hysterectomy complications tummy tuck

My OBGYN, who was insulted that I had the tummy tuck done at the same time as his hysterectomy, said it is not from the hysterectomy and that a Tummy Tuck can cause long term pain. Is this true, is there anything I can do?

I have had CTScans and ultrasounds and nothing shows up.)I have lost 20 lbs since the tummy tuck and my waist is bigger than it was before the tummy tuck! I can't wear anything except lose baggy clothing. Anyone else out there that has had this happen? I hope not, I wouldn't wish this on anyone!

I had a full tummy tuck in August of 2008....some complications followed with drainage, and I had to be aspirated about 7 times with a needle. It has now been a year and I am left with a huge bulge just above the belly button. It is hideous, and my doctor says he does not know what it is and he has never run across this type of probelm. He says he needs to consult some colleagues about this. What could it be, and what should I do??

unfourtunalty it seems to come with the surgery,,most gain an adverage of 20 lbs in a years time and seem to maintain that, all I can suggest is speak with your Dr about a exercise routine, what diet may work best for your metabolism ( a endocrinologist may be best for this as they can measure all hormones) last resort if you have the money and it really bothers you would be cosmetic surgery such as lipo or a tummy tuck do NOT do this with out several consults and certanity nothing else will

I had a tummy tuck a year and half before getting pregnant. ..I'm 30 weeks and I carry very small looks like I'm maybe 5 mos...two questions....do you think its because of the tummy tuck that I'm small? Do you think my stomach will go back small?...either way baby is healthy. ..

I had a tummy tuck 3 wks ago, and although my incision and navel are dry and well heal, i have a sharp pain in the left side of my incision. It is not a constant pain, but happens when i walk and its very uncomfortable. my apt is dam, cold and humid. my mother says this could be the reason. anything to worry about ? my doctor said to take motrin 600mg.

i am 4wks. post tummy tuck, my belly button is red, but when i do not wear my binder the reddness gets lighter. it seems like the air from not wearing the binder helps it. i am putting bacitracin on the area. the md said i can leave off the binder for approx. 8hrs., then put it back on. i really do not want to wear the binder anymore. any suggestions will help, thank you. hbrand@ aol.

how much does a tummy tuck cost? can you have one after having 3 c-sections and cut vertical with all 3 of them? I have also had gull blatter surgery and my tubes tied. My last procedure was about 2 years ago. I have bad belly flab from my babies. I have had 4 babies. I have really bad stretch marks too. My best friend had a tummy tuck by a doctor who was horrible a year ago. She has since had repeated issues with her belly button. He left stitches in there and they are slowly but surely trying to make there way out. Her belly button is not very irritated & infected not to mention she is now getting blisters all around her belly button due to all the liquid. She went to the ER because of the pain this is causing her but no doctor will perform surgery on her due to the liability.

I have never seen a tummy tuck done this way. i have never seen pictures of tummy tucks done by him, done this way. it looks worse that before i even got the tummy tuck. now that the swelling is goin down, i am forming a wrinkle (line) from my belly buttom up. i look horrible. is there a way were i can make him do it over without him charging me any more money? or will some other doctor be willing to help me?

I have not put on any extra weight since surgery.I am so frustrated because at times it hurts like a pulling feeling. t have insurance. Although from my understanding, the insurance cos. consider it to be cosmetic surgery (tummy tuck) so i hear they don't cover it most of the time anyway. And that doesn't make a bit of sense to me. I may end up with a flatter stomach because my muscles are sewn back together but who cares how flat your stomach is if you have a scar from stem to stern?!

Hi, I have a horizontal scar under my bellybutton that bothers me. It's not the scar thats the problem so much as the fat that sticks out above it, between the scar and the belly button. I'm otherwise lean and not fat at all. A few doctors have told me a mini tummy tuck would be able to move the scar lower, so it could hide under a bikini, and others have told me a simple scar revision would work and that I don't have enough excess skin for a mini tummy tuck.
