3828469 tn?1358462325 I'm watching an episode where this lady has a week old baby boy and her hoarding is so bad there are dead rats everywhere! Like seriously how are these people allowed to take their kids home and keep them!?
Avatar f tn I know exactly how you feel. The only rooms that aren't messy at my place are the bathrooms & the babys room lol! I work full time & when i get home I'm like why bother?.. Hopefully i get a day or two cleaning spurt & get it done!
662972 tn?1270166301 I have been watching the A&E series on hoarders. Very scary. My guess she won't clean much if she is one. Basically swirl the same chit around into a different pile in a different corner....ya, know?.......If I were you...as horrible as this may sound...you would be doing her a favor turning her into the Humane Society. Normal people don't have 16 dogs and they don't die of disease and buried in their yard...Ya know. Parvo is a horrible disease for an animal to die of.
Avatar f tn There is a good episode on now about a man with a morphine addiction. He started his addiction like most of us did with a Dr's Rx. His case he broke his back at work.
Avatar m tn There are a lot of new people here and not sure how many of you watch the show on A&E Intervention. It helped me a lot in my early days of recovery and i still watch it the odd time, I am going to tonight. Sometimes it's hard to watch as reality sets in, but it helps me to see. This is a link for the show on tonight at 9pm est. Check it out, i am sure some of it will hit home. How many here watch this show? http://www.aetv.com/intervention/int_episode_guide.
Avatar f tn Hi, I stand corrected. Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.
Avatar f tn But me I would just go to a family members and stay there for a bit. Hoarders have a weird attachment to their items.
Avatar m tn i just saw previews for the show intervention on A@E and what a flashback i just had. it is about a guy addicted to pills of every kind and cocaine. they show him sniffing lines off a toilet in a bar, how sick. if you guys get this channel check it out tonight, it looked so good. it's on at 8 pm est.
Avatar f tn Hoarding is a problem they have not you. It makes hoarders keep ppl at a distance. I wouldn't take it too personal. Most ppl in any problem still need ppl around that care.
Avatar f tn About 4weeks ago i woke up in the early hours of the morning with pain in my chest and upper back and vomited quite alot i went to work and got taken in to A&E by abulance because i was in so much pain and counld not stop being sick, they took blood test to make sure it was nothing life threating and gave me some morphine and sent me home the same night once pain killers had worn off i had to go back to A&E and the repeated the same as before.
Avatar f tn E/A=1.35 E/E= 13 A=0.82 m/s: DCT = 73 m/s IVRT = 53 m/s (74+-7) Estimated RV/MPAP = 30mmHg EF= 60% TR Mild with Mild PAH During the test patient has Fast HR (Other all values are in normal range) except TAPSE = 28mm S wave = 14 cm/s * Fast HR was from my anxiety. Because I'm too anxious and suffering from anxiety disorder from past 5 months. The question is this, that i really have PAH or it is just misdignosed due to fast HR which put pressure on this? also my B.
Avatar f tn Hello guys, i had a one episode of unprotected vaginal sex with a csw, and test for eliza 4 at 19 days after the act e become begative, I'd like to know if a i need test again, and if my chances to get hiv are high.
Avatar f tn I agree with Jaquta, it will be interesting to read the expert's response... where is that fellow.... But seriously, I would have to say that the answer to your question depends on whether or not there is any evidence of mood cycling before this. Your family member might want to read up about cyclothymia and hypomania which are milder forms of mood cycling. If you have access to a library I like the book "Why Am I Still Depressed?
973741 tn?1342342773 Has anyone watched that new A&E series, Panic 911? It gets my blood racing!! It has been airing on Thursday evenings at 10 pm.
Avatar f tn I moved into his house after helping my mother out for a couple of years. His house looked like something out of a hoarders episode. The filth and clutter was so overwhelming that the first day I spent cleaning I ended up with Bronchitis and Pharyngitis from the damp and mold since he did not properly heat the house. After 2 months we finally made it inhabitible, but not clean by any means. To this day the majority of my belongings reside in my mother's house.
Avatar f tn In 2017 had some frequency and pressure for a few weeks and then episode of gross hematuria. Put on Cipro. Symptoms cleared right up. Culture was not done. Saw urologist. Cysto and CT w/o contrast done. Negative. Over the 2.5 years had irritative symptoms on and off with microscopic blood. Cultures negative. Urologist said IC. 5 months ago had a couple days of slight burning then episode of gross hematuria. Put on Cipro but culture came back negative.
Avatar f tn Prinzmetal is a spasm of a vessel and the appropriate test would be to provoke an episode in the cath lab with an injection of ergotamine. There is some evidence low levels of intracellular magnesium and therapeutic response to intravenous magnesium have led to the suggestion that it may be involved. Also, low plasma levels of vitamin E in patients with active variant angina and improvement in symptoms when vitamin E is used supplementary to calcium channel blockers has been observed.
1717715 tn?1318297295 When you say you had metanephrines in your blood tested- do you mean plasma free metanephrines? Have they tested your thyroid function to be sure you don't have a hyperactive thyroid? Have they done cortisol testing? Have they tested any other endocrine hormones other than catecholamine related? Have they done a brain scan, given your dizziness, nausea and tunnel vision? What kind of tachycardia do you have- is it sinus tachycardia, supraventricular tachycardia or ?
Avatar m tn I was watching an American television reality based programme called Intervention where they people are show before and then interveined upon with help if they like. The episode features a meth addict who they film shooting up meth, when she does so blood goes in the syringe in a way that makes me concerned about my chances once more. Sorry to post this up but it the truth...
Avatar n tn Well, I have a little more to say after all. Your statement about "subtype E" transmission led me to do a little research. Among other things, there actually is no such thing as HIV subtype E; the preferred terminology is "circulating recombinant form A/E" or CRF A/E. That this HIV subtype is more transmissible through heterosexual exposure is controversial, supported by some studies and not confirmed others.
1310633 tn?1430224091 I never watched that one either. I watched snooky once with my daughter and she was doing a hand flip in a mini skirt. I looked at my da who watches faithfully and talk about hanging your head in shame. Yes, I did it for her! lol I saw a story about some old dried up thing in a long black wig, boob job, obviously had her lips done cause they took up half her face. Opened a bar somewhere and was the hottest thing around. I just cannot imagine!
Avatar n tn Dehydration can cause heart rhythm problems... perhaps an AFib episode, but I'd think that would pass. I don't believe dehydration has ever been associated as a "cause" of AFib. Many of us are dehydrated to some degree most of the time and most of us do not have AFib. Be healthy, drink several glasses of water a day... and especially if doing anything that causes you to sweat.
676912 tn?1332812551 i am so sad ..
765828 tn?1306263868 What are you supposed to do during a manic episode? The only information available seems to be on preventing and maintaining them. For the last few months, I've been in a progressive manic state, but over the weekend, I thought I was doing better. Right now I feel like all that time building up has been jammed into this one day. I called my psychiatrist but the soonest available appointment isn't until March 11th.
