How effective is Zopiclone as a sleeping aid?Is it effective?.
Can anyone let me know if Rozerem 8mg (RX sleep aid) and Prozac 20 mg (antidepressant) are safe to take with methadone (15mg daily) I am detoxing after 15 years on MMT and have slowly "tapered" my dose from 60mg daily to 15mg daily. I am having some insomnia & depression/antiety issues related to my husband being on the waiting list for a liver transplant. Just want to make sure i'm not gonna "croak" if I take the other meds.
If you are not taking it for depression but as a sleep aid you might want to ask your psychiatrist about the two I mentioned. This link is from a psychiatric journal and lists all known medications that can cause tardive dyskinesia and Trazadone is clearly listed as one. A person I was in communication with did develop tardive dyskinesia from Tradazone in fact.

One good option you could ask your psychiatrist about is the medication Rozerem which works to adjust the sleep cycle and is safe and non addictive. There are other options as well but that's one worth asking about. Also it might be a simple matter of timing. If a medication keeps you awake at night you could ask your psychiatrist if you could take it earlier in the day and see if that helps. Discuss all this with them and see what they say.
Has anyone tried taking rozerem to help sleep when tapering? I tried Abien a few years ago and it wired me all night. Last night, I took ,1 clonidine and 2 soma and I just knew that would put me to sleep and all it did was give me a big buzz and i was wired for a few hours.
I know I just need some sleep!
I have been on Rozerem for several years now as a sleep aid and it seems to help. I still have bouts of imsomnia every two to three weeks, but on the other hand, I don't need to take my Rozerem ]
every night -- if I'm really tired, I will fall asleep pretty fast. I am always in bed by 9 or 9:30 because I have to get up early work.
Hello! Which sleeping pill is stronger, Belsomra or Rozerem? I take 2 tablets of Belsomra at night for 20 mg plus 2 tablets of Donormil. Should I try Rozerem?
I have located this presecription sleep aid on the internet and it's suppose to be very safe, and is not habit forming, and also can be used for long term. I wonder if anyone has every tried it. And if it helped?
However, there is no known interaction between rozerem and sertraline. You could try and adopt good sleep hygiene measures like going to bed at the same time, waking up at the same time, avoidance of alcohol, smoking and caffeinated beverages. Try and maintain a warm, comfortable bedroom environment and engage in relaxing activities like a warm bath before bed time.

My concern would be taking any sleep med without knowing why your sleep is problematic. For instance, if you would happen to have sleep apnea, sleep medications can not only camouflage it, but also worsen it.
You've got the entire rest of your life to need good sleep. Becoming dependent on any med that warns to use only short term is a recipe for trouble. Besides dependence, many meds become less effective over time.
I never would have though of that and I have done alot of reading on various sleep disorders. I think I have delayed sleep onset. I cannot sleep when the rest of the world is sleeping. If I am left to my own schedule (fall asleep 6a-8a sleep until 2pm) I sleep fine. It is very lonely to be only one awake but I am used to it. In my case my sleeping difficulties have not been present for 3 months, 6 months but for many years.
I just switched to 3rd shift and I'm finding it difficult to sleep enough during the day. Is there a sleep aid that I can safely take while pregnant. I'm currently 14 weeks if that makes any difference.
