Common Questions and Answers about Hoarders vietnam

hoarders

Avatar f tn Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.
Avatar f tn So.... my husband's parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months.
599170 tn?1300973893 My brother served during the Vietnam era (although not in southeast asia) and my husband is a decorated combat veteran from the Vietnam era. He was a tanker pilot, and did air-to-air refueling in the skies over North Vietnam while under fire from antiaircraft guns and while being chased by Russian MIGs. To all who serve, thank you.
Avatar m tn Thanks LIZZIE LOU! i just wonder if the window period of 3 months is also applied for clinics in Vietnam or we're still using the old methods which take longer up to 6 months because Vietnam is just a developing country and lots of the information is outdated for so long. Anyhow, thanks for your answer!
17183 tn?1332094858 "Most Vets are humble and do not seek praise." So very true, so I will speak for my husband, who served. USMC, Vietnam, 1968-1970, Bravo Company. He was Gunnery Sargeant in the field; his platoon of almost 50 ended up being left with 8 men his first time out (Tet offensive '69); he spent 13 months in the bush. The second tour he spent mostly as an MP but got in trouble for having a penchant for constantly whistle-blowing COs. :) A belated Happy Veteran's Day to you.
148588 tn?1465778809 It’s scary, like Vietnam. Sort of like the Vietnam-era,” Trump said in a video that resurfaced Tuesday on Buzzfeed, “It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier.” It wasn’t the only time the Republican frontrunner for president would liken his personal life to wartime service: Trump has claimed that his military-themed boarding school education was essentially equivalent to having being trained in the military.
662972 tn?1270166301 She has 26 animals 11 outside big unfriendly dogs that only she can interact with which is ok, 6 inside little dogs and 6 or7 inside cats now she lives in older 2 bedrroom 2 bath trailer which is fine but once you walk in door all you smell is cat pi$$ awful and her house is a plum mess something you would see on tv hoarders that bad. She loves her animals and takes care them but not house.
Avatar n tn My husband, who was a Vietnam Vet was diagnosed and died from cholangiocarcinoma. I have recently discovered that a number of VV's have developed and have died of this cancer. Some widows believe that it is because of Agent Orange (dioxin) and others feel that it is due to parasites in southeastern Asia, especially when the veteran did not have any of the other risk factors for this cancer. Can you shed any light on this?
2059648 tn?1439766665 A while back I saw, what I assume was a military cover-up story, like this one, where they claimed Vietnam vets got hep C from either drug use or prostitutes in Vietnam. Many vets from that era, including some of our members on the forum, will tell you stories about the air-jet gun inoculations. They were so sharp, that if you moved slightly, they cut you. The men were lined up, and each were given a shot, without cleaning the gun in-between.
Avatar m tn as mentioned by the others there is a risk. If you only have had one unprotected vaginal encounter as a male the chance of having done it with a girl who is hiv positive (in Vietnam the prevelance is 0,47%) and also in Vietnam it's not completely different from the rest of the world in terms that more then 50% is MSM around 10 to 15% is IV drug user (maybe in Vietnam IV is even bigger and also transfusions infections).

Nearly every spring new names are etched into the black granite walls of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., which pays tribute to the more than 58,000 service members who lost their lives. Jim McGough is one of them.
Avatar f tn My husband was in Vietnam in 1967, he contracted dengue fever and malaria while over there. Sometime later he was diagnosed with MS. Is there any link between the virus, high fever, and or agent orange and MS?
Avatar m tn Vietnam Veteran with autoimmune disorder Palindromic Rheumatism for 20 years. My question is could my immune system disorder have been triggered from exposure to bacteria and viruses during my tour of duty in Vietnam, I recall being bit by all kinds of disease carrying insects.
Avatar m tn Hello doctor, I come from Vietnam, first I want to say that my English is not very good. I have a question about the spread of HIV. Some day before I have to use your fingers to the condom and vaginal irritation by prostitutes almost 1 minute, withdraw my hand and use a condom to wear it to your penis. Then prostitutes masturbate for me.
Avatar n tn Is there a syndrome/symptom of depression showing up in Vietnam War era military personnel who did not participate in the War directly? I served in the Air Force from 1964-1985 and had strong feelings about the war while it was happening and some of them continue to this day. I cannot seem to hear, see, or read anything about the war-time experiences of my fellow vetereans without having tears well up.
Avatar m tn Hey, I went to a prostitute in a really sketched out area in Vietnam. She offered me a handjob and we did mammary intercourse(penis between breasts). All of these action with lubricant on my penis and between her breasts. There was no kind of anal, vaginal or oral sex. I did not see her vagina as she told me strictly no intercourse or kissing. The next day i got a fever and i took antibiotics and it went away.
Avatar f tn But me I would just go to a family members and stay there for a bit. Hoarders have a weird attachment to their items.
Avatar n tn You must be a Vietnam Veteran. Go to the VA and get tested - you are covered by the VA and you deserve to get diagnosed. Hope Agent Orange isn't what you have. My hubby is a Vietnam Vet - 2 tours 1964-1969. Please let us know how your doing.
Avatar m tn I am an Australian currently travelling through Vietnam and have have been scratched by a rat. The scratch mark was red however from what I can see didn't break the skin. I was not bitten. I cleaned the scratch with soapy water and then disinfectant afterwards. I had my parents speak to a doctor at home for me who said I shouldn't be concerned about my exposure. They also said rats rarely carry diseases such as rabies which I have been concerned about.
Avatar n tn I am a Vietnam Veteran having serving 17 Months in that Country from Sept.1968 through December 1969.. In 2001 I was diagnosed with polymyositis. I am looking for evidence that this disease could have an underlying cause due to the extreme use of Agent Orange in the Republic of Vietnam. Is there literature supporting this theory ?? If so can you direct me to this literature or give me your Medical opinion.
Avatar m tn I m 47 ys old living in Vietnam. I had Hydrocele at my left scrotum. Just done surgery for 3 weeks with jaboulay procedure at one hospital in Hochiminh city Vietnam.
Avatar f tn Here's some websites I found that talk about it: At this VA website, in the search rectangle at the top, type in "Agent Orange" http://www.vva.org/ This is another VA website, on your computer keyboard hold down Control and F, a rectangle will come up at the top, type in "Agent Orange," and a bunch of articles about it will be highlighted on the page, and one post is by a vet who talks about glioblastoma http://www.facebook.com/posted.php?
