I take Imitrex for my migraines and Ibupropin. I also have a migraine variant that started in my 20's and I was throwing up all night and stomach pain but no migraine to start with. I couldn't get diagnoses until I saw a neurologist who did an EEG and it was positive for a migraine/seizure pattern. She tried antidepressants to get me to sleep so I wouldn't throw up and it worked for a while. Finally, they gave me Klonpin.
Since I started to wean off my Xanax addiction I quit taking the Vicodin and Tramadol, except for 1 day had bad migraine and none Imitrex pills, my insurance only covers 9 pills and paying them is more than 200 dollars. The point is that I do not feel side effects or W/D effects from quitting the Vicodin and Tramadol. It this possible? I didn't even knew Tramadol was an opiate until I joined this community.
So I'm hooked on tramadol, without which I can't really walk with my back and the detox is hell, and living in a country where I can get them cheaply, without a prescription, at about 50 locations within a 5 minute walk to my house. Good news: they do have AA here! Bad news: NOT IN INGLES, and my lazy butt hasn't learned Spanish yet. I've tried quitting cold turkey a few times and haven't made in more than 2-3 days. I'm still not drinkin though.

I have been clean from Vicodin 5/500mg and Tramadol 50mg for about a week now, and I'm in a long term tapering of Xanax.I have not experienced any discomfort from the Xanax withdrawal due to the slow tapering process but since two days ago and today is the worst, I have been feling severe migraines and severe pain in the muscles of my back and neck, specially arund my shoulder blades, where some " knots" are forming and are very painful to the touch.
However my concern is that I have been weaning off the Xanax slowly and steady for about 55 days, and the Tramadol and Vicodin I practically didn't use them since 19 days ago but I'm having since the first week and have become more intense now muscle cramps, at first they were on some points arount my scapula bones in my back, there were formed some "knots" painful and constant, very painful to the touch and frequent migraines.
Please tell me I'm really robbing myself of true energy, and that once I'm off of these I'll regain my natural energy and love for life.
I read tramadol also is a serotonin something or other and you withdraw from that as well. I'm on zoloft which is an SSRI.
I hope you take me seriously, I'm very addicted, very scared and fear I'll be a real wreck. Please tell me how long this will take?
Is the withdrawal worse the longr you've taken the drug?
When my pain worsened I went on Percocet and stopped the Tramadol. I'm wondering if I'd continued on Tramadol long term along with the Prozac what could have happened. My concern was that I needed the Percocet which clearly an addictive narcotic. I don't understand all the hoopla so many people have posted about Tramadol. It is not a narcotic so where does the addiction come from? Could somebody please explain why it is so dangerous to take it long term.
***I feel moody, paranoid, slightly depressed (anxiety only lasted the first week off the Ultram) and I did not feel this way before I started the Ultram- it is affecting my relationship and well being and I feel I need help. Could I have affects from this drug this far out after stopping it? Would Lexapro help and would it be safe with the other drugs I am taking?
I took botox injections in the neck and shoulder plus muscle relaxants and some narcotic pain medication as needed before getting pregnant -- and imitrex for the headaches.
My OB has given me lortab to take and she feels comfortable with it on a an as needed basis. I am looking for some more comfort that this ok -- I took it with my first baby as well -- but still. She also gave me the option of tramadol.
Day 14 without vicodin and tramadol. Yesterday I had some allergic reaction to Tylenol PM and went to ER, no major problem. I am on day one for the 5th time, and 8 weeks pregnant. I had the flu, a bad chest cold, and going through withdrawals. i tried cutting down but still had withdrawals so decided to just stop. Dr said it is ok for baby, and I can't take any if the meds to help. I have no energy, can't eat can't sleep and have a 2yr old I have to care for because my husband owns a business and is always working.
Today I went to see a neurologist today, and hopefully try to get him to get an MRI of my pituitary gland and thyroid, but he only prescribed some Imitrex (100mg), Propranolol (20mg), tramadol (50mg), and ibuprofen (800mg) for migraine headaches, I get them on and off, sometimes they are pretty bad but anyway that was all, and he didn’t see any other reason to have an MRI done.
I have taken two 50mg Tramadol for about a year now for a shifted pelvic bone due to an accident. I have sever lower back pain and tramadol is what my doctor prescribed to me, and seems to be the only thing that will even touch the pain. I am 27 wks pregnant now and my OB knows I am on the medication.. in fact i reduced my dosage to one 50mg a day. I honestly just want a second opinion about continuing the medicine for the duration of my pregnancy or stopping all together.
