He scheduled a blood test for me that he said tested for CBC (Complete Blood Count), Liver function and Kidney function because he wanted me to go on acne medication that required these tests (Isotretinoin). He also gave me some antibiotics to clear up sinus. I asked him if he thought this might be lymphoma and he said it is very unlikely since I have an obvious infection on my face (severe acne) plus the fact I have sinus infection.
3) Can i use X5 hair laser and Isotretinoin in the same period ??? Cause I read that isotretinoin produces photosensitivity and I would not suffer irritation or problems to the scalp.

This is an excellent question. Vitamins and isotretinoin can be tricky. B12 in general can actually be traced to acne flare ups. Isotretinoin can decrease B12 levels. Low B12 can be problematic. But generally is isn't recommended (B12) to be taken with Isotretinoin very often. I am glad you are followed by a doctor, is he the one who prescribed the isotretinioin? And why are you having the B12 added? I would talk to them about it as well as ask your usual pharmacist.
Has anyone taking isotretinoin?.i know there is a risk ov depression,I'm on my 6th day today ov taking them and don't feel too great.i feel quite low but really agitated,can't switch off and can't keep still.do u think its because ov these meds or just a coincidence?
I have been using Isotretinoin since July 2021, and the cumulative dosage is about 100mg/kg. After I stopped using Isotretinoin, I found that my eyes were very dry, and it has been maintained for about a month and a half. I know that Isotretinoin can inhibit the secretion of body oil. I want to know whether the drug's inhibition of sebaceous glands is permanent? Will the secretion of oil recover slowly over time? Permanent dry eye is a disaster for me.
after that i had Shaking in my hand (for 3 month then it removed) and bad concentration (i did not know till now why i did not go dr may i was thinking that is not problem ) after 4 year i did a test for thyroid and the result was positive for hypothyroidism , i want to ask if there is connection between the medication (Isotretinoin and accutane) and hypothyroidism and if it reversible
This means i did not complete the 6 month treatment. Right now i have been off accutane for 2 months and a half.Right now i have occasional pimples but nothing great like before. My face is getting back to its normal greasy self.I have many embarrassing scars on my face, My question is, is it okay to have laser treatment on my face or microdembrasion or do i suffer the possiblilty of having my acne scars worse than they are now?
His blood tests show liver function is great and triglycerides have stayed low. I am worried, however, about his complaints with joint pain. He recently had x rays and an MRI done on his right knee (which was an issue b4 the accutane) and then got relief for that knee when it was drained of excess fluid. He complains that he feels like an old man, something is always hurting.

It is advised when taking this medication to monitor their blood and liver enzymes because of this effect. However, ironj deficiency anemia can go back after stopping the medication. Iron supplements may be prescribed to bring the levels of your red blood cells to normal. It is also recommended that you refrain from donating blood for at least a month after because the risk of the medicine to an unborn child if the blood transfusion was received by a pregnant woman.

However i feel uneasy and very worried because i had read the following medical research papers where it tells the harmful side effects Isotretinoin has such as teratogenic and more importantly the cause of eye disorders, like impaired night vision, cataracts, optic neuritis, corneal opacities and dry eye.
I had check in PubMed about this and i encountered the following

I got a rapid test at 6 weeks, the result was non-reactive, and another rapid test at 9 weeks, the result was non-reactive. Both rapid tests used finger-picking method. Is this a good indicator of my 13 weeks result? CDC recommended to test at 3 months and even up to 6 months, should I keep testing until 6 months after the exposure? Thank you.
Infact I had one that matured and dried out. But this one seems to be hard and big and red. Also my lip is swollen in that area. This problem has now lasted for 2 days and seems to worsen and pains!
Any suggestion on how I can bring this swelling down and the bump on my lip? Is is not a pimple?
Can I buy any over the counter medicne for this problem?
You are asked to do LFT Roaccutane(Isotretinoin) is metabolised by liver and excreted into urine and feces.As it is a fat loving drug being interacting with fat intake,so the test was done to determine the levels of your lipids and transaminases which may lead you to severe side effects if your levels are compromising.
If your levels such as Lipds or Cholesterol,Albumin or ALT/AST are way too high, you cannot use this drug.
maintenance doses of oral isotretinoin in the range of 10-40 mg every other day or 0.05% isotretinoin gel is rarely indicated as a suppressive treatment for widespread disfiguring sebaceous hyperplasia. Oral isotretinoin should be prescribed by a physician who is experienced in oral retinoid therapy and only for patients without contraindications.
m using isotretinoin. Then i got some ulcers on my lips and my doctor said its because of the isotretinoin. Then he prescribed minoz 50. I can't bear this acne anymore...
Treatment of seborrheic dermatitis includes shampoos containing coal tar, ciclopiroxolamine, ketoconazole, selenium sulfide, or zinc pyrithione, keratolytics such as salicylic acid or coal tar preparations , topical terbinafine solution, lotions containing alpha hydroxy acids or corticosteroids , milk of magnesia ,isotretinoin and UV-A and UV-B light.

I started my menses on May 11, 09. I went on vacation and did not take my pill at least one day and then i forgot to take it another day but doubled up the next day. I had unprotected sex on the 25th of May. I took a pregnancy test and it came out positive on June15th. What are the chances of severe defects to by unborn child? I am at least 4wks pregnant. Is there anyone that has experienced getting pregnant right after taking accutane and what were the results? Please help!!!!

It will not cause birt defects years after taking it.
