hoarders

Avatar f tn I know exactly how you feel. The only rooms that aren't messy at my place are the bathrooms & the babys room lol! I work full time & when i get home I'm like why bother?.. Hopefully i get a day or two cleaning spurt & get it done!
3828469 tn?1358462325 I'm watching an episode where this lady has a week old baby boy and her hoarding is so bad there are dead rats everywhere! Like seriously how are these people allowed to take their kids home and keep them!?
Avatar f tn oh and a normal eeg after an episode does not mean that it wasn't a seizure. I watched a girl have a full-blown grand mal seizure and she had an EEG just after, it was normal.
Avatar m tn The normal spirometry values are FVC-80-120% and FEV-80-120%. Also, FEV1/FVC ratio, is a calculated ratio used in the diagnosis of obstructive and restrictive diseases. The report states there is small airway obstruction, which could be due to Asthma, hence you have been initiated on Ventolin. You may need a follow up spirometry, to see for changes in the lung function tests. You can also do steam inhalations prior to your meals. This helps to loosen up and bring out the secretions.
Avatar n tn has any one ever heard of having jaw pain while they are having a a-fib episode? I have read a couple articles and it says that it could be a heart attack symptom or a angina symptom. Thanks for your help.
1965148 tn?1354978634 As others here have commented, a real psychotic episode, which is a very serious event, must occur in order for their to be a true 'bipolar I' diagnosis. The diagnostic 'bar' for labling someone as 'manic depressive' must be high, because of the risks of the medications that are needed to control this illness, among other factors.
Avatar n tn she could ask for a tilt table test to see if she's having any other issues or if it was truly a vasovagal episode. here's some great info on fainting, dizziness etc: http:// www. cccgroup. info/ neurosyn.
Avatar f tn Hi! After a really bad SVT where I ended up in A& E, my Dr perscribed Labetalol 400mg per day. I have had three bad SVT's over 5 years, which lasted between 2 and 3 hours, but hardly anything in between, but since taking the meds for a month I have had a few very small SVT's which last only seconds and stop when I hold my noise and blow. Would the meds be making this happen.
Avatar m tn d consider as mini episodes where the rate is elevated but not as high as a typical episode where you can feel the thumping in your neck? Has anyone felt a click type feeling in the heart area just prior to an episode? (this happened to me for the first time this week while I was driving to work; also had the back to back episode at that time.
Avatar n tn A manic episode is a clearly defined state where a person's thinking process and judgment are speeded up and not rational. It occurs from over activity in the emotional part of the brain (the limbic system). Having experienced mania, before my current recovery, I know the basics feelings of euphoria and elation (an excess amount of happinness, that is not logical as a response to what is happenning) as well as a loss of clear judgment and logic.
1299272 tn?1312476830 Bipolar 1 means you get full out manias, bipolar two means you get hypomanias. If you google mania you'll be able to get a full description. Maybe someone else will explain. I am feeling too down tonight to get into it more.
Avatar m tn in 2015 she had another one and in 2016 she started having one every two weeks then every week then twice a week and at one time she had it for 4 consecutive days. After each episode she drunk a lot of water {she is not dehydrated} At the beginning she started complaining with chest pain migraine and fast heart beat but now she is only having migraine the whole day or the day before and passing out quietly for 5mn. she has always very cold hands and feeling all the time hot even in winter.
1310468 tn?1274863925 it sounds to me like a manic episode or hypnomanic episode. Iv had a full blown manic episode and its not pretty. usually a manic episode is just like what u described about your symptoms everyone is different though. usually though untreated we turn full blown manic and its not pretty. I was completely ocd, I had the recording thing going on in my head where everything repeated itself alot till it moved on to the next subject then the recorder as i call it started on that.
Avatar f tn As for the meds, I just assumed the meds I was taking would cover all of the diff types of episodes. None of them have been full proof. I always have episodes. But, without meds at all I might be living in the looney bin. Actually I invisione myself really living in one, one day. Needless to say my success rate with meds has been terrible so I don't know what my future holds. I will call my pdoc on Monday.
Avatar m tn Bipolar II requires at least one full depressive episode and at least one hypomanic episode, with no full manic or mixed episodes.
973741 tn?1342342773 Has anyone watched that new A&E series, Panic 911? It gets my blood racing!! It has been airing on Thursday evenings at 10 pm.
Avatar f tn So I have been having somewhat frequent episodes where all the sudden I feel light headed/dizzy/close to blacking out. When it happens I feel like I'm having heart palpitations, & shortness of breath. I talked to my OB about it. When these episodes were first happening, I was standing. He said it could be from blood pooling. Makes sense except the night before my appt I had an episode while sitting down. He said maybe it was my sugar was low. I had just eaten.
503607 tn?1275671579 I too had an afib episode once after a night of drinking and after I vomited. I think this happened because of the force put on th vagal muscle........
1717715 tn?1318297295 When you say you had metanephrines in your blood tested- do you mean plasma free metanephrines? Have they tested your thyroid function to be sure you don't have a hyperactive thyroid? Have they done cortisol testing? Have they tested any other endocrine hormones other than catecholamine related? Have they done a brain scan, given your dizziness, nausea and tunnel vision? What kind of tachycardia do you have- is it sinus tachycardia, supraventricular tachycardia or ?
Avatar f tn I know one thing is for sure, she has got to give this some time to work b/c we (me and her father and grandmother cannot handle a 3rd manic episode (for 7 or 8 days in a row) and keep her from being hospitalized. It is extremely exhausting and sooo hard when she flys into rages b/c she cant get her way or someone tells her no about going places and doing things. This last time was so rough, i know I can't do it and continue to work at my job and keep my sanity.
Avatar f tn Hi, I don't know if I'm posting in the correct forum. I wanted a little more specific advice than what can be offered in the pediatric forum. I have been scouring the internet to find information until our upcoming appointment, and I'm trying to make sense of it all. In the last 6 weeks, my 4 year old daughter has had what we can best describe as "weak spells". The most recent one, I called 911. Their best guess was that it is vasovagal in nature. Not syncope though.
Tbd We always recommend an annual physical which can help detect if there are changes in blood pressure. Increasing age is a risk factor for developing hyper tension. Here is a full list of risks. https://www.webmd.com/men/guide/high-blood-pressure. You had a real infarction at 35? That must have been a scary episode. Did you lose renal function from this? Do they have any understanding as to why this happened and at such a young age?
1139187 tn?1355706647 If it wasnt for these episodes i could probably get a job and work. I am a manager-level experienced person who sits on the computer all day and reads every post known to mankind. I thought originally this was from taking thyroid but its been 7 weeks now.
