I have been watching the A&E series on hoarders. Very scary. My guess she won't clean much if she is one. Basically swirl the same chit around into a different pile in a different corner....ya, know?.......If I were you...as horrible as this may sound...you would be doing her a favor turning her into the Humane Society. Normal people don't have 16 dogs and they don't die of disease and buried in their yard...Ya know. Parvo is a horrible disease for an animal to die of.

Id die before I lived with dead rats and would NEVER expose a child to that. I understand some of those people on the show have problems, but when a kids involved you need to get your act togehter. Just my opinion.

Hi, I stand corrected. Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.

Before this pregnancy I used to keep a very very clean house. Like, show room model home clean. And literally I swear the day of conception the lazy a s s switch turned on because i can't think of anything less enticing than sweeping or picking up. Anyone else experienced this? I need to figure something out because I used to be so tidy and I'm only in my 1 trimester and if it keeps going in like this I'm gonna be on the next episode of hoarders!

But me I would just go to a family members and stay there for a bit. Hoarders have a weird attachment to their items.

So.... my husband's parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months.

There are a lot of new people here and not sure how many of you watch the show on A&E Intervention. It helped me a lot in my early days of recovery and i still watch it the odd time, I am going to tonight. Sometimes it's hard to watch as reality sets in, but it helps me to see. There is a good episode on now about a man with a morphine addiction. He started his addiction like most of us did with a Dr's Rx. His case he broke his back at work.

Hello I am 9 weeks with my second child, I had a bilateral wall tear with my first and had to have a blood transfusion, from that I got what is known as the big e does anyone on here have the big e or know of anyone who has and what was their expierences ? From what I know I would have to go to a material fetal medicine doctor and basically my immune system could attack the baby.

my hubby were going to get an E check before we got in the car a bee had stung him in the head, once we got to the E check place another bee had flew in the car & tried to sting hubby again I pulled out my wallet leaned over & killed the bee thus saving hubby lol when I sat back down I felt a POP than I sudden rush of fluids I knew immediately that my water had broke, I got out the car showed hubby my wet pants & said my water broke, the E check ppl let us go next hurried the inspec

I also have dark spots on my toes but its due to the fact that i have used a corn remover product named Freezone and it has left a red and black spot on the top of my toe and i dont know how to get rid of it

YES!!! It's nuts! It's very well produced, you feel like you're there. Did you see the one with the older woman home alone on her farm, and the drunk guy was trying to get in? OMG! And the young girl and her young son in the apartment when her neighbor broke in (he had been stalking her?) The 2 young girls who were drowning? Oh my! It's chilling! Good show though! Couldn't imagine being a 911 operator...how helpless you would feel at times!

Just avoid any strong detergents, soaps and creams to come into contact with your hands.This may be irritant or xerotic dermatitis. At night, apply a thin layer of vitamin E cream on the area. This will help soothe the skin. If the skin condition persists ,then a fungal infection may be present and you may need topical medications.

I am writing on the forums to gain some peace of mind. The anxiety of waiting for the result is horrible. The fact that we had been drinking (not to the point of blacking out or anything) leaves me wondering if I did anything else. I have three friends that were there and have told me that I didn't go anything stupid. I guess I am just paranoid. This has basically taken over my life.

i just saw previews for the show intervention on A@E and what a flashback i just had. it is about a guy addicted to pills of every kind and cocaine. they show him sniffing lines off a toilet in a bar, how sick. if you guys get this channel check it out tonight, it looked so good. it's on at 8 pm est.

He ha undertaken mitral valve repair in the previous August and they doctors were concerned h e had a heart infection. He is now n the way to recovery but it will a long time. I hope you husband now as some answers.

Upon taking him to the eye doctor he found a bubble on his eye that is hindering his sight. all he can see on the eye chart is the big letter E. The eye doctor said he is techinally "legally blind" in this eye. He wasn't sure exactly what it is. He told me I need to take my son to a specialist. Being Friday I have not been able to get an appointment yet, but will call first thing Monday morning. In the mean time I am quite concerned and was looking for some insight on this.

Paranoia in what form? Paranoia as a symptom of schizoaffective disorder is something I experienced before recovery and something I don't experience at all now. Many people here in the mental health recovery process experience it. Now if you mean paranoia on a societal sense sure. After 9-11 everyone in N.Y.C. was terrified we'd get hit again but that was a very real world fear. That's not paranoid.
