Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.
So.... my husband's parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months.

i just wonder if the window period of 3 months is also applied for clinics in Vietnam or we're still using the old methods which take longer up to 6 months because Vietnam is just a developing country and lots of the information is outdated for so long. Anyhow, thanks for your answer!
My husband, who was a Vietnam Vet was diagnosed and died from cholangiocarcinoma. I have recently discovered that a number of VV's have developed and have died of this cancer. Some widows believe that it is because of Agent Orange (dioxin) and others feel that it is due to parasites in southeastern Asia, especially when the veteran did not have any of the other risk factors for this cancer.
Can you shed any light on this?
as mentioned by the others there is a risk. If you only have had one unprotected vaginal encounter as a male the chance of having done it with a girl who is hiv positive (in Vietnam the prevelance is 0,47%) and also in Vietnam it's not completely different from the rest of the world in terms that more then 50% is MSM around 10 to 15% is IV drug user (maybe in Vietnam IV is even bigger and also transfusions infections).
My husband was in Vietnam in 1967, he contracted dengue fever and malaria while over there. Sometime later he was diagnosed with MS. Is there any link between the virus, high fever, and or agent orange and MS?

Is there a syndrome/symptom of depression showing up in Vietnam War era military personnel who did not participate in the War directly? I served in the Air Force from 1964-1985 and had strong feelings about the war while it was happening and some of them continue to this day. I cannot seem to hear, see, or read anything about the war-time experiences of my fellow vetereans without having tears well up.
Hey, I went to a prostitute in a really sketched out area in Vietnam. She offered me a handjob and we did mammary intercourse(penis between breasts). You must be a Vietnam Veteran. Go to the VA and get tested - you are covered by the VA and you deserve to get diagnosed. Hope Agent Orange isn't what you have.

I am an Australian currently travelling through Vietnam and have have been scratched by a rat. The scratch mark was red however from what I can see didn't break the skin. I was not bitten. I cleaned the scratch with soapy water and then disinfectant afterwards. I had my parents speak to a doctor at home for me who said I shouldn't be concerned about my exposure. They also said rats rarely carry diseases such as rabies which I have been concerned about.
I am a Vietnam Veteran having serving 17 Months in that Country from Sept.1968 through December 1969.. In 2001 I was diagnosed with polymyositis. I am looking for evidence that this disease could have an underlying cause due to the extreme use of Agent Orange in the Republic of Vietnam. Is there literature supporting this theory ?? If so can you direct me to this literature or give me your Medical opinion.
I m 47 ys old living in Vietnam. I had Hydrocele at my left scrotum. Just done surgery for 3 weeks with jaboulay procedure at one hospital in Hochiminh city Vietnam.

I know exactly how you feel. The only rooms that aren't messy at my place are the bathrooms & the babys room lol! I work full time & when i get home I'm like why bother?.. Hopefully i get a day or two cleaning spurt & get it done!
