Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.
In my test, the doctor states hyperinflation and air trapping. My TLC is high (129% of predicted) and RV is very high as well (143%) but my RV/TLC ratio is within normal limits. (111% of predicted) ...would this still support a diagnosis of air trapping?
Also my FRC and TLC are both high, but my FRC/TLC ratio is within normal limits. would this still support their diagnosis of hyperinflation?
Is it possible that i just have abnormally giant lungs for my age and height?
my FEV1/FVC is normal 83.
So.... my husband's parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months.
The CLC0, actually DLCO, is definitely, significantly reduced. The borderline TLC and the definitely reduced RV and RV/TLC ratio are suggestive of restrictive lung disease. You failed to list the result of the FEV1 which would be the most important measurement for evaluation of asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), although the low TLC value would be against the diagnosis of either of these 2 obstructive lung diseases.
My TLC count is 3000 I had fever and urine infection also. My eosinophil is also little bit high. Should I take it seriously.

My doc is trying to reduce the dose. Since I was on tacrolimus only(as Mycophenolate causes TLC to go down in two occasion), sirolimus 1mg is started along with reduced tacrolimus(2mg BD, Tac level ~4.5). But the creatinine is still high(1.8). It seems some side effect of Sirolimus is also coming as the TLC is 3400 and platelet is 80,000.
What do you suggest to bring creatinine under control?
What is the way to determine the exact required dose of tacrolimus?
If pulse is more than 80 and blood shows high TLC counts, is suggestive of appendicitis. In case of ureter stone, urine usually shows infection and ultrasound is diagnostic, pain is usually radiating in nature.
Well colon pain is colicky or dull in nature, do you have recent history of diarrhea?
At that time (i.e. two weeks back) her blood result showed that her TLC has slipped to below normal (which is minimum 4) and was showing as 2.8. Her Haemoglobin seems to have settled around 11.2. All other results including Blood, LFT, Creatine etc show normal. Doctor reduced her CellCept to 500 mg (from 1000mg) and increased PanGraaf to 5 mg (from 4mg) and Wysolone (steroid) to 12.5mg (from 15 mg). One week later she had the tests done again.
I'm so sorry for what you are going through. I agree with you giving yourself some TLC. And take time to grieve- it's so hard to lose a pregnancy and you need to grave for your loss. Thoughts to you and your angel baby.
everything seems normal I compared my current tests with old tests all in normal range as before except TLC and Platelet count. Does this show any infection ? or is it truvada effect ?
TLC count : 8100 6 months before count was 4600 and normal range is 4000 to 11000
Platelete : 3.64 6 months before count was 2.1 and normal range is 1.5 to 4.5
Serum createnin is normal and SGOT/SGPT remained bit increased that because of Truvada.
We were trying for over 10 years, I got to a point where I couldnt watch it anymore. Now I never see it, it used to come on TLC here. It seems sureal to me too, im 37 weeks now so hopefully I will be holding my little bub soon :) God bless and best of luck to you!
Would the following results clearly show if a patient was being tested for restrictive v obstructive lung problems. I ask as part of the test results have been blacked out although i can faintly see number results for things like TLC, RV/TLC [which i haven't put on] Thankyou for your help
