Psoriasis can appear anywhere on the uman body. Depending on how bad the area is, and how built of the skin cells are, psoriasis can be non-painful but usually it has some sort of discomfort associated with it. If it is on the genitals, it can be painless and usually it can be easily diagnosed because genital psoriaisis tends to shed the built up skin quickly. If you do not have built up patchy skin on the genitals than more than likely it is eczema. However, psoriasis tends to itch.
my son has severe plaque psoriasis. he is on medicare and dovonex is not covered. What other medicine can he use and is there any financial assistance.?
Ive been using nizoral shampoo every other day on the infected area and for the first 2 weeks was using lamisil or canensten cream (anitfungal). However the last doctor i went to prescribed me DOVONEX (calciptotriol). Ive done some research on what it is, and there is no link between Psoriasis(which is what dovonex is used for) and Pytriaisis Versicolor or even Tinea Versicolor, or any other fungal infections for that matter.
Hi, I am really really concerned about a burn scar which I have on my left hand. I burned my hand with hot wax in a little area about a size of a quarter about 6 months ago. Now I have a white scar on that area. I've been to a dermatologist and they prescribed me Dovonex and Vectical ointment. I've been using Dovonex and now I'm using Vectical. The dermatologist told me I should keep putting the ointment on before I think of doing something else.
I have been switched to Dovonex for the treatment of psoriasis, but experienced achey joints and hormonal fluctuations after prolonged use of Desonide (0.05%). I was wondering if this is just a coincidence (that I am just naturally predisposed to having thyroid problems) or if I misused the ointment.
They are suppose to strip my membranes how does that work? Does it hurt.

I know it checks for antibodies and I know there are antigens on the test. My question is how do they create the antigens?Do they create a whole virus and then pull the antigen out of it? Where on the test are these antigens located? Are they on the T line? I have many fears regarding hiv but one of them is this test!
