hoarders

Avatar f tn Before this pregnancy I used to keep a very very clean house. Like, show room model home clean. And literally I swear the day of conception the lazy a s s switch turned on because i can't think of anything less enticing than sweeping or picking up. Anyone else experienced this? I need to figure something out because I used to be so tidy and I'm only in my 1 trimester and if it keeps going in like this I'm gonna be on the next episode of hoarders!
973741 tn?1342342773 Has anyone watched that new A&E series, Panic 911? It gets my blood racing!! It has been airing on Thursday evenings at 10 pm.
662972 tn?1270166301 I have been watching the A&E series on hoarders. Very scary. My guess she won't clean much if she is one. Basically swirl the same chit around into a different pile in a different corner....ya, know?.......If I were you...as horrible as this may sound...you would be doing her a favor turning her into the Humane Society. Normal people don't have 16 dogs and they don't die of disease and buried in their yard...Ya know. Parvo is a horrible disease for an animal to die of.
Avatar n tn I dont have health insurance currently and cant afford a trip to the doctors. I was diagnosed with anxiety attacks about a year ago, I was taking effexor 75mg. however it was making me feel like I was ina fog and my stomach wasnt agreeing with it. So I stopped taking it. I sometimes feel like I'm not in control of anything in my life. My emotions and such are running wild. At times I feel angry and really dont know why. I have taken counseling for stress management.
3828469 tn?1358462325 Id die before I lived with dead rats and would NEVER expose a child to that. I understand some of those people on the show have problems, but when a kids involved you need to get your act togehter. Just my opinion.
Avatar f tn Hi guys - I've got a quick question that some of you may have experience with. If someone is having a sustained period of PVST and they are hooked up to a heart rhythm monitor at the time, will the PVST show up on the monitor? And if so do you think a typical ER (A&E) doctor would be able to look at the monitor and see PVST if that is what is happening? I'm thinking back to the day my heart issues began...
Avatar m tn I am not really sure what to say. If they have done a full cardiac work up and can't find a cardiac cause, I am at a lose to explain this. To work this up I would probably check a 30 day event monitor, stress test, and echocardiogram. If they are all normal, I would suggest it is non cardiac chest pain. I am not sure what the cause is though.
Avatar n tn I did not have a full urine test just a dip test that showed white cells in the urine and some blood. The blood was not noticeable by color (urine was yellow). Another 2 weeks of Cipro (2x500 per day). I felt fine for another week after the course and symptoms came back. (3) This time I got 101 fever, while cells in the urine, some blood cells, no bacteria in the urine. I'm now on Levoquin for 2 weeks. During the 2nd episode I went and got a full STD panel test.
Avatar f tn omg, from weeks 6-9 roughly I'd sit around with no shirt, no bra, with a cold rag on mine! I found out I was pregnant at 6 weeks, but my boobs had been KILLING ME for probably 2-3 weeks.. I assumed it was my period coming, but they became unreal!! I waited 2 weeks after my missed period to take a test, but sure enough.. sore boobs & nipples were my first sign!! I DON'T miss that!!
Avatar f tn Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.
Avatar f tn Hi kelly I get this vertigo and when i get the vertigo i cant read look at the computer as my eyes wont focus proberly and all the words jump around on there own i had such a bad bout for 3 weeks i ended up in A&E as i had facial numbness and blurred vision which got worse over 5 days.
Avatar m tn A few years ago I got my first episode of full body pains. It feels like it resonates from my back, around my shoulder blade areas, throughout my entire body. It's about an 8-10 on the pain scale. It lasts anywhere between 5 minutes to 25 minutes. The first time it happened I went to the hospital because I didn't know why I hurt so bad. It stopped by the time the paramedics came. They didn't find anything afterward. It happens every now and then, I can't find a pattern to it.
Avatar f tn But me I would just go to a family members and stay there for a bit. Hoarders have a weird attachment to their items.
Avatar f tn So.... my husband's parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months.
Avatar m tn There are a lot of new people here and not sure how many of you watch the show on A&E Intervention. It helped me a lot in my early days of recovery and i still watch it the odd time, I am going to tonight. Sometimes it's hard to watch as reality sets in, but it helps me to see. This is a link for the show on tonight at 9pm est. Check it out, i am sure some of it will hit home. How many here watch this show? http://www.aetv.com/intervention/int_episode_guide.
Avatar f tn There is a good episode on now about a man with a morphine addiction. He started his addiction like most of us did with a Dr's Rx. His case he broke his back at work.
Avatar n tn When you went to the E,R, they must have told you that if you could not pay for their services that help is available to you on either a county or state level because that is a part of their discharge planning and social services protocol. I would try to get a little help w. this so you can be healthy and happy and move forward....good luck and there are literally thousands and thousands of people in you and your moms shoes right now if you live w/in the U.S.
Avatar f tn s extremely uncomfortable and makes it hard to breathe. Any suggestions on maybe how to make him move. I work 40 hours a week and I have a sit down job.
Avatar f tn On several occasions lately I have had some weird episodes. I will be walking then all of a sudden it feels like pressure builds up behind my eyes and they feel like they are crossing I get dizzy and have trouble walking. When I walk my body will lean to the right side and it feels like I'm going to fall over. I have to grab items to hold myself up. When I look ahead it is almost like looking through a small tube. It will last for several minutes.
Avatar f tn My mother is 54 years old and she has been diagnosed with empty sella hypopituitarism. She is placed on levothyroxine and predisone medication 2.5 mg dose. I am worried if she can live a normal life after these hormone replacement therapy.she was sick for past two years with intermittent episodes of nausea vomiting and now only she has got a diagnosis.
Avatar f tn HI...I am not a dr, but a MRI would be a good way for u to find out. There r so many diff conditions that have similar symptoms no one could say even a dr from just the info u gave. A full exam is needed as well as tests. Ur PCP should be able to refer u to a good neurologist.
Avatar n tn It is her wonderfully inspiring story about a brain aneurism that left her with a new perspective on life. It took her some time to recover but she made a full recovery with the loving support of her family and friends. This book is a must read for anyone who has anything to do with stroke. Blessings!
Avatar m tn t been to a doctor to get checked out beyond going to the ER then just see a doctor to get a full check up and let them know what you are feeling. More than likely you don't have anything to worry about but good to get checked out to know for sure. If your electrolytes are imbalance that could be part of the problem as well so just go for check up and take it from there. Take care. Keep us posted on how you are doing.
