The doctor prescribed me Aldara which is a cream to treat genital warts. I was told to apply it 3 times a week, and Ive been doing it so, until a week ago when I researched all about Aldara and it says to do it twice a week. I am currently in week 8. So The warts are gone.. they were gone on week 4, but now the issue is this. As part of the down part of using Aldara is that it makes your skin go red where you apply it. But what happened now is that it burned off a piece of my skin.
To cure stubborn warts, an OTC topical cream called Vidarox may work better. I had a small group of warts on my genital area for years. I applied this cream for 3 times a day, and after 6 days the warts fell off naturally. I had tried Imiquimod, Aldara and some other creams for a while without seeing improvements. My girlfriend used Imiquimod and got positive results. Maybe, I was not so lucky.
A couple of weeks ago i discovered warts on my genital area at the base of my penis and was diagnosed formally by my dr. I was prescribed imiquimod to be applied 3 days a week but heard apple cider vinegar does a great job of clearing warts. Is it a good idea to apply the imiquimod mon,wed, fri night and apple cider vinegar tues, thurs, saturday nights? Anyone tried this or have any results from either one they would share?
2, Is it useful for me to use Imiquimod with no genital warts? Or does Imiquimod useful to help me clear the hpv virus in three months?
3, I also have an ulcers on my penis a week ago which can be seen when it's wet (it become white), and it disappear after 5 days. I kind of thought it's because of the allergy of Imiquimod. But does herpes appear 3 months after the sex?

I'm 47 and was recently diagnosed with genital warts. I probably had the first one nearly two years ago,I was also going through menopause and honestly did not think much about it. Last January however I noticed more appearing. I never for a moment even thought they were warts until I saw an episode of Girls and the subject was genital warts..I began to panic and scheduled an appt with my nurse practitioner.

After only about 2 weeks of usage almost all symptoms of the warts were gone however I now have perianal psoriasis in its place. That is one of the side-effects of imiquimod and it mainly strikes people whom are genetically prone to having psoriasis.
I cant notice if im seeing any improvement with my genital warts. However, ive developed a ridiculous rash around the application site. which is extremely red and irritated. The rash looks almost like if i ran really fast and slid my knee on a rug, except its around the base of my penis. Its sometimes itchy and i feel as if at sometimes its developing a particular scab. will this redness ever go away?
So I have genital warts obviously caused by HPV. I got the TARO brand Imiquimod cream to remove them. It seems to be working, but now where that portion of the shaft that is being treated makes contact with the scrotum, it's causing what seems to be jock Itch. Is this possible or just an unlucky coincidence?
I finally went to a doctor who looked at it and told me I have genital warts. However all my tests came back negative. I got tested for everything to HPV to HIV to Herpes, it was full panel test. Someone told me it could possible be Molluscum Contagiosum? Any thoughts? And whats the best way to get rid of this? My doctor gave my Imiquimod Cream but it seems to be making it worse

He has just told me as of last night he had contracted genital warts on the base of his penile shaft back in 2010.
He had cryo done and treated with Imiquimod after in 2010, which took care of it, and same treatment again in 2011 for a recurrence in the very same spot treated along with Imiquimod. Last month he wasn't sure if he was getting another occurrence so he used the Imiquimod on the spot for a few days but nothing ever surfaced. Nothing else anomalous has happened since.

I have internal genital warts and am curious if the is any kind of home remedy or perscription oral treatment. I've had the HPV vaccine and I want to do all that I can to help fight it off, but I had it for over two years before I learned I have it.
I have had these genital warts for about 6 month now, I have tried different treatments from freezing to ointments and now I prodocon-25, I have seen dermatologist and urologoists I have the warts on the foreskin and one in the tip next to the urinal hole, the last urologo I saw wants to do circumcision and cut off the one on the tip to do a biopsy
I'am concern about the circumcision because it might spread the virus when cutting the skin,

could he be wrong? there is only one skin tag/wart (so theres no "cluster") and it hasn't changed or grew in over a year. What are the chances of Genital warts returning after successfully using aldara. I have read that since it is an immune booster that it generally has a very lo recurrence rate but i would like to know if my lifestyle has any influence on that. I am a 24 yr old male who stays in very good shape and eats very healthy. I hardly drink alcohol but i occasionally smoke marijuana and would like to know if that has an adverse effect on my situation.
I got my first genital warts about 4 years ago. I had several that popped up and spread pretty rapidly at first (like 6-7 of them) and got them burned off by a doctor. Then I had a second outbreak with several more, and again got them burned off. The doctor then prescribed me with imiquimod in case any others popped up after that.

It's been quite a few years since I was diagnosed with genital warts and the doc prescribed an acid treatment. I worked pretty well and got rid of my warts after about a month. I belive i did get some scar tissue on the underside of my penis near the tip where i was circumsized. I went to a doctor about a month ago to see if i was getting another outbreak but she believed it was just scar tissue but prescribed a cream just in case.
