Common Questions and Answers about Imiquimod tlr7

Avatar m tn Studies with the oral TLR7 agonist GS-9620 in animal models of chronic hepatitis B (CHB) have recently highlighted the potential of therapeutic immune modulation by small molecule agonists of innate immunity. To further explore the potential of PRR agonists to induce efficient and durable immune control against HBV, we tested the direct anti-HBV effect of different PRR agonists in cell culture models of natural infection.
Avatar n tn Depending on the size and location of the wart, and other factors, a doctor will offer one of several ways to treat them. * Imiquimod (Aldara) a topical immune response cream, applied to the affected area * A 20% podophyllin anti-mitotic solution, applied to the affected area and later washed off * A 0.
Avatar m tn There was a negative correlation between serum 25OHD levels and MFI expression of TLR7 on B cells, T cells, and monocytes. TLR7 function, addressed by in vitro stimulation with a specific agonist, was significantly correlated with serum 25OHD levels, and this was especially a result of the results in HC older than 60 years. MFI expression of TLR5 on T cells and TLR2 on monocytes was also negatively correlated with serum 25OHD levels.
Avatar m tn The use of TLR7 stimulation by imiquimod in HBV patients would be totally experimental at this point in time, possibly used off label by some brave hepatologists. Gileads drug. which is NOT imiquimod, but also a TLR7 agonist and possibly chemically quite similar ( they are totally secretive about this!) to imiquimod given orally has shown dramatic results in woodchucks only, patient trials will hopefully start soon.
Avatar m tn stefeno, it is their on net that imiquimod is an tlr7 receptor same as gs9620 which has shown good result in current hepb trials. but gs9620 are still on trial.may be we can benefitted from imiquimod so we can try it. so please tell us about its dosing and method of intake and about its availability. you tried for 7 days ,in gs9620 trial they tried 15 doses in one month in first part of treatment. dose prolong dosing of imiquimod may help more?
Avatar m tn Ah of course, I plain forgot about GS9620, Gilead's TLR7 agonist. Yes, Stef2011 had also posted about existing TLR7 products. A Chinese forum reader also commented that it was like another way to inject Interferon. The vaccine I have in mind was based on Gilead's collaboration with GlobeImmune: The collaboration with Gilead aims to generate therapeutic vaccine products that have a specific HBV DNA antigens cloned into S. cerevisiae.
Avatar m tn stef is thinking of making a trial of tlr7 compound immiquimoid under expert supervision from france in future which is from same class as gilead's gs 9620. whose results will be available much before gs9620. actually stef told it is available as aldara cream but has no standard method to consume and has many sides. djxpress may tell more about gs 9620. it makes our body to make our own interferon and in more quantity with less side effect and may be very useful in curing hepb with antivirals.
Avatar m tn A Double-Blind, Randomized, Placebo-Contolled, Single and Multiple-Dose Ranging, Adaptive Study Evaluating the Safety, Tolerability, Pharmocokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, and Antiviral Activity of GS-9620 in Treatment Naïve Subjects with Chronic Heptitis B Virus Infection.
Avatar m tn it explains how these viruses hijack/alter immune responses from the begining, exactly starting from macrophages which are the first step of immune activation or tollerance another analogy is that the new gilead drug activates tlr 7 receptor on macrophages while gcmaf activates all macrophages receptors.....activation of tlr7 has an effect on both hbv and hcv, on hbv leads to hbsag and hbvdna decrease.
