stretching exercises to get relief from jaw pain.
Avatar n tn With the pain, yes. But the pain medication doesn't address the actual problem so you'll have to see what's going on. Sometimes the tooth/nerve can start to die and result in less pain as well.
Avatar n tn The dentist flossed around the crown and between the tooth with the new filling and I instantly felt pain. The pain goes all the way down to the jaw. I told the dentist and he said it should go away in a few days. I do not understand how it felt fine before, and now it is in pain. I would appreciate any help because now I am fearful of going back.
Avatar n tn Now I gues the freezing was not working so I had to get a lot of freezing, so much that it was numb up to my eye basically. He did the filling, lots of pain, the usual. So the next day I had pain, took some tylenol, figured I just had lots of work done so I'll let it heal. So about a week goes by and still MASSIVE amount of pain. I went back, he says it's my bite, because of how much freezing I had done, it was hard to fix my bite properly. OK I get my bite fixed.
Avatar n tn It was from a routine check up that the Doctor told me that although I have no pain, it should be filled up before it worsens. Now after filling the cavity when having food I have pain on that particular tooth.
Avatar n tn He repeated the procedure again the next day, taking out the filling, claning the cavity and replacing the filling. He also prescribed a course of antibiotics. 30 hours later and I am in agony, painkillers not working, my whole lower jaw throbbing, unable to sleep or even put my teeth together. Help. I'm due to go back tomorrow when he says he will replace the originall root canal filling. Will this help?
Avatar n tn This may result in pain after a filling. Also, if the bite is off, it can also cause pain. Lastly, since he did check the gums, its probably not that but that could also be a cause.
Avatar f tn yeah i had root canal tratment done to it and i have had this problem since, the temporay filling has fallen out and i think this has caused bacteria to form, i cant feel my jaw but do feel extream pain, i think it is all over my nerves, saw dentist and he told me to keep taking antibiotics, i have stared 4 days ago a new strong one but no effect yet.
Avatar n tn Since then, this tooth has been hurting me, causing pain to radiate from my tooth to my jaw. It is sensitive - but not overly so - to cold and heat. I went to my dentist and he took an x-ray this week and saw no sign of decay or abscess. What could the problem be?
Avatar f tn Yes, but I had a cavity and it was fine for me to have a local anesthetic and a filling. But I do know there is a condition you can get in pregnancy where your jaw gives you tooth pain, especially if you've had a clicky jaw before, and common around 1st trimester when the relaxin hormones kick in. You can probably google it.
Avatar n tn i had a deep filling done yesterday and although i have taken 4 painkillers this morning nothing seemsto help the deep aching jaw pain andin top of cheek This discussion is related to pain and sensitivity after filling on different tooth.
Avatar f tn My 8 year old son has an extensive cavity in tooth #14 and it has to be removed. He also has an extensive cavity in tooth # 19 which doesn't include the root, like the cavity in #14 does. The dentist wants to do a root canal and filling in tooth #19 and then a crown when the tooth finishes breaking through the gum. He also has EXTREME crowding in his lower jaw with his front 4 teeth almost sideways.
Avatar n tn Hello, I went to the dentist about four months ago and I was told that I needed a cavity filling between teeth #'s 19 and 20 I believe. It was a very small cavity from what the dentist told me. He filled the cavity, and everything seemed fine for a few weeks.
Avatar m tn I had a cavity filling done 2weeks ago and just went back for an adjustment and my dentist shaved it down. I now have little discomfort feeling . Is that normal from the adjustment?
