My Daughter follows everything there has to do with horses and the Kentucky Derby IS the Ultimate! ((BTW, living in the 70's with that Son of Sam on the loose was very frightening .... I grew up near where he was being hunted down).
a horse kicked me in my thigh 2 weeks ago , iwent to the hospital to get it checked i had an exray and there were no fractures.
I get them pretty bad. Especially at night. I started eating a banana in the morning and then 1 before bed and that seems to help some. I think my restless leg is what brings them on still but like I said it's been a little better since the bananas.
I'm 35+5 and two nights ago I woke up with the worst charlie horse . And my leg is still aching from well more like my calf muscle . only in my right leg.
I'm 29 weeks prego and this morning while stretching in bed I got a charlie horse in my left leg. Oh my gosh it was the most painful experience I had during this pregnant yet. Has anyone else
experience a charlie house during their pregnancy?
Woke up with the worst Charlie horse in my life. It started in my calves and pain shot up to my hamstring. Also it caused me to have some contractions just in my stomach not back. I can barely walk cuz it's still sore. Anyone experienced this during your pregnancy?
Well to starts I am a skater, for a local roller derby league. I just started but I have noticed a lot of pain and discomfort. The most recent happens when I am trying to skate as fast as I can my thigh muscle starts the cramp up, as well as my calf muscles. So bad to the point that I can barely lift my skate off the ground. When I stop skating Im fine but my knees are sore. I dont know what to do or how to fix it. Please help!!!!!
hi I am 31 weeks FTM and since 2 weeks ago my back,pelvis and right leg have been hurting non stop, I can't walk properly, can't turn around in bed easily and the only way to sleep without pain is with my maternity pillow (it is heaven)... I also had a prenatal massage, it was amazing but didn't help with my back pain.I feel like a broken grandma. My doctor said its normal, but she says everything is normal. Are you guys experiencing this too?
I only get leg cramps when I stretch while I am sleeping. These are very painful,sometimes makes me yell out. But if I stretch while awake, nothing happens. Anyone know why this is?
Recently I've been jumping out of bed with leg cramping & Charlie Horses is this normal & is there a cure?

My horse fell on my leg as we were walking up a hill. She fell with her legs pointed uphill. She rocked back and forth four times before I was able to get my leg out from under her. No broken bones, however the pressure of her weight broke my skin behind my knee. 25 stitches. My whole leg is covered with bruises. The accident happened 12 days ago. My calf keeps filling up with fluid. I have had fluid removed 4 times.
Like she said drink LOTS of water and try eating a banana
But the main problem is that it would be a high place to fall from, and some of the awkward ways we fall when we fall off a horse are really conducive to broken bones or worse. And horses are not very smart for their size, they can kick very unexpectedly if you are walking in the wrong place in relation to their field of vision. I knew a teenager who died from a kick to the stomach, and an adult (well experienced with horses) who died from a kick to the head.
I am from Southern kentucky and I am due in may!I'm 26 and this will be my first, tho my fiance has both a boy and a girl (6 and 5). We find out tomorrow what we are having.
My only dream about my baby was gender. I gave birth at a horse derby, everyone was wearing victorian dresses and after birth they took my baby away to put with the other babies at a salad bar. My boyfriend and I were running around trying to find it and each other. On the way there I bought one of the horses cause it was cute and when we got to my baby my dad was holding it and said it was a boy.
I know from experience that it can be sometimes difficult to have the horse pick up the wrong lead....and it is all about communicaiton and teaching the horse by your aids what you want him to do. It's important to ask just at the right moment. Just practice, and pretty soon, you will be doing flying lead changes !!!! :-) I have a Hanoverian that I do Dressage with and basic Hunt Seat equitaiton. He also jumps.
The pain is so bad i woke up moaning and groaning in tears, is this normal?
My daughter was in aaccident where she was on her horse and another horse broke free from his pasture, came over, and kicked her horse. Her horsethen ran into a tree with her still on it. She went face first into the tree and was flung backwards with her feet still in the sturrups.she has sustained both her legs broken, multiple facial and skull fractures, a brain injury and brain bleed .
