Ivf estrogen patch protocol

Common Questions and Answers about Ivf estrogen patch protocol

Avatar n tn Ok, any advise would be great. I had my transfer yesterday morning, and today I was instructed to start my Vivelle patches. Does anyone know where they are supposed to be applied? I was kinda out of it on my muscle relaxer, so I think they told me stomach or arms are ok...is that right? Thanks so much...it's just all so confusing...Let's hope this IVF takes and I won't have to be a science experiement again next cycle...
Avatar f tn I'm sorry about your cancelled cycle. You will probably still ovulate on yopur own (if you normally do). I would use OPK's or an Ov. monitor to make sure. Did your RE say he was going to change your protocol for your next IVF attempt?
1268796 tn?1332893451 I had grade C embryos as a result of the long lupron protocol. My RE thinks that it was not a good protocol for me and my Estrogen levels were all over the map. my E2 started high and I was a quick responder with too many follicles, dropped the stims dose but it still went up. they were worried and tweaked the protocol and ended up with a drop in estrogen and had to trigger me right away.
Avatar f tn They are having me increase my Progesterone shots from 1cc to 1.5ccs and get an Estrogen patch. The nurse says that this doesn't mean that the procedure didn't take but I am worried. It sounds like a bad sign. My question is for other people who have had IVF. Has this happened to you? Did it mean you weren't pregnant? I am being paranoid or should I prepare myself for the worst? I have had IUI twice and this is my first IVF.
Avatar f tn Has anyone here ever been on an IVF antagonist protocol (no lupron)? What did you think?
Avatar f tn My RE has me wear an estrogen patch, which I change every 3 days until AF arrives, then I leave it on until it either falls off or I trigger. My estrogen level is fine, but he wants to give it a little boost at the on-set of taking the meds. So, I will start the patch tomorrow, then take a ganirelix shot on Wed, Thurs and Friday. Wait for AF to show, go in for baseline blood and u/s and then start meds.
1545464 tn?1376704158 i would be put on estrogen priming protocol this time. last time it was gonal-f lupron supression protocol which didnt work for me. my numbers are not too great. am 33. AMH low FSH slightly elevated though follicle count is good; didnt seem to be working for me. Hoping for the best this time. did anyone had EPP protocol? is it complex really tough or is it ok?
400358 tn?1320234443 Anyone going to be trying for a IVF in December?? We are planning on doing a FET on Dec.
Avatar f tn Hi Kah, hey thanks soooo much for sharing your experience. I was supposed to take Estrace patch every alternate day and I got soo scared when I had chest pain. I just got a call back from my RE and you know what they said? They are saying the pain should not have come and it's highly unlikely that the estrogen patch caused it!! I didn't even speak to my RE, just her nurse asst. They told me to discontinue the patch.
Avatar f tn Hello, for my IVF protocol my RE has recommended crinone vaginal inserts vs the usual progestrone shots. On my last IVF I was on the sma eprotocol and I got my AF 2 days before my Beta. So I am wondreing if crinone is as effective. Has anyone had any success with Crinone, while Crinone is less painful but at this point I am willing to walk on a bed of nails to get pregnant so I want to go for the more effective progestrone.
Avatar f tn m particularly interested in knowing what this might mean for which IVF protocol might work best for me. I have an appointment with an IVF doctor 7th Jan but would like to go to the appointment informed! Thanks a lot.
Avatar f tn Had my first blood test and my progesterone is 84 and estrogen at 47. I was told estrogen is low, to increase from 1 estrogen patch to 3 and I'm freaking out wondering if this will affect the outcome of things. During the 2WW I've had mild cramps and other minimal symptoms and wonder if what I'm feeling or not is a good/bad sign. Anyone with similar numbers? Do you know if low estrogen levels affect the implantation process?? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!! Good luck to all!!
Avatar f tn Progesterone, baby aspirin and estrogen are standard protocol after ivf. Follistim is a drug also used in ivf (fsh drug). Progesterone itself is needed to Help support and maintain your uterine lining.
Avatar n tn just had IVF 2 weeks ago doc has me on estrace and progesterone (boh vaginally) everything I am reading says to aboslutly NOT take estrace during pregnancy whats the deal?
945508 tn?1259156758 //www.ivfmd.net/Treatment/treatment2.htm Make sure your RE is monitoring your estrogen level after your transfer and not waiting until your hcg...
Avatar f tn Most docs will say that some fail and some succeed, and won't change their protocol, but don't hesitate to ask if he thinks you had enough estrogen and progesterone, or if he thinks there is anything else that might be changed.
Avatar n tn hello everyone,i just had my ivf cycle cancelled on day 10 because my protocol is not doing the trick.i had ten follies on wed but i don't know where they dissapeared to.this money, they could only find 4 which are not growing at all.i was on follistim 375 once daily, menupur 3,ganirelex once daily.has anyone been on this protocol and has cycle cancelled? do i need to pay for a new cycle? can anyone advise me on what to eat or do to get better follies on my next trial?
405370 tn?1332206110 I was wondering if anyone could tell me what estrace is and how it is used in an IVF protocol. I had a m/c on Feb. 26 after my first IVF. I have to start all over again because I only have one frozen embryo left. My Dr. says I can start estrace on day 20 of my cycle. How is it different than b/c? Side note-my dr. says he'll start me on estrace but if my ins. doesn't pay all the bills for my IVF (yeah..I'm a lucky one) than we have to wait until on the bills are paid.
Avatar f tn Can someone give me a quick synopsis of what all is involved in IVF. If I get AF tomorrow or Tuesday...which HPT says negative- (Still hope there's a miracle, but trying to be realistic)..I will be having next appointment this week to discuss IVF for October. Re recommends that I go that route at this point (He actually said IVF with ICSI). - What kinds of meds do you have to take? How long is the process and what all is involved? I know nothing about this process.
Avatar f tn RE put me on Estrogen priming protocol, and I am on Lupron and Cetrotide as well. On Friday, (cycle day 6) the newer nurse thought she saw 11 follicles.. ranging from 5mm to 9mm.. now, Cycle day 9, the other nurse, who has been there forever, saw only 5 and she had a hard time locating my other ovary. She pressed on my abdomen, which was tender from the cramping I've had from the FSH meds.
