Is yaz for you

Common Questions and Answers about Is yaz for you

yaz

Avatar f tn I would definatly consult your family physician or your OBGYN about a suitable birth control for you. I took Yaz a few months ago for a short period of time(just a week and a half) and it messed with my emotions and feeling like crazy. I strongly suggest you don't use Yaz. I still don't feel like myself even though I am off the pill. If you like being happy, don't use Yaz, please, its not worth it. I have not heard many good things about Yaz since I have taken it.
405998 tn?1222396217 Hi, sorry for all your trouble. my daughter is 19 and she started on yaz in may of 08 for pms, she loves it. said she could tell the difference in her cycles the very first day. that's all the info I have on it.
Avatar n tn I am contemplating not starting another pack of YAZ this weekend-- as I believe the pill is causing me to become aggressive, angry, depressed, and otherwise flat affected in comparison to who I typically am. I have taken the pill for 7 months--when I first began, I noticed many mood swings, temper bouts, and then, it magically leveled out (as suspected) as I got used to the pill.
Avatar m tn Is there any difference in the contraception effectiveness of Yaz in patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome? If so what are they?
Avatar n tn Thank you so much. I just started using yaz. I am planning to be on it for three months then try to get pregnant. The only sysmtoms im experiencing so far are head aches.
Avatar f tn However, yaz made my periods last longer, and I would bleed on and off for a week towards the end of using yaz.
Avatar n tn I only pay 30 for yaz.. do you have insurance?
Avatar f tn I've always had good luck with Yaz and Yasmin. Yaz has fewer side effects and most people can tolerate it and it works. However- everyone's body is different, and until they get the hormone balance right, you could have spotting, etc. I can say, that most likely- there is a pill out there that you could tolerate. Good luck.
1447404 tn?1284604228 ll experience a larger stomach upset if you eat a good that is high in carbs and sugar, so be careful or you might be glued to the toilet for a while! I haven't done much research on Yaz myself but from what I've read, weight gain, bloating and fatigue are common symptoms with Yaz. HTH!
Avatar f tn Thank you for the comment. I was planning on giving it a go, but I am more assured of the decision. Thanks again, and I am glad it has worked for you. Hopefully I will have the same outcome!
Avatar f tn I was on Lo Lo Estren and it was perfect but insurance wanted a generic so I was given a generic for Yaz. Now I am losing my mind! I am super anxious all the time and suddenly jealous of every woman that my husband works with. I obsess over silly things that I would never worry about before. I am switching back ASAP but I was wondering if anyone else has been through this with Yaz as well. I don't know how long I can take this until the pill is out of my system!
Avatar f tn I have PCOS and my doctor presribed me with Yaz birth control pills and it help regulate the period. But is itnormal that I bleed everytime im fingered. Is it normal with PCOS? There’s always blood when the fingers come off.
911052 tn?1242791283 Is there a possibility that I could be pregnant? Or is it the pills and the fact my body is getting used to the pills and getting used to the IUD not being there anymore?
Avatar f tn She said bleeding will stop after I finish YAZ, then switch to ALTHEA when I get my first period. She said that Althea is a little bit high on dosage compared to YAZ. My remaining YAZ pill will be finished on November 29 (two white pills for that day). **When will I have my next period if for November, I had long periods? I want to know when I will get my next period? **How is ALTHEA compared to YAZ?
Avatar f tn I too have been taking Yaz for 5 cycles now and I have experienced the same bloating you are talking about. I am a very athletic person and I run almost 70 miles a week. Before Yaz I was skinny 5'3 110lbs and I didn't have much of a tummy at all.I am still the same weight but now I look almost pregnant, and i am positive i am not, but my stomach sticks out so much from bloating and it is making me miserable as well. I just want it to go away.
Avatar f tn I see from the MedHelp drug database that Yaz is actually prescribed sometimes for depression -so that can only mean it does effect your emotions. I think this is a doctor question, so I hope you will ask about it -and tell us what you learn. Medhelp has a very thorough drug database. To get to it, enter the name of any drug in the search box at the upper right of your screen and click "Go.
Avatar m tn ve heard from more than one source that the bc pill Yaz also sold as Yasmin, same stuff, is dangerous. If Yaz is causing you to be depressed, with panic attacks and anxiety, I would suggest getting of Yaz altogether, with the help of your family doctor. Wouldn't even finish the end of the package of Yaz. I've heard it can cause blood clots. Seeing as you had unprotected sex with your boyfriend, this would be a good time for a doctor's visit. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Ok, well, it's still way too soon to judge how you should be feeling. For one, the Yaz isn't completely out of your system, that can take a week or two to notice a change, and the Lexapro...you have to give that at least 4-6 weeks to be able to asssess how it is working. Plus, the Lexparo can frequently cause initial side effects, one of the most common being an increase in anxiety and feeling very "jittery". That feeling should start to subside in about a week or two.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Yaz for about 4 months now. I am almost ready to go to the doctor for my depression and anxiety. Then, I started researching my pill (Yaz) and have found that these symptoms are likely related to this pill. I want to stop taking it and my husband is in support of that. However, I have read about terrible side effects from people that stopped, too. Anyone have experiences to share?
Avatar n tn well im not sure just make sure you ask all the questions you can about it to your doc. well maybe you just react better with it but my sister told me that yaz has so many lawsuits against them and that it just isn't a good recommendation to take it.
Avatar n tn s really important to use a condom every time to keep both you and your girlfriend safe from STDs. You stated your girlfriend is using YAZ as a form of birth control. Are you aware that YAZ can have some serious side effects. The product YAZ has made some women very sick. Tell her to google YAZ and she can see for herself. As far as the odds she is pregnant, and you not using a condom and saying you may have come a little inside, and pulled out 97% of the climax, hopefully not.
178590 tn?1294176767 I was on Yaz for a few months, it is the DEVIL! I had anxiety attacks, mood swings, depression, terrible yeast infections, and trust me the list goes on and on and on. I found a forum on here talking about Yaz and over 250 women replied to it and ALL of them had horrible issues with this birth control. Please get off of it ASAP. You'll feel much better, I promise!
1310992 tn?1274217387 I would stop taking Yaz definately! There is lots of bad things going on with Yaz it could be counteracting with the Prozac also..im surprised the Dr has not took you off! I hope we dont scare you more but you really need to do research on Yaz and give it to your parents and Dr! Good luck sweety and keep us updated please!
Avatar f tn I was just wondering a) if anybody else has felt sick on Yaz; b) if going off it helped; and c) how long it took for the pill to get out of your system? Thanks for any help. (I'm 18).
Avatar f tn Well I took Yaz for 3 months and at the end my fiancee kindly asked me to switch, because I was so depressed and crying over everything. My body hurt so much also, headaches, stomach, then I started asking my girlfriends about it - all of them that tried it, got off it very quickly. But it might effect you differently..
Avatar f tn m always Sooo hungry and tired, I am so depressed and after reading all these comments I am taking myself off the medication, I am never again taking YAZ, you guys answered all my questions that I was under the impression that my under active thyroid was making so fat, when I don't really eat big quantities of food, it's my continuing snacking that doesn't stop, I am looking forward to dropping weight now that Summer is coming, "FAREWELL YAZ"!!!
Avatar f tn Have you seen the write up on the YAZ pill and issues people have experienced as Bayer "maker" of YAZ has not kept to their promises in terms of how good this pill is compared to other contraceptives. In a forum on this website there were quite of bit of ladies who told thier stories relating to this pill, headaches, bad acne, heavy mood swings, lot of others. Is Yaz treating u well?
