Imiquimod no prescription

Common Questions and Answers about Imiquimod no prescription

aldara

Avatar n tn This sounds very unpleasant and I'd rather avoid this option. I also brought up the idea of using imiquimod during this post-surgery time to help fight the virus. He said he'd never heard of it, but he's going to write me a prescription. I've seen mixed data on using this for warts in the urethra. Can you please give me some advice for treatment options and suggestions? Thank you very much.
Avatar m tn in the oral imiquimod human trial for cancer they used 25mg, 50mg, 100mg and 200mg. the 25mg oral cap had no sides but no systemic interferon increase while the 50mg had systemic interferon and interferon flu-like sides.
Avatar f tn They are persistent, they do not come or go. We've had them for a year now. They do not seem to be spreading. Diagnosis was acne or rash due to soap but we have ruled those out. The only treatment seems to be 30% hydrogen peroxide. The bumps are itchy. We tried Benzoil peroxide, neosporin and lotrimin with no results. We like to exchange back rubs but its not fun to feel all the bumps and the itching is bothersome. We have a medium distance photo and some pics taken with a digital microscope.
Avatar n tn it's available by prescription. it can be used off label but as you already know it pretty much tanked in the larger studies so it's really not worthwhile.
Avatar n tn The cost of a physician visit, such as to a dermatologist, and the costs of the prescription drugs for genital warts--podofilox (Condylox) or imiquimod (Aldara)--can be high, but vary all over the map from one city to another and among pharmacies. You will get better information than my guess by calling a local dermatologist and a few pharmacies in your area. But my guess is the total cost is way under the one-month insurance premium you cite.
Avatar f tn Sround the same time I had a medium to light grayish discharge that had a fishy odor especially after I showered. I've had no pain in this time. About a week ago I've noticed a slight irritation some itching/slight burning. I also noticed some redness close to my anus that not painful in the least. No painful blisters/open sores/ulcers just some redness on my vagina. I have no problem peeing or pooping either. When I originally went to the doctor last they asked about any new soaps.
Avatar f tn 4) After he told me he said he gave me a prescription, Imiquimod cream 5% to take for 3 days a week till the warts are gone. As of now I only have two, one almost gone. Should I continue the cream for an extra week to be safe do you think? For right now these are my questions. I'm hoping to hear from you guys or my doctor soon. I just really need all the facts to help calm me down.
Avatar n tn I have been to three different doctors, two of whom had no answers for me, the third of which diagnosed me with eczema. The rash starts with clusters of small red bumps, usually on my legs, that get a pale discoloration around them. They become extremely itchy and look like tiny blisters. I have now had them appear on my inner calves, thighs, buttocks, stomach, upper arms, neck, scalp, and groin. I also have several swollen lymph nodes on my neck, which I also consulted a doctor about.
556286 tn?1215557480 When he stood up, the backs of his legs had seeped through his pants. I am extremely worried. No one is taking this seriously, and It looks like it's just getting worse. He is exhaused from the discomfort of the rash and the Naval Hospita (he's retired military) seem to be dragging their feet in diagnosis and treatment... We NEED good advice...
Avatar n tn There are a wide variety of treatments, all of which are designed to eliminate the lesions and kill the virus- these include freezing. laser treatments, and topical therapy with either prescription medications such as imiquimod or over the counter medications such as salacetic acid (the OTC preparations are, typically, less effective than therapy performed in the doctor's office or with prescription meds.
Avatar m tn 45 yo male with no history of medical problems. Go to the gym 5 times a week. 4 weeks ago had a small bump two days after shaving. Showed up near my adams apple. Now have many little bumps and that first one has gotten bigger and looks like a big wart. The smaller ones are strating to get bigger. All are on the left side of my face only. I suspect that they are flat warts. I have a dermatologist appointment in two days.
Avatar m tn (Everything sounds to be at the tip of the penis in the urethra) There used to be some bleeding at the beginning but no matter how many times I went to hospital, I's told that they can't see and blood in my urethra. I got tested for STD's but they were all negative. The girl I've been with for more than six months now has been diagnosed of abnormal pap smear and has been proved that she has HPV. (this of course means I got it too) She has no warts.
Avatar m tn freezing, laser, imiquimod (Aldara, Zyclara), podofilox (Condylox), or sinecatechins (Veregen). It will speed up clearance of the visible, diagnosed warts -- but none of these treatments eradicate HPV or treat nearby infected tissues. Think of genital warts like an iceberg -- the obvious part above water, but 90% invisible below the surface.
Avatar m tn Third, if you really had a wart, most likely the dermatologist would have recognized it as such -- and my guess is that he didn't actually recommend treatment as a suspected wart until you told him you wanted to take no chances. In my opinion, it was a mistake for you to request treatment (if you did) and for the dermatologist to offer or agree to do it. It would have been smarter to wait a couple of weeks and see if the spot evolved into a typical wart.
Avatar n tn Anyhow, I am now dating a different woman and had unprotected sex with her prior to the warts coming out last week. She had no warts present. I spoke with her about this and of course, like me, she was upset, but we have since become more informed. However, I have the following questions because my Doctor is difficult to talk too.
Avatar m tn Hello Drs.- I was diagnosed with HPV warts in June of last year (first noticed them in March or April) and have undergone numerous treatments at with my GP. He has been extremely great with the situation, repeating many of the things you have said here (it's a minor inconvenience, your body will clear it in time). Thus far, I have gone for 9 treatments and will be going for my 10th in a week (the little buggers are dissipating, but keep returning).
Avatar f tn Is there any benefit to this and/or is it a no no, to continue treating an area where there is no wart present anymore?
Avatar n tn Scraping the lesions away (less painful than it sounds), freezing, and sometimes a prescription for imiquimod (Aldara) are standard treatments. If you have ready access to a dermatologist, you can be sure of expert care. Or visit your local health department STD clinic.
Avatar m tn She then refilled my prescription for Aldara, which I know works when applied properly. However, I have no insurance and the medication for one month is 560.00 which is worth it for two months if it kills the warts forever and the virus causing them. I found, online, a medication called Wartrol which is supposed to attack the virus and show results within 48 hours and is significantly cheaper. Could you please check out this link and let me know what you would advise me to do?

