1936698 tn?1333915193 I'm confused. My doctor has never told me anything about hormone levels and looking out for them or anything. My friend just had a miscarriage last night at 11 weeks, and I feel terrible for her and I just want to cry because she was so excited. Her hormone level went from 73000 to 1200. How do you tell if your hormones dropped and what is so important about them during pregnancy? I'm 31 weeks along and I am so confused about all of it.
Avatar f tn Hormone levels as in HCG? I'd say no, that's not possible, there is a specific type of blood test (I believe) that you can get done to tell gender, but I don't think insurance covers it, so you'd have had to pay it out of pocket, did you have any issues that would require a specific blood test, or did you request one?

1878896 tn?1320583569 Hormonal imbalances can also cause headaches- are you taking any birth control, other hormone medications, or is there a possibility that you're pregnant? Headaches can also be caused by a side effect from prescription pills, withdrawal symptoms from nicotine and alcohol (and other drugs), low oxygen levels, flu and other illnesses, and of course tension and stress. (Do you have any exams coming up- those always gave me gnarly headaches and nausea.
Avatar f tn Headaches in women, particularly migraines, have been related to changes in the levels of the female hormone estrogen during a woman's menstrual cycle. Estrogen levels drop immediately before the start of the menstrual flow. Premenstrual migraines regularly occur during or after the time when the female hormones, estrogen and progesterone, decrease to their lowest levels.
Avatar n tn 06 levels are TSH levels -- this is a pituitary hormone that communicates with the thyroid -- a low level (<0.3) means there is too much synthroid coming in -- so actually a dose increase at 0.2 is not what we usually do unless except in certain special situations. Too much thyroid hormone puts stress on the heart. Lowering the dose is appropriate in your case w/ a TSH of 0.06.
Avatar f tn Was a complete work up done? Any blood test ( thyroid hormone levels, coagulation factor levels ?) Any scans done ( CT scan or MRI) ? I suggest that if thyroid hormone levels weren't assessed yet it is best to have this assessed by now. Another thing is in those twenty years ,have you been taking analgesics or anti migraine meds more than ten days in a month? Have you experienced worsening of headaches when you stopped taking the medications? Do keep us posted with your answers.
Avatar m tn Your hydration needs to be assessed along with electrolyte levels, or fluctuating hormone levels. The headaches could be secondary to issues in the neck, sinus infection etc. You will need clinical assessment, blood tests including electrolytes and hormone levels. You mentioned about postural variation of headaches. This could be due to spontaneous csf leak occuring without any dural puncture. This has been identified as spontaneous intracranial hypotension.
Avatar m tn Human Studies Using Combination Nutrients To ascertain the safety and efficacy of nutrients that are purported to modulate male hormone levels, the Life Extension Foundation sponsored clinical studies to assess the effects of specific supplements on blood levels of testosterone, estrogen, SHBG, etc.
Avatar f tn t check mine because I was only borderline low in the beginning. I have occasional hormone headaches from the baby but these are different they don't respond to anything, i was up to 1000mg of tylenol every 4 hours. My doctor gave me migraine pills I took the first today and it was gone in about 45 minutes :). Jem- I hope you don't get the withdrawl headaches, good luck. Thanks for the reassurance.
