725741 tn?1245086607 wow we have something in common Im getting pimples since my hysterectomy too, Your not having pms symptoms your having post hysterectomy symptoms...very similar..I use Sea Breeze an alcolol based ski cleaner with a cotton ball solved my problem. Very very often for reasons unknown the uterus removal effects ovarian function by decreasing it.
Avatar f tn Help!!! I have history of many prior abdominal surgeries, and then a hyst, and now I am told I have adhesions due to many pelvic surgeries. History of PCOD BAD! Endometriosis, hysterectomy in 05'. Now my stomach feels like it is on fire, I have to burp and pass gas alot. Could adhesions be causing this? What could this be? I don't know if a surgeon or any dr will treat me, as I dont have any insurance, and dont have SSI or Medicaid yet. Can these adhesions be life threatening?
Avatar f tn It is likely to be just a coincidence that you have developed symptoms post your hysterectomy. Diabetes is a chronic disease and complications are unlikely to develop over a few weeks or months and alternative possibilities to the cause of your symptoms may need to be considered. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a primary care physician initially and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought. Hope this is helpful.

Avatar f tn PVH-Partial Vaginal Hysterectomy, even abdominal procedure, still the risk factors and complications remain more or less the same. Post surgical complications are pain, bleeding, infection.Other side effects of surgery are Hormonal changes (preserved ovaries?) estrogen imbalance, decreased testosterone-finally emotional changes of mood swings-Increased risk of cardiovascular and skeletomuscular diseases.
Avatar f tn i was hospitalized the next day for complications from hernia surgery. since then i have had problems and now im bleeding vaginally which i shouldnt be considering i dont have a period from a hysterectomy. i told my doctor and she said it was from irritation where my ovary was removed but the bleeding went from spotting to a light period. what should i do?

Fast forward toady 4/7/09 Follow up CT with contrast "slight enlargement in the septated collection in the right side of the pelvic cavity and I do not see evidence of acute inflammatory change around this abnormality and this my represent residue from a recent surgical collection. Avatar f tn Hi- Just wondering if anyone out there had any complications post total hysterectomy? I had mine 3 months ago due to several cysts again! Paternal grandma died of ovarian cancer at age 50. I had 15 years of cysts, and a total of 8 laporosopies. I am not even 40 yet! Any how, at my 8 wk check up my oncologist said everything was fine, no infection, no cancer, etc., I can try having sex with my husband. We did everything was fine.
Avatar m tn I had a salpingo oopherectomy on both sides, a hysterectomy as well as a appendectomy on February 5th 2013. I am 27 years old. Since the procedure was done I have had severe lower abdominal pain while urinating. I have been very sick. Does anyone have an idea of what this pain is from?
Avatar f tn Most people actually do have complications with an abdominal cut hysterectomy, and laporoscopy.
Avatar n tn I have been experiencing severe pain and discomfort from a combination of ovarian cysts and fibroids for 3 years now. I was treated with birth controls pills and then steroids and nothing has worked. I just got back the results of my most recent ultrasound. I have 2 cysts on an ovary and 2 fibroids. The doctor has talked to me about a myomectomy option vs. hysterectomy for the fibroid removal. I don't know which way to go on this.
Avatar n tn hi all, just wanted a bit of advice. i am 26 and due to child birth complications i had to have an hysterectomy when i was 23. i have been wiv my partner for 9yrs and made a stupid mistake 3yrs ago. i had unprotected sex with a guy a few times and am now worried about stds. i know its my own fault but we all make mistakes. neither of us r showin any symptoms although i know this is possible.
10905170 tn?1414131788 Women who have endometriosis and have their ovaries removed at the time of hysterectomy sometimes report the symptoms you are experiencing. The likely reason in this scenario is that any remaining endo implants produce estrogen which is why they say that hysterectomy is not a cure for endo.
Avatar m tn i ended up having an emergency bowel repair and also a full hysterectomy, I have finally recovered but i am still waiting for answers from my surgeon. She did say that she thinks its because i had a c section and it caused an area of my womb to be thin and it was not noticed.
Avatar f tn I am 35 and recently undergone hysterectomy operation and two ovaries are left. The cause for this is uterine fibroid and a nabothian cyst in the uretus and right hydrosalpingitis. My Dr. told me if I want to keep my uterus, i need to undergo surgery of uterus removal after some time. Hence, I requested her to remove uterus as I had already undergone caesarian. Now, I am afraid will I need any hormonal tests ? How do I survive ? Will I get a menopause or any side effects.
482924 tn?1333203671 Please, please, please do not just rush into a hysterectomy! I was forced into one at the age of 27 and my life has never been the same since. For one I almost died from the sugery and for two, there is a very long list of major complications/illness' that come with a hysterectomy. Some doctor's push for a hysterectomy because they make good money from them and will continue making more money off of you, because of the side affects and complications.
1053613 tn?1255987994 Has anyone had their hysterectomy by robotics? Im having the robotics hysterectomy on Dec. 30 and was wondering how the recovery has been for someone who has that type of surgery.
2012515 tn?1353875525 Hello to All, I want to ask if anyone here has had to have a hysterectomy during/with having MS symptoms and if symptoms get worse or what? I'm in limbo still and I do not have my MS specialist appt until June 20th so I thought I would ask you wonderful ones instead of calling Neuro. The reason I ask is because for the last week I have been having pain in uterus/ovaries so yesterday I went to OBGYN doctor, mind you that I had my year ck up and pap in Dec.
Avatar f tn I have a couple of questions to ask you wise women of the ovarian cyst community. I have been scheduled to have surgery on April 12 to have my rt ovary (with attached 4.8 cm cyst) and fallopian tube removed. At the same time the doctor will also perform an ablation (sp?) due to a uterine polyp and subsequent crazy periods.
Avatar f tn I also am a RN and I find it appauling that the surgeon handled your hysterectomy in that way. I am curious about your age and have you had children yet because surely the MD should have taken that into condsideration and discussed that issue with your husband as well. I also am not sure about the laws for informed consent when a procedure is heading a different direction; I assume the MD was within the bounds of the law by calling your husband?
15946915 tn?1444173614 I had a hysterectomy Nov.2013 in which I also had a large non cancerous tumor removed at the same time.. I did not have my ovaries removed as they were ok. Then 10 days after my surgery, I had complications, as my bowel twisted and I had to have emergency surgery to have part of my bowel removed. I almost died, but I am lucky and I feel not too bad for the most part, but I am now having problems with my estrogen. It is very very low which I expected after having my 1st operation.
Avatar f tn either an hysterectomy/bilateral oopherectomy or hormonal therapy (Lupron for a few months, add-back therapy and then the pill). I'm nearly 47 and fertility is not an issue, but the surgical option still strikes me as a bit drastic for a number of reasons, among them sudden menopause, possible complications from the surgery, and the long recovery time (I also have fibroids and LAVH may not be possible if my uterus is too large).
Avatar f tn I HAD HYSTERECTOMY THREE WEKS AGO, I JUST HAD INTERCOURSE WITH MY HUSBAND EVEN THOU HE WAS REAL CAREFUL, AFTER HE CAME IN ME I FELT LIKE I WAS SWOLLEN AND IN PAIN, IS THIS NORMAL, CAUSE THE DR SAID NO SEX FOR 8 WEEKS AND WE ONLY EAITED 4, QUESTION CAN THER BE A FATAL COMPLICATIONS AFTER THIS.