Avatar m tn does it make any sense to try this vaccine during pegintf or for those with very low hbsag levels with monthly injections in a skin area previously treated with imiquimod (with also zadaxin added for the lucky ones who has it), the vaccine seems inexpensive and if it makes no harm it would be a good try are there any trials on these new hbv vaccines in combo with peg intf and zadaxin, i couldn t find any?
1346294 tn?1300181539 salicyclic acid can work on warts...............i don't think i should use it without the prescription of a doctor. HELP ME............GIVE ME A SOLUTION................WHAT SHOULD I DO...............I WANT MY FACE TO BE CLEAN, AS IT WAS 4 YEARS AGO.
Avatar m tn 3) Other treatments are available. Ask your dermatologist about a prescription for imiquimod (trade name Aldara). Or ask himn to show you how to treat new lesions yourself, by pricking the top with a sterile needle then pressing out the white core just as you would with a pimple. (We often teach this to patients this in my STD clinic.) Wash your hands and the genital area after treating lesions in this way, to avoid spreading the virus around.
Avatar m tn i can do it whatever timepoint now even with no prescription, it is just 7-10€ cost test and can also try higher dosages since no sides in case of furthur decline what would you suggest monthly test or every 15 days?
Avatar m tn Since I went back from the doc's office I started reading about Viread and I'm scared of it's possible side effects. I'll definitely wait I have the virus since birth and my liver still works good so there's no rush I guess.
Avatar f tn Hi, No I would not diagnose a skin disorder myself either, I did see a dermatologist over a month ago, she did a biopsy on the first lesion and it came back positive for BCC. The prescription she gave me is for Imiquimod Cream 5%, it worked great with my first lesion, which is very small right now and slowly fading.
Avatar n tn Hi, There is no single treatment for warts that is 100% effective and different types of treatment may be combined. You should consult a skin specialist for the symptoms. If these are plane warts - you would benefit by using salicylic acid cream, cryotherapy, curettage and light cautery. If these are filiform warts - cryotherapy or curettage and light cautery would help. Facial warts should not be treated with wart paints because of the risk of severe irritation and possible scarring.
Avatar m tn -my age -I have severe fibrosis saying inf can cause liver damage and decompensation -caucasion -he has no clinical evidence that it will work with someone so low as 16IU. Says surface antigen needs to be around 500IU/ML for it to work -it is dangerous to take -my ALT and AST are too normal; would prefer them elevated I feel very low now and cannot understand why he cant at least try it for a few months at least. My question to my learned friends is what can I do now?
Avatar f tn did not work for me, i gave it 3 months and it just kept irritating my skin with no results of wart removal. Wartol is just a scam and a half i tried that to for two months (i know your supposd to give these things more time) but i saw no sign of results. Plus the wartol people wanted to give me lifetime for free for an extra 50 bux when i just bought two months. And they offered 6 months for the price of 4.
Avatar m tn Does it related to HBVDNA level?
