Just read a bit about it. It seems to be one of a new class of drugs that began in Europe that are basically looking at melatonin rather the usual suspects. But melatonin will only work well if the problem is your Circadian rhythms are off -- if your sleep problem is from another cause, this might not work. One thing about using melatonin is the dose -- most people take too much, thinking more is better.

If not, after the first 3 nights of not sleeping I would have been in the hospital because I felt like I was going crazy. Rozerem did not work as fast at nite and I did wake up and was sleepy in the morning. My brother in law takes it. He seems to like it. But hes also not an addict of any sort. Ambien CR is scary. When it starts to work I felt like I was paralized. I was awake but could not move my body. I wouldnt have been able to get up if I was on fire. Good luck to you.
There are a variety of options as regards medications that are sleep aides but some can't be taken everyday because a person can build up a tolerance to them. Natural remedies generally don't work. One good option you could ask your psychiatrist about is the medication Rozerem which works to adjust the sleep cycle and is safe and non addictive. There are other options as well but that's one worth asking about. Also it might be a simple matter of timing.
work the opposite just as benadryl does for me, but I am terrified of getting TD or dystonia from the trazadone. How great is the risk? My Dr. told me that in 38 yrs. she has never seen anyone get TD from it & that 50 mg. is a low dose, however it is a possibility, although not as much as psychotropic drugs are. I will need to taper slowly off the trazadone if I stop it after being on it so long. I honestly don't know what else may work for me.
Has anyone tried taking rozerem to help sleep when tapering? I tried Abien a few years ago and it wired me all night. Last night, I took ,1 clonidine and 2 soma and I just knew that would put me to sleep and all it did was give me a big buzz and i was wired for a few hours.
I know I just need some sleep!
Hello! Melatonin does not help me. Zaleplon helps to sleep, but it can not be taken for a long time, since it causes dependence. Diagnosis: chronic insomnia with anxiety disorder. I take escitalopram in the morning. Can Rozerem replace Zaleplon?
Can anyone let me know if Rozerem 8mg (RX sleep aid) and Prozac 20 mg (antidepressant) are safe to take with methadone (15mg daily) I am detoxing after 15 years on MMT and have slowly "tapered" my dose from 60mg daily to 15mg daily. I am having some insomnia & depression/antiety issues related to my husband being on the waiting list for a liver transplant. Just want to make sure i'm not gonna "croak" if I take the other meds.

Trazodone or Rozerem but, in the end, none of them are a solution to insomnia because they don;t work well in the short term and stop working in the long-term. CBT is the only permanent, effective solution.

30pm sinemet uses low dosage because it looks like impact her falling into sleep even with Rozerem. She used to be able to fall into sleep quickly when took 25/100, but cannot for increased dosage). The strangest is motion:

He is not focusing or completing school work at home or in school. He also does not follow through on tasks as simple as using his seatbelt which was never a problem before. He has always been easily and inappropriately easily frustrated but no manic highs and lows but our new Dr says he is disregulated and prebipolar and that we should stick with this. He failed his first test recently since being on this drug?????? Help? Is this unheard of as a side effect?
Im thinking I should get off of the rozerem and see how i feel, but then I am back to not sleeping. I am getting more depressed and hopeless that this will never go away. Every other med the doctors talk about putting me on for sleep or depression also carries with it the risk of akathisia or dyskinisia. The neurologist mentioned klonipin as an option to try if the xanax was not effective.
I have chronic insomnia amid anxiety disorder. Can I use Rozerem at a dosage of 16 mg if 8 mg will not help?
