hysterectomy complications bleeding

since then i have had problems and now im bleeding vaginally which i shouldnt be considering i dont have a period from a hysterectomy. i told my doctor and she said it was from irritation where my ovary was removed but the bleeding went from spotting to a light period. what should i do?

Hi- Just wondering if anyone out there had any complications post total hysterectomy? I had mine 3 months ago due to several cysts again! Paternal grandma died of ovarian cancer at age 50. I had 15 years of cysts, and a total of 8 laporosopies. I am not even 40 yet! Any how, at my 8 wk check up my oncologist said everything was fine, no infection, no cancer, etc., I can try having sex with my husband. We did everything was fine.

Please, please, please do not just rush into a hysterectomy! I was forced into one at the age of 27 and my life has never been the same since. For one I almost died from the sugery and for two, there is a very long list of major complications/illness' that come with a hysterectomy. Some doctor's push for a hysterectomy because they make good money from them and will continue making more money off of you, because of the side affects and complications.

Had hysterectomy april 26th and bleeding daily till it turned bright red doc said would need to schedule another surgery to re-stitch vagina cuff. Had re-stitch June 7 with yellow discharge doc said was normal and at 5 week appt said all looked ok.. Next day started bleeding bright red & doc gone on vacation. Saw another doc who said didn't see where blood could be coming from & shouldn't bleed anymore. Wrong, still bleeding 7 days later.. Took pics to show doc it was bright red.

Has anyone had their hysterectomy by robotics? Im having the robotics hysterectomy on Dec. 30 and was wondering how the recovery has been for someone who has that type of surgery.

Was told three years ago I was in menopause, have not had a menstrual cycle in three years. Started bleeding a couple of days ago, doctor requested an ultra sound. Ultrasound shows varicose veins through out my pelvic area along with a small polyp and one small fibroid tumor. My endometrial wall is 10mm and one of my ovaries could not be seen. I was told that all went well and i went home 2 hours after the procedure. I suffered from cramping and slight bleeding and all seemed well. the next evening i did not feel well so i went to bed. about an hour later my husband checked on me to find me shivering with a really high temperature. i ended up being rushed into hospital that same night and doctors diagnosed me with streptococcal septicemia. Help!!! I have history of many prior abdominal surgeries, and then a hyst, and now I am told I have adhesions due to many pelvic surgeries. History of PCOD BAD! Endometriosis, hysterectomy in 05'. Now my stomach feels like it is on fire, I have to burp and pass gas alot. Could adhesions be causing this? What could this be? Most people actually do have complications with an abdominal cut hysterectomy, and laporoscopy.

It is likely to be just a coincidence that you have developed symptoms post your hysterectomy. Diabetes is a chronic disease and complications are unlikely to develop over a few weeks or months and alternative possibilities to the cause of your symptoms may need to be considered. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a primary care physician initially and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought. The bleeding is'nt normal so yes, you should get into see your Dr as soon as possible.

My gyn wants me to see a gyn oncologist however he stated he is not concerned with cancer but that I may need to have a hysterectomy due to fibroids, retrovert uterus, and heavy bleeding. Then why does it say only slightly enlarged? He gave me the CA125 too which was 31. Why would he get that test if nothing?n So am very confused and looking for answers to ease my mind. I did some reading on it, too. It seems that it destroys your lining, permanently. It is performed in lieu of a hysterectomy on women that have such horrible bleeding, uterine removal is considered. It is not a procedure that would be performed if you planned on having children, ever. The lady that is 10wks pg that posted could have serious complications, she is correct. It's pretty amazing that the egg implanted.
