Avatar f tn Those two are very good together for knocking down migraines, which often have a hormone trigger. I find them effective for hormone-based headaches when doing IVF. Start with only a half pill of magnesium, it can give you gas-type cramps.
Avatar f tn So I had horrible - mind exploding headaches after the Pegasys shot last night which lasted for hours. This being a Saturday, I knew it would be difficult to find a nurse to discuss it with but I had to try. I do not understand why the Doctors answering service nurses are soooo uneducated about the treatment and were worthless in advising me what I can take to make the headaches better.
Avatar f tn There are a lot of different medications you can have on hand when bad headaches start so you dont have to feel miserable for too long. I have a prescription for Imitrex and only take it on rare occassion when I feel a whopper headache/migraine coming on. Otherwise, I just take ibuprophen/Advil if my head is a little achy. I really hope you feel better soon.

Avatar m tn And yes, if he is not eating or drinking, that can cause headaches. He needs to take his meds after breakfast anyway. Start with that first. Then talk with his teacher and see how he is doing at school. Does the problem continue there? I guess its always possible he could be doing this to avoid school?

Avatar n tn Headaches are of different types like tension, migraine, sinus and cluster headaches. Your headaches seem to be coming in cycles with either pain free interval or reduced intensity. Avatar f tn Mint is a great natural remedy. Mint tea, mint gum or candy. Go for a mellow mint like spearmint though. Peppermint and spearmint are both great for an upset tummy or nausea/vomiting. I find a good hot cup of just about any kind of tea or a nice hot shower helps me out a bit when my headaches get too bad.

Avatar f tn Iv had him read with me articles we googled about changes and hormones and he seems to be a lot better. When I experience something new, recently tons of headaches & bathroom trips, I include him in the journey & we'll talk about it. Avatar m tn Over the past two to three years symptoms also include severe migraine headaches, joint pain, and sleep disorders. Now I am 44 years old. In an effort to try and document a pattern, I recently clued into an increase of some symptoms just prior to or at the beginning of my period. (Stress definitely aggravates my conditions) I confronted my gyno, but basically got a response that it was a coincidence, and it had nothing to do with hormones. Could I be allergic to my own hormones?
