3828469 tn?1358462325 m watching an episode where this lady has a week old baby boy and her hoarding is so bad there are dead rats everywhere! Like seriously how are these people allowed to take their kids home and keep them!?
7058746 tn?1393435420 they can smell the baby or pregnancy, it is instinctual to protect the weaker members of the pack. my dog still hasn't noticed, but she does enjoy staying in bed longer in the mornings. when the baby is born, be sure to have someone take the very first blanket they wrap the baby in home to the dogs - so they get used to the scent. the first one usually has some blood from the after birth on it, so good string smell.
Avatar m tn Liver function was quantitated weekly by the aminopyrine breath test (measuring microsomal function) and the galactose breath test (measuring cytosolic function) in rats made cirrhotic by bile duct ligation (n = 14) and in sham-surgery controls (n = 9). Nine rats died spontaneously of cirrhosis. Both the aminopyrine breath test and galactose breath test were sensitive (89%) predictors of death within 1 week, but the galactose breath test was more specific (83%).
Avatar f tn Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.
Avatar n tn rat club-med) as well as lots of shrubs. Our cousin who lives in the area says that rats are a constant problem. I feel like I have the right dog for my backyard, but my concern is once she kills the rat, will she eat it? I'm concerned about other neighbors putting poison out to kill rats and if she tries to eat one, she'll be poisoned as well. My thought is she'll just play with it until it's dead and then leave it alone. Yet I want to be sure. I'm really freaking out!

Avatar f tn I'd save to get the crib that turns into a toddler bed but im using my pack n play until I can get my crib
Avatar n tn I have a crib and I just bought a pack n play/bassinet combo but its the kind that sits on top of the pack n play and is in line with the bed so its sorta like a cosleeper edition .. i was dead set on getting a bassinet too until I seen this pack n play ..
Avatar f tn I used a pack n play for my daughter, who just turned one. She recently figured out how to climb out of it, and also that she can tip it over if she tries hard enough,. Up until then, it was really great because we are living in a tiny apartment for now, and it didn't take up too much room. We are moving to a house though, and I am planning to use a cradle and then a crib for my son.
Avatar f tn Same with the pack n play here. Crib in baby's room. Pack n play in ours and move it downstairs when we move baby to other room...then I have somewhere on the main level to stash baby when I'm doing stuff in those rooms...
Avatar f tn So.... my husband's parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months.

Avatar f tn We're using a graco pack n play for the first 6 months. My sister just bought one bc we tried it out on her kid and she loves it. It has an insert that clips on to the sides and is really stable. You can put a matress on that or just lay it on the bottom.
Avatar f tn That'll be a good idea...My daughter slept in her pack and play until she was 7 months but she could've slept in it longer. The one we got her had the bassinet part in the top and it was $70 at walmart. I used it about 2 and a half years ago and it still looks brand new. I could still use it this time around but idk if its a girl or not.
Avatar m tn Which makes me wonder, since men are generally made more of muscle then women (women are designed to have less muscle) Where and how does a man take his shot? Does he have to wait till he is waxen old?? or pack on a few extra pounds?
672939 tn?1227297507 Reproduction studies in mice, rats, and rabbits during organogenesis did not reveal any teratogenic potential to butorphanol. However, pregnant rats treated subcutaneously with butorphanol at 1 mg/kg (5.9 mg/m2) had a higher frequency of stillbirths than controls. Butorphanol at 30 mg/kg/oral (360 mg/m2) and 60 mg/kg/oral (720 mg/m2) also showed higher incidences of post-implantation loss in rabbits.
7758733 tn?1402589420 I have a crib and a pack n play and I set up the pack n play today and it doesn't seem like it should be the baby's full time bed. If your only going to get one I suggest a crib. A friend told me you can get good used cribs at a decent price on craigslist!
7998970 tn?1435183202 We got a crib and a pack n play that has 3 levels. It has a cute little bassinet for when they are tiny. Then it has a insert for when they are too big for the bassinet. It's like a foot deep. When you take it out it's just the regular pack n play. And your not suppose to put any blankets in with them.
4105678 tn?1356545271 I'm thinking of getting a pack & play with a bassinet in it vs a crib I'm so terrified of sids with a crib I've heard many stories, ladies wat do you think & wat will u be using??
951847 tn?1271136922 Critters? That thought just came to me. Dogs don't always whine when they are unhappy, but sometimes when they are excited. Maybe she's picked up the scents of......mice/squirrels/raccoons/moles/rats/cats...any other little critters she hadn't encountered before? -Or even the scent of neighbouring dogs?
Avatar f tn I need advice and/or help me understand why I should keep my baby in a bassinet vs a crib or the other way around. I never even knew what a bassinet was until my co-worker said something.
