metrogel

Avatar f tn I have seen improvement but am still not 100 percent clear, about 98 percent clear I would say. How long do I need to continue to use the metrogel to keep the dermatitis away for good? 2 months? Not sure how long I should use it. Also, I was on doxycycline however it upsets my stomach (with or without food) so I have to call my doctor on monday to try a different antibiotic. Anything you reccomend as far as an antibiotic?
Avatar f tn Now that my eye is clear, how long do I continue to use metrogel to keep the periocular dermatitis away? 30 days, 60 days? I really want to avoid it coming back.
Avatar f tn I've been using metrogel for a few months now for a place on my cheek. It's finally clearing up, but my entire face was scratched up today, including the area I typically treat with metrogel. Is the metrogel safe to use on fresh scratches and sores to continue treatment. If so, would it be good to also put the metrogel on my entire face to help with all the scratch marks?
Avatar f tn It wouldn't particularly hurt to re-treat the yeast, once you finish the full run of the metro gel.
Avatar f tn The NP precribed metrogel for 5 days at bedtime. I havent found the courage to take it yet, because its inserted vaginally. The warning states its a category B and can be passed through the placenta. Has anyone else taken metrogel during their pregnancy? If so wad everything ok?
Avatar f tn I thought you could only take metrogel instead of flagyl while pregnant. I think i read that.

Avatar m tn I was tested positive for HIV this February. I have been an occasional user of MDMA via syringe. I tested negative for Hepatitis B and C. During the first week of June, I suddenly came down with a fever which wouldn't go away. Later the doctors found a lesion on my liver, for which I was treated with Metronidazole (Metrogel) injections, and later metrogel tablets. Recent CT scan shows "a cystic lesion on the liver, measuring 4x3.5 cms with a smooth enhancing wall seen in segment IV.

Avatar f tn The doctor now prescribed Doxycyline for 1 month and Metrogel 1%. There has been improvement, but very slowly with 2 flare ups so far. Avatar f tn m asking because I have recurrent bacterial vaginosis infections - i have tried metrogel, flagyll tindamax, clindesse, i have it again.. I bought plain yogurt and mixed it with acidophillous powder and inserting it using a metrogel applicator at night, I always wear a liner because of bv anyway, but there is a LOT of discharge. Avatar f tn When I get out of the shower or overheated, I have a pink spot on the skin just above my upper lip, touching the lip line. It's approx. 2 cm long by 1/4th cm high. There's also a tingling sensation at times. The skin there looks slightly different but I'm 62 and have had age spots burned off in my hairline, etc. I am female, never smoked, don't drink and have never had a cold sore or tested positive for HPV. I do not sunbathe but grew up in the south.
Avatar f tn t use Metrogel. So my doctor has now prescribed Cipro. But how would either one help with the vaginosis? And as for the bladder infection, couldn't I just take one because they both treat UTIs?
Avatar f tn Hi everyone...Recently I have been having several problems with the skin on my face. Up until about a year ago I had absolutely flawless skin. I'm 22 years old and live in Florida and used to go tanning alot but stopped about a year and a half ago. It started when I went on the birth control-nuva ring for ovarian cysts about 5 months ago and recently changed to yaz and have seen no difference.
Avatar f tn Also, she was on Metrogel and she was allergic to it and it gave her second degree burns. She has healed from that but wonders if there are any prolonged affects of a problem like that. Lastly, she was on a steroid (diprolene) for years for the face (lupus). After the bad burns from the Metrogel, and it healed the dermatologist took her off of the steroid cold turkey and said to just use certain creams until the breakouts from the steroid went away.
Avatar n tn I have been treated in the past with dry ice treatmtents. Recently I have been prescribed Minocin, and Metrogel. The metrogel seems to burn my skin. Does laser work for Rosacea? It is $1,800 for the treatment. I am 54 years old and recently had my thyroid removed due to cancer. Could my Synthroid meds be aggravating this condition. Could these blisters be facial herpes, shingles. I have had this for about 6 months. I can't get into a dermatologist until September. Help!

493068 tn?1224765315 During tx I developed intermittent rosacea-like dry, red patches at the base of each nostril. This has continued to show up since I finished tx (Jan. '05). My outbreaks occur on an average of one to two per month. I chalk it up as one of the many changes that have taken place to my immune system as a result of tx'ing (slightly sub-normal red counts and low/normal white counts being amoung some of the others).
Avatar n tn No temporary cure the best is the latest Clindesse 2% vaginal cream, single dose x 1 and that's it. Other options metrogel x 5 days, or po flagyl.
