rozerem

603015 tn?1329862973 My husband doesnt help as he just tells me to take it everynight so he can sleep and says stuff like, you have work tomorrow or some other lame excuse. I think he likes me taking them, then he can sleep and he is also scared of what the docs have said about it being a trigger or a symptom but I dont like taking them, I want to fall asleep on my own.
Avatar m tn One good option you could ask your psychiatrist about is the medication Rozerem which works to adjust the sleep cycle and is safe and non addictive. There are other options as well but that's one worth asking about. Also it might be a simple matter of timing. If a medication keeps you awake at night you could ask your psychiatrist if you could take it earlier in the day and see if that helps. Discuss all this with them and see what they say.
Avatar f tn Thank you for your responses Paxiled and GettingOlder. Paxiled you sound extremely knowledgeable when it comes to different medication. My goal is to NOT to be on any drug. I am tapering off Lexapro after 6 weeks and I noticed it helps me fall asleep but does not give me the deep REM sleep that we all long for. It gives me a calming effect but overall don't like all the side effects it gave me. Before I got on Lexapro, I took Clonazepam occasionally.
Avatar m tn However, there is no known interaction between rozerem and sertraline. You could try and adopt good sleep hygiene measures like going to bed at the same time, waking up at the same time, avoidance of alcohol, smoking and caffeinated beverages. Try and maintain a warm, comfortable bedroom environment and engage in relaxing activities like a warm bath before bed time. Hope This Helped and Do Keep Us Posted.
Avatar f tn Hello! Which sleeping pill is stronger, Belsomra or Rozerem? I take 2 tablets of Belsomra at night for 20 mg plus 2 tablets of Donormil. Should I try Rozerem?
Avatar m tn How effective is Zopiclone as a sleeping aid?Is it effective?.
985832 tn?1249126599 If you have disrupted sleep you might want to undergo a sleep test.
994257 tn?1266242692 I know since I had trouble falling asleep in addition to sleep disruption I was prescribed the sleep aide Rozerem which is non addictive and actually adjusts the sleep cycle like melatonin but I don't know if it would be prescribed for sleep disruption but you could ask your psychiatrist.
Avatar f tn Nurse presc. Rozerem for my sleep problem. Taking xanax 4 times daily .25mg. Has anyone taken this sleep aid with success or was it bad? Any replies good or bad PLEASE! She pres.
Avatar f tn Hello! Melatonin does not help me. Zaleplon helps to sleep, but it can not be taken for a long time, since it causes dependence. Diagnosis: chronic insomnia with anxiety disorder. I take escitalopram in the morning. Can Rozerem replace Zaleplon?
Avatar n tn it might sound really silly, but trust me it does work on helping you get to sleep, also try not to drink anything for an hour before you go to bed esp caffine. i hope this helps, not being able to sleep is horrible, i know, but hopfully we will over come the problem!!
Avatar n tn 30pm sinemet uses low dosage because it looks like impact her falling into sleep even with Rozerem. She used to be able to fall into sleep quickly when took 25/100, but cannot for increased dosage). The strangest is motion: In morning, right after get up but BEFORE sinemet, her walking is steady, no difficult stepping out, speed is slow but ok, no sign of dyskinesia (or not noticeable) Around 1.
Avatar m tn I started taking Trazadone for sleep and it is giving me headaches. I cut it from 150 mg to 75 mg and that helped some. Will the headaches eventually go away?
Avatar f tn Ambien did absoutley nothing for me. Benadryl can sometimes have the opposite effect on me and have me tossing and turning when I take more than 50 mg.'s. Since I am already taking a benzodiazepine I don't want to take another.
1116728 tn?1276797124 It makes me groggy for part of the next day (how long depends on how much I needed to take) but it does work very well to help me sleep unless I am in a severe manic episode. (Thankfully not often.) Hope this helps for you!
Avatar n tn Ambien does have that potential side effect and people can build up a tolerance to it. You could ask your psychiatrist about Rozerem which is an FDA approved sleep aide that is safe and non addictive and works like melatonin to adjust the sleep cycle.
Avatar f tn The sleep induced by them resembles natural sleep. Ramelteon (Rozerem) has shown to reduce the time until sleep occurs. It may be more useful for people who mainly have trouble falling to sleep and less effective for patients who routinely stay awake during the night. It is also believed to be non addicting and may not impair motor functions. The data comparing their efficacy is limited and few head to head trials have taken place. More comparative data is needed for complete analysis.
Avatar n tn Is anyone familiar with this I just got a prescription because of an inability to sleep and she said it is not habit forming?
Avatar f tn Hi, Thanks to both of you for your responses. I 've tried Paxil, Luvox and Prozac and Zoloft . The Remeron worked well for just one day, the next couple of days, it does not help me to sleep any more - this is at 15mg. I'm still on Klonopin for panic attack.Yes, I am fearful that I may depend on it for sleep and needing to up the dosage.
Avatar f tn I'm new here as well however why didn't you take subutex or suboxone for a week or so and avoid any wd/sleep problems? I know it's kind of expensive but it's very effective leaving even the most addicted people free of any discomfort. This is only for opiates and not benzos though. Congrats on your progress and take care...
Avatar f tn s in the long run but the effect can be masked while it is occuring and should not be given for assistance with sleeping for this reason. Lunesta and Rozerem are known sleep aides that are safe and effective and can be taken every day especially Rozerem which is derived from Melatonin and helps regulate the sleep cycle.
Avatar f tn I am very sensitive to most psych meds. Currently taking Celexa 1mg daily, lamictal 12.5mg daily and seroquel 50 mg at bedtime to help me sleep. I've had problems with getting to sleep and staying asleep for several years. How long can I continue to take seroquel for sleep? Sometimes it works and sometimes not.
Avatar f tn Like I keep saying, I am used to it. It does not bother me to get little sleep. I do go on stretches of going on 36hrs with no sleep, than I sleep for about 3hrs, but that is it. I either watch TV or listen to music, or if I am bymyself, clean house or do laundry.
Avatar f tn I haven't slept thru the night in at lest 6 months. Before That, I go thru the same boughts. I awake around 3:00 every morning, wide awake. Go to bed about 11:00, sometimes earlier. No naps when I'm not really depressed in a bad way. I have tried Trazadone, Ambien and Lunesta in the past years. They all keep me awake and once I finally sleep I'm up in the middle of the night wide awake. Any suggestions on a pill to keep me asleep that I can ask my pdoc to try.
Avatar m tn This will just cause unnecessary damage to your liver. Tylenol does make a sleep aid that does not actually contain acetaminophen, only diphenhydramine (Benadryl), which is what's making you sleepy when you take these meds. You can also find generic versions of Benadryl sleep aids at most drug stores. However, as the med labels will tell you, if you are still having trouble sleeping after taking these meds for 7-10 days, then you really need to see your Dr.
